I ordered the Da Burger ( beef/sirloin) burger done medium. It tasted like 100 % turkey and the consistency was incredibly mushy. Our server (he never introduced himself) had to be flagged down so that I could ask if he had made a mistake, of course he said no. I told him I didn't want it and he could take it back, he asked if I wanted something else which I did not. The bill comes and I'm still charged for a meal that I took two bites from and was terrible. So what do you think? Is this a place you want to try? Good luck if you do. Stopped in on a Wed mid-day. Service was quick and food was awesome. Asked for burgers to be cooked rare and they were. Not often now that you find a place that will cook rare. Menu selection was enticing and craft brews on draft provided nice choices. Will definitely stop back again. read more

My vegetarian family along with my meat-centric parents all found something to love here. Waiter was A+.

They always advertise to 'come in and catch the game' so we tried it out for the big Patriots game last Sunday. We sat out in the back 3 season porch area and were told that they would be right with us. The bar was full but not too busy and there were two other people in the back room with us. We were ignored. Waitress walked by us without a look 3 times to get ice or something from the back. No 'i will be right with you' or anything. After 15 minutes we left. Awful awful awful. Came here for a quick dinner before we hit the road to head back to Boston after July 4th weekend at the lake. After waiting foreeever for our 2 draft beers, we got our appetizers: Boring jalepeno poppers with what I'm certain was velveeta inside. And the coconut shrimp, charred on the outside, raw shrimp on the inside. Gross. Then we waited another epoch of time until entrees dropped. My sister's chicken parm was almost totally raw when she cut into it. After the kitchen re-made it, she was served a portion approximately half of the original and fried within an absolute inch of it's life. We asked to speak with the cook (nope, I will not call him a chef) who's excuse for serving RAW food was that they just introduced a new menu. I have been to this place two times first time was pretty good the drinks are very good an the food was not bad .second visit was ok again the drinks are good. We got nachos with chicken looks like they forgot to put the chicken on very little same on the cheese. Will try it one more time hope they do better on the food read more

This past Sunday, Memorial Day weekend, my daughter and I went to a craft fair in Meredith. After the craft fair we decided to find a place to eat lunch that was in walking distance. We got to the Frog Rock Tavern and walked in the door and the waitress told us to find a table if we could. It seemed normal busy. I immediately saw a 2-person table on the left and my daughter and I sat down. The waitress came over immediately and asked for our drink order. I wasn't sure if I wanted alcohol, so I said not just yet. If I had known she was the only waitress, we would have given our drink order right away and our meal choices on the spot. She came back 15-20 minutes later to take our drink order and so we also ordered our meals, a salad and burger. We received our iced tea and soda after 10 minutes and now we were there 30 minutes. I felt bad for her since she was running around like a chicken without its head, so we patiently sat there. The 4-person table to our left received 3 different orders while we were there, guessing app, meal & dessert. Around 45 minutes there, a grandfather and grandson were seated to the right of us and the waitress stopped by our table and asked to refill our drinks. I said it seems like you're the only waitress here. She said the bartender was handling the people seated at the bar and there was a waitress in the back porch. I said I feel bad for you. I was wondering if you could check on our order. She said everyone came in at once and I am very busy and left. If that's the case, why was everyone getting their food seated around us? I was hoping she was checking on our order but I could see between taking orders, bringing drinks, processing checks, bussing tables, etc., that it was probably not going to happen. Twenty minutes after the grandfather and grandson were seated, they received their food. My daughter and I were in complete disbelief and I became very angry. We sat there for 5 more minutes, now a total of 1 hr 10 minutes without any food, then put the drink money on the table, talked to the grandfather about how long we had waited and walked out. I would have said something to the waitress, but I didn't see where she was. It was Memorial Day weekend and there was a huge craft fair across the street. I can only assume that they lost our order, but if she had checked like I asked, maybe somebody would have caught that. Extremely poor management. After the manager at Giuseppes completely FORGOT about the after party we planned with them and was rude to my guests, my wedding guests headed over to Frog Rock Tavern. The Frog Rock happily opened doors to my 100+ guests and even tried to buy me and my husband a drink. I've been to the Frog Rock before and the food is good and the staff helpful. Our kind of place. Nice place to go and hang out at. The food is a different story. Went there last night. I ordered a medium rare burger and it came out well done, dry and burnt. One of the worst burgers I have had. That goes the same for the other 3 burgers that were ordered, All well done. The steak tips that someone else ordered a medium, came out with a slight hint of pink in them and were dry, but the flavor was good. Too bad because this could have been a good dish. The teriyaki chicken skewers on top of the salad were more like chicken jerky. And the corned beef sandwich had very little corned beef in it. Drinks were good. I don't know why they bother asking us what temperature we wanted our burgers and steak tips done because the going rate seems to just be well done. I don't think I will be returning here or the rest of the group for that matter. read more

Went here and had clam chowder which was very good. Also had the buffalo wings and they were good too, but I was really disappointed with the portion. It was basically two and a half wings split, so five pieces of chicken, which is not a standard order anywhere that I have been. Place seems a little clicky and they stay around the other patrons who frequent it daily or often. Want more customers? Pay attention and also tend to new customers a little more. read more

Amazing atmosphere, a local favorite! Always great service and great staff. A must visit when in Meredith!

Absolutely terrible service. Walked in at 630pm in the middle of July and there was one server on duty- took 15min to get menus and another 15 for him to come back and take our orders. 45 minutes later our food was still not there. When the food did arrive, 3 of the 5 meals were completely incorrect (a veggie quesadilla was brought to us when a veggie burger was ordered) and one didn't come at all! Side salads were missing, dressings were incorrect (side of mayo instead of a vinaigrette?). We felt bad for the server who was obviously overwhelmed, but the owner, who was there, did nothing to help him out or see if he could accommodate us in anyway. The entire ordeal felt like we were on candid camera with the amount of mishaps. Beer and burgers shouldn't be that difficult. Besides terrible food and drink service, the chefs kept coming out of the kitchen door which was next to us, and slamming it shut. This place is perfect to be on "Bar Rescue". read more
