I was given a recommendation to check this place out by a friend and I'm glad I did! They have a large selection of beers and cocktails, the waitress gave a few recommendations that turned out great. Lots of pizza options for both vegetarians and meat lovers with flavorful ingredients and delicious thick crust. Patio has gas fires and heat lamps when it's cool out. They have a DJ a few nights a week and seen popular with the college crowd. read more

We had such an amazing time at Frog and Firkin in Tucson! We came to watch the U of A game and had an absolute blast, especially because we won! The food was delicious, the drinks were perfect, and the atmosphere was so fun and lively. Our waitress, Laken, was incredible. She was attentive, friendly, and just such a hard worker. She made the whole experience feel effortless and enjoyable. We ended the day with shots of Fish Piss, which was super fun and delicious. Laken truly deserves recognition for her amazing service. Its sad to think that customers cannot go to the bathroom for more than 5 minutes without being accused of intoxication. What's even more frustrating is the inconsistency in how situations are handled; rather than checking in with care or respect, we were immediately judged and dismissed. There was no attempt to de-escalate, no conversation, just an assumption and an order to leave, despite the bar being nearly empty of customers. My friend politely asked the bartender if she would like to know the honest reason she was in the bathroom for a longer period that normal (she was taking a shit) but the bartender declined her response and asked us to leave I used to recommend Frogs & Firkin to friends as a fun, welcoming place to watch UofA games and catch up with loved ones; but this experience completely changed that for me. A single interaction can redefine an establishment, and unfortunately this one showed a lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic customer respect. Until that changes, I won't be returning or recommending it to others. Do better Frog & Firkin or you won't be in business for much longer if I have anything to say about it. read more

I have so many memories of coming here in college and sitting around all day with my friends and ordering tons of drinks and food. We went back for homecoming this year and thankfully it's still pretty similar! Definitely don't expect great service when you come here, but still be nice! They are always understaffed so prepare to be patient. All of the food is good, especially the pizza, white fries, pretzel, etc. We didn't ask to see if they still had our beer cards from 2016, but if you're a beer person that's fun. We also obviously had to get a couple of rounds of Fish Pisses, but we forgot to ice our friends! My friend had ordered a mixed drink of some kind which was made incorrectly (a flavored vodka was used instead of regular I believe). The drink was really gross so she asked if it could be remade correctly, but our waitress seemed new and scared to ask the manager. Eventually the manager came over and told my friend it wouldn't be taken off of the bill (despite it being their mistake). So again, don't expect good service. The ambiance is awesome though, especially if you can get a seat outside in front! It's always fun coming back to Frog. read more

Went there on none other than St. Patricks day. As you can imagine, they were very busy. Considering that, I think the service was great. There were a lot of people drinking and it could get crazy but everyone working there was still patient and provided good service. I had their special of the day Shepherds pie and it was delicious! I am definitely going back there to try different food. Overall great experience. I have to say the music was a little too loud but again, it was st Patrick's day plus the restaurant is near university. So I can't really blame them. read more

We spent many School Spring Breaks in Arizona enjoying Spring Training and Frog & Firkin was always a stop for us for a good , fun meal. It had been several years since our last visit and we decided to give it a go for lunch . Always liked the lady Di sandwich so that's what I ordered. Our table also had a hamburger and a few beers and a couple margaritas. We sat outside at a large table. There is also inside seating which would have been a better choice as we ended up in a big downpour that day. The staff were helpful in getting us out of the rain and cleaning up. The food was not as good as I remember but it was still good. I think it will alway be nostalgic of our good times in Tucson and hold good memories but probably not be a frequent eatery for us. Not a bad place to hang out or get a drink, but if you're looking for a restaurant to eat at, I'd keep searching. I've been here a few times to eat and have been consistently disappointed my the meals. This most recent trip, a friend and I split the Firkin Cowboy Up Burger and the Lady Di sandwich. Our waiter was chill, but the restaurant was "out of half pound burgers" so they gave us a smaller one and said it'd be discounted, but it was not. Not a good sign that the dry and bland burger turned turned out to be the highlight of the meal. The chicken sandwich had some funky flavors and the buns were rock solid. The food was terrible. Our waiter was excellent, but the kitchen and the manager are trash. Asked for a medium well burger and they gave me a rare burger twice. I wish I would have taken a picture of the first burger as it was just as raw as the second. Not sure what happened to this place it used to be good, but it has gone down hill. Luckily there are several much less expensive and higher quality establishments than this dump. BTW the manger wasn't doing crap. Was just watching the football game and getting drunk. Has a real attitude problem. The manager was being rude to my wife before I arrived. He didn't look our way when I arrived, but the interaction he had with my wife indicated that he was a real jerk. I've been a big fan of Frog and Firkin since I moved to Tucson 21 years ago, and it's nice to see that the quality and consistency of food and service hasn't waned over the years, despite a frequently rotating staff (as is the nature of most campus-adjacent restaurants.) The house-made Italian vinaigrette is I think the best salad dressing in town, and even though I love F&F's pizza, I have to get at least a side salad every time I visit. The specialty pizzas are all great, and I love that they still sell by the slice (or giant slice, which is very big and very fun.) I tried out the Elote Firkin on my last visit and was blown away. Amazing combo of flavors with just the right amount of heat- it's definitely become a new favorite the next time I'm craving an untraditional slice or pie. read more

They put one piece of pepperoni on each piece. Service was good at first, but no check back after we received our food. I Never received my salad dressing I requested. I ordered the Elizabeth feta orzo salad which was 90% lettuce. The orzo, feta, etc was scooped on top of bowl of lettuce like a scoop of ice cream. It was a thick consistency. Ordered the nachos, cottage salad, and firkin pizza. Nachos were cold and had only a sad sprinkle of red onions and black olives. The cottage salad had old arugula pieces and old and dry mushrooms. The firkin pizza was just mediocre. We wouldnt mind the food so much, but its the service that was horribly slow and apathetic. If youre there for a beer and some small talk, good atmosphere to do so. But other than that--i would NOT recommend this place. read more

Friendly staff and great food. They have a ton of drink options including cocktails and beers. I got an adult Shirley temple in cocktail form (they were able to make this a shot as well) Their pizza is amazing! I'm a huge fan of deep dish so the bug fluffy crust was right up my alley. Their isn't a ton of sauce on the pizza so you may want to get some sauce on the side to deep the pizza in or if you're like me you'll dip the pizza in ranch! Hosted an afterparty at Frog n Firkin last Saturday with around 100 people. We rented out the backroom and ordered pizza/garlic knots for the attendees. The food was delicious. Garrett was super responsive when setting up the event and answered all of our questions. The space was large and, while it was definitely busy, the wait staff worked really hard to keep the drinks and food coming. Everyone had such an amazing time! read more

Oh boy where do I start. A bartender kicked us out because my friend was taking a poop in the bathroom. Put some respect on their name for the indecent they caused. I think it's rude and crude for them to kick us out just because we were having a bodily function. To the bartenders that where there when u of a played Kansas state. I would love to see you in a ring and would love to know you reasoning/the camera footage of our night because 1. We weren't in there for more than 30 mins and 2. Giving us a drink because you "were being nice" isn't the same as serving someone a drink they ordered. Check your staff before they come at me and my friends. Frog n firkin has been on my shit list for 2 semesters because of their bartenders. Because of them I think they need better management and better bartenders. It's fucked up for them to look at normal students who show what the u of a is all about. I came here with a group of 7 today and the wait for food was pretty long. I had the Hen House sandwich and there was this white slimy stuff all over it that did not taste good at all. We were the only people in the restaurant during the early evening on a random summer weeknight. We assume there must be a smaller summer menu and that most staff are away for the summer because half of the things we tried to order (even if they were on the menu) were missing ingredients (out of hamburger patties) and couldn't be made. The time it took to make the food was way too long too. Thankfully the staff were very easy going and even gave us the remote control to flip around channels between different games. My burger was honestly pretty dry. When the server placed my dish in front of me, he did so kind of quickly and clumsily and spilled the ketchup all over the table (I don't think he noticed). I probably wouldn't come back to this place until the school year starts again when they will be hopefully operating fully so we can order what we want. read more

Our booth was ok, enough for 4 people, despite the fact that we sank deep into our seats (it was hard to get out of there to step to the bathroom). There are 5+ televisions in there playing a variety of channels all at once. It is exceedingly distracting from the quality time I wanted to spend with the others. I understand having televisions at the bar, but the ones on the walls surrounding the seated guests was far too much. Food- What we ordered~ Green Fries: Too little brie, we had to scoop out for it. The pesto tasted okay. The fries were overdone. It felt like we were biting into oil. Don't order for the fries, you will be disappointed. 1/2 lb Firkin Cowboy Up Burger: Not the biggest fan of the pretzel bun, I felt the taste clashed with the rest of the burger. HOWEVER! If you enjoy pretzels, then you'll likely be okay with it. There was one taste overpowering the rest- wasn't sure if it was the bacon? I wish there were more balance in the flavor. And again- the fries were overdone. Kings Revenge Sandwich: Overpriced for the small amount of meat it had in it. It also lacked flavor. Service- Our server was fine. read more

I ate here with a group from work at lunchtime and was pleasantly surprised at the excellent service, delicious food, and delightful atmosphere. Since we were a larger group, they satus in the back room, which turned out to be quite empty and perfect as we were able to converse nicely without a lot of noise. Our server came by promptly and took our drink order, and then returned with our drinks very quickly to take our food order. The food came out within a reasonable amount of time. I ordered the Nottingham with fries and a side of ranch. It was delicious. Some of my colleagues ordered various types of salads that were absolutely huge and more food than two people could even eat. Both were delighted and took leftovers home. Overall, it was a very nice experience! The best part is the street car stops literally in front of this restaurant, making it very easy to get in and out of the crowded Main Gate area. There was also outdoor seating in the front of the restaurant. And the back room that they sat us in, also has doors that open up and allow one to sit out on the patio and watch. I just moved back to Tucson and visited Frog and Firkin for the first time in probably ten years or so. I was disappointed the Mediterranean Salad was gone, but I guess I should expect the menu to change a little in a decade. I ordered the Far East Chicken Chopped Salad... I was confused when I got it because I didn't see any chicken. My friend at my table also ordered it and her salad looked the same way. It was the tiniest amount of chicken I've ever seen on a salad. The salad also came out with no dressing. I asked our waitress for some more dressing and she went to get it and came back to tell us they were out of that dressing. When you order an Asian salad, don't you expect a specific dressing? I wish she would've just asked if we wanted a different salad. I feel like we should've been comped for this abysmal salad. The redeeming thing about last night was the live music. Brooke Sample was singing and she was phenomenal!!!!! We were singing along and having a blast. Yesterday after hiking 7falls with friends from mexico one of them told me about this place about having the best burgers in town. So we went. We went next door of frogs and firkin to try the pizza aswell after ordering food at frogs we went go a slice next door. And the treatment after we came we pizza was bad really bad they talk disrespectful to us. After we told the server we had order food and drinks. We put the food away and we were watching the football game ignoring the situation bc we were hungry we didn't eat all day it was like 4pm. And they came bad been super rude again telling us they had to take the food away bc we were eating when we weren't we where having the drinks sainting on our food. Tbh I don't recommend this place at all service it's horrible. At the end when we paid and still tip bc we understand the job as a server and tip they started being nicer. Which is not good horrible service never coming back at all. They ruin the day the food the service. To the 2 young ladies the where serving yesterday night you guys need to have a little more empathy when you talk there's ways to tell people not to do something not be rude talk rude act rude and take the food rude worst service I have had in Tucson ever. read more
