I was given a recommendation to check this place out by a friend and I'm glad I did! They have a large selection of beers and cocktails, the waitress gave a few recommendations that turned out great. Lots of pizza options for both vegetarians and meat lovers with flavorful ingredients and delicious thick crust. Patio has gas fires and heat lamps when it's cool out. They have a DJ a few nights a week and seen popular with the college crowd.

Came here for lunch, I didn't love or hate it. I got a watermelon coconut marg and that was delicious, the burger for me was average. I would probably order something else if I were to come back. Our server was super nice and checked up on us often and overall the vibes inside were fun overall.

Can't pour for sh*t. Love going here first time I've had a bad experience. Bartender refused to do a repour after I kindly asked.

Went here starving and must say the staff was very friendly and attentive however the food was not very good. My burger was very dry and I personally did not enjoy the flavor. We also got a pretzel for the table that was just okay. The fries were the best part of the meal for sure. I'm not saying I would never return but I definitely would not be ordering the same items if I were to.

the lady di

Absolutely loved this place!! We had the most amazing server, her name was Natalie and she was the cutest and so helpful! We had never been here before and she did amazing at recommending and describing the different items on the menu! This place is a great spot, super close to campus and is very lively! We will definitely be coming back to visit the frog and our lovely server Natalie!!

Went there on none other than St. Patricks day. As you can imagine, they were very busy. Considering that, I think the service was great. There were a lot of people drinking and it could get crazy but everyone working there was still patient and provided good service. I had their special of the day Shepherds pie and it was delicious! I am definitely going back there to try different food. Overall great experience. I have to say the music was a little too loud but again, it was st Patrick's day plus the restaurant is near university. So I can't really blame them.

We spent many School Spring Breaks in Arizona enjoying Spring Training and Frog & Firkin was always a stop for us for a good , fun meal. It had been several years since our last visit and we decided to give it a go for lunch . Always liked the lady Di sandwich so that's what I ordered. Our table also had a hamburger and a few beers and a couple margaritas. We sat outside at a large table. There is also inside seating which would have been a better choice as we ended up in a big downpour that day. The staff were helpful in getting us out of the rain and cleaning up. The food was not as good as I remember but it was still good. I think it will alway be nostalgic of our good times in Tucson and hold good memories but probably not be a frequent eatery for us. Fun place for some snacks and a few cold beers with friends. Staff was great!

Firkin Cowboy Up Burger

Not a bad place to hang out or get a drink, but if you're looking for a restaurant to eat at, I'd keep searching. I've been here a few times to eat and have been consistently disappointed my the meals. This most recent trip, a friend and I split the Firkin Cowboy Up Burger and the Lady Di sandwich. Our waiter was chill, but the restaurant was "out of half pound burgers" so they gave us a smaller one and said it'd be discounted, but it was not. Not a good sign that the dry and bland burger turned turned out to be the highlight of the meal. The chicken sandwich had some funky flavors and the buns were rock solid. They also brought out some of the food out incorrectly. Overpriced and underwhelming

Gross raw burger

The food was terrible. Our waiter was excellent, but the kitchen and the manager are trash. Asked for a medium well burger and they gave me a rare burger twice. I wish I would have taken a picture of the first burger as it was just as raw as the second. Not sure what happened to this place it used to be good, but it has gone down hill. Luckily there are several much less expensive and higher quality establishments than this dump. BTW the manger wasn't doing crap. Was just watching the football game and getting drunk. Has a real attitude problem. The manager was being rude to my wife before I arrived. He didn't look our way when I arrived, but the interaction he had with my wife indicated that he was a real jerk. Do better frogs. We need a manager that isn't getting drunk during his shift. Very low class.

Busy on a Weds 330PM shortly after doors open, after 2 days off, but understand it fills up even own the patio and after tasting you'll know why :) Fine dusted parm topped a zesty house dressed $13 Caesar that was pre-split for sharing. House croutons need more of a blast in that wooded oven to crisp up as they were limp and doughy but still polished off the greens. 4/5* Love me some Mortadella and hard to find on menus even in an Italian Grinder here, so my focus lasered in on Tony Balona $18 with Burrata, smoked mozz (didn't taste any smoke) and pistachio dust (very minimal at center, wah), thick swirls of pistachio pesto and switched red sauce for garlic oil, a thin simple sauce. Pistachio not really noticeable in pesto or dust, I really enjoyed my pie, though its not as complex tasting as you might believe. Dough with it's black blisters definitely shines. 5/5* Hub's Classic Pepperoni $17 was flooded in lil' crispy cups; devoured! Happy Hour Bonus 3-6P weekdays, $2 off Appys incl our Salad. $10 cocktails ($6 off!) and $6 Drafts & house wines. Beechwood Brewing centraholic West Coast IPA 7% ABV, a Golden hoppy entry with med bitter to end, Light body and lasting Creamy head was a great pizza accompaniment, as was a regular vs White Negroni on menu. Had an herbal syrup less bitter front than a typical in your face Campari sip. Service was efficient. Water carafe to table on seating. Sure hope they save the water left over given the constant desert shortage, as we only drank 1/3 due to our ABV glasses. On Penelope return, I'll fight to try the fresh pasta unless the Dough menu punches me into submission again! Haha

We were seated right away since it wasn't busy, and things started off simple enough with bread and oil. We asked for parmesan to go with it, and our server seemed unsure how to respond, eventually bringing out packet parm even though fresh was clearly available. Not a huge deal, but we found it odd. A little later, we asked for more bread. The server told us they were out but, "that they could probably make more". . He relayed it to the woman handling bread, who then made more for another table and skipped us entirely. He mentioned it again to her when he saw us looking in their direction. she looked over, and still nothing. It was awkward, since the restaurant is the size of a closet. Once the pizza came, we got up ourselves to ask for more oil and parmesan, since our waiter hadn't come to check back. We got the oil instantly since we brought us the bowl, but no parmesan. At one point my son asked for bread, again, finally it came and the server literally tossed it on the table without a word. We said thank you and he completely ignored all of us. It didn't get any better from there. The bill was dropped on the table without a word either. My husband and I kept looking at each other with confused looks. We turned the bill in with our CC, and once the server returned it, same thing, not a single interaction. We also watched the same server make another table feel like an inconvenience over something as simple as asking for a bottle of Coke instead of a can. The customer ended up backing down just to avoid the hassle. The server then told the guest, "it's fine, I can get it for you!" On top of that, staff were wearing gloves while handling food, but also touching chairs, phones, and other surfaces; kind of defeats the purpose I think? My boys also had a weird interaction with a staff near the bathrooms who was very rude to them and accused them of cutting the line, despite no one waiting. It was very strange. Bottom line: the food is incredible, no question. But the service was so bad it's hard to ignore. Best advice, get it to go and skip the experience inside.

I was glad for his help, but there was a good whike in between that I feel was a little weird and lacking of service. So we ordered a 12 inch pizza half company combo and half carnivore. We also got an order of the sweet chili wings . The sweet chili wings were cool, not bad, but also nothing to brag about. The pizza I was actually disappointed in... it reminded me of pizza from the frozen aisle at the grocery store. It was thin and had a crunch at the bottom. I will say that I like my pizza dough, thicker, so that probably affected my opinion of their pizza as well. Glad I tried it, but don't think I will be back.

I also liked the sauce they serve it with here: tart sauce with basil and herbs. I felt the the serving size was small for $8 . I enjoyed trying it here but will probably not get it more than once at that price per serving size. They serve it with cheese typically but I asked for no cheese to make it vegan. The guy that took my order at the window seemed very confused/ weirded out when I asked if they charge a fee to pay with credit card. He generally wasn't very helpful or communicative and seemed generally bothered by questions. He also didn't think to mention they don't have disposable silverware for to go order (my pannisa was drenched in sauce- delicious but I definitely ended up going inside to eat it with a fork). Another staff member seemed more pleasant though and more willing to answer basic questions politely. On another earlier visit I tried their focaccia. It is a sourdough focaccia with roasted red pepper jam, rosemary and garlic. Typically it has ricotta too which I asked to remove. I loved the dough and garlic. The jam was good too, maybe a tad sweet for me though. It reminded me a tad of sweet and sour sauce. They have a margarita pizza without cheese available on the menu too. I didn't try these yet but liked seeing that they served some interesting non alcoholic beverages like cocoa soda with cocoa husk or cola dosa with Guajillo chiles and citrus.
