Pastries tend to be on the drier side. Bought cookies first thing in the morning, yet they seem stale. Crumb cake is bland, not moist, and not sweet or cinnamon-y. Donuts have an odd taste as if that were fried in the same oil as something savory (almost like pizza herbs?). Server seemed a little impatient with. The ambiance is that if a normal bakery, but I did see more tiny flies than I'd like. I'll go to Mallon's or Lisa's instead from now on. read more

On our way out of Ocean City NJ the wife wanted to try Dot's croissant bun and since she wanted it we went to get it. We both agreed that it was nothing special or worth the drive down so far from most of the main area. The danish was odd tasting and I did not like the cheese stuffed inside. One of the old fashioned donut shops still operating today. Great options and selections available. The creme filled donut was awesome... just the right and generous amount of Kreme filling! Apple fritters could use more of a hint of apple but still well done. The part that made this a solid 5 was the staff and the way they boxed the donuts... with an old fashioned stringed box tier!!!!
