Ordered a quarter sheet for a party in NYC and it was so good! So many guests raved about it! The buttercream icing is made with real butter and the cake was so light and fresh! I have had smaller theme cakes from here also (unicorn, etc) and both delicious and beautiful! Highly recommend for any special event! But order early, very much in demand! read more

I'm going to be honest here, I decided to stop in Baked by the Ocean solely so that I could write this review. Okay, maybe I wanted a cookie too.. I was upset to see that there were so few reviews of this place, but encouraged to see that they were all positive. This place is VERY new (May 2021). They said that they plan to stay open through the winter of demand is there and I really hope that there is. Despite it's fun exterior, Baked is an old-school bakery. They have a small selection of ready made baked good but their forte seems to be cakes and dinners made to order. I have stopped by a few times and it always smells delicious inside. I have deduced that this is probably the dinner she is cooking not the baked good. Hopefully someday I will have the foresight to order one. I got an iced sugar cookie and my girlfriend tried a vanilla cake pop. The sugar cookie was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. However, the CAKE in the cake pop was amazing! This place showed us pretty succinctly how well they can bake. Had my girlfriend not dropped most of the cake pop on the sidewalk, I might have paid more attention to my second bite! As I recall, it was perfectly moist and had a pleasant consistency. I guess this means I'll have to go back. You should DEFINITELY give this place your business. It may not look like much from the window but you will understand what I am raving about if you stop in. I only hope they survive the long winter and are open next summer! read more

For Easter, I ordered a lattice top Apple pie for my elderly parents. They enjoyed it so much, telling me that the apples were perfectly cooked and it wasn't terribly sweet. It was ready on time and delivered graciously by the hardworking women in the store. We have thoroughly enjoyed their pot pies during our Stay at Home time. My family got the chicken pot pie. I'm usually not a fan of the dish, but theirs is full of chicken, vegetables, and goodness. I would have had more but it filled me up fast! We also recently got a mini cake from here for my birthday. It was raspberry favored. Again, I typically don't go for raspberry, but with this bakery, I LOVED IT! I wish the icing could be turned into ice cream! I could eat it by the spoonful and the filling in the cake was amazing too! Everything here is beautiful AND delicious, and for that, it's reasonably priced as well! They'll reserve an order for you and they are also super friendly. Definitely give them a go. read more

Baked By The Ocean created the perfect wedding un-cake thatwe were looking for this summer. Liz delivered coconut macaroons (chocolate dipped and plain), cannoli, and 3 flavors of macarons gorgeously arraigned on a tiered stand with a small top level cake to finish the display off. What a great find we recently found this bakery just outside of ocean city N.J. We brought cupcakes, cookies and scones not one product was a disappointment all were made will quality products and had great taste. Most birthday cakes today are not very good. We ordered a Peppa-Pig cake for our grandchild it not only looked great it was also delicious usually no one takes home a slice from a store cake but we could hardly keep some for ourselves.
