Finally timing worked out and we stopped by this past Sunday. Had two doughnuts and a cinnamon roll. Service was quick and friendly. Prices reasonable given the quality of what you get. We had one doughnut with sprinkles which was still so hot you couldn't even touch it. So soft and fluffy with big air pockets on the inside. Sprinkles weren't too much and neither was the frosting. Also had a cinnamon sugar covered doughnut which wasn't pipping hot but was still an excellent doughnut. They're so light that you don't feel ill after eating one. Lots of other cool stuff in the store like hand crafted soap, pickles, salsa, etc. There is also a nice donkey named Jimmy who lives next door. What else could you want. read more

I just frequented this bakery. I purchased $64 worth of donuts and honey buns. There were two women in the shop waiting on customers. I was the first customer in line, drove 7 miles (past many other donut shops on the way) to get there. This had been a favorite bakery for me growing up and this is the first time I have been back in about 10 years. Sadly, it was not a nice experience at all. The woman who waited on me was extremely cranky and did not treat me well at all. No matter how good the product is, this experience was a very unpleasant way to begin the day. Ahh trip four with my daughter brittney who is my travel buddy. So four weeks ago we saw an article on NJ.com about the 30 top donuts in NJ. being retired Law Enforcement I said to myself. Self let's go test this out see if the author is correct. Today we drove 1 hour and 40 minutes south to ocean view NJ to get a donut from Frog Hollow. This is a small quaint establishment as you can see in the photos. Your not allowed in but a peek through the window suggested it was cute. They only have 6 choices of donuts we had the cinnamon, sugar and chocolate glazed. The donuts were soft and not over powering with sugar. Out of the four places we have been these donuts were the freshest. HOWEVER I'm sorry but to me nobody can beat the Amish donuts from the Columbus Market on route 206. The frog hollow had property to it but not put to good use there was one dirty old table outside. It would be nice to enjoy a donut right there outside. Will I return, most likely not even though the donuts were fresh and good, there is not a lot of choices and the donuts to me were just a donut. They also close at 1pm feel bad for the cops down there lol. read more

My family owned a house in Sea Isle for the first 25 years of my life and Frog Hollow was always a part of our weekends. My husband and I have been there twice this past summer, the first time I'd been in probably 10 years, at least. The smell as soon as you walk in the door was exactly as I remembered. It really brought back amazing memories of family time at the beach. The donuts are exactly the same as they were when I was a child. There's nothing like a warm sugar or cinnamon sugar donut...we ate one as soon as we got in the car and had a good laugh as the crossfitters from the gym next door ran past the bakery. Anyone who goes to that gym is a goddamn hero for working out so close to Frog Hollow. What a hidden gem, & I mean hidden! Quaint little place on rt 50, looks run down from outside. Walking inside is like stepping back in time, very unique, with antiques, hardwood floors, even the display cabinets seem like they are from long ago. Classical music was playing when we were there. Nice people, & the donuts are really good. Sticky buns fantastic! It's a different kind of doughnut, on the small side. I recommend the ones coated with the granular sugar. The chocolate are decent, but not great. Again, awesome buns, & looking forward to trying more. Also, there is a donkey outside, & they give kids carrots to feed him, if you ask.
