This place is the stuff! Been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Wish the shop in Croydon was still open as it was close to my house. I first tried Fritz's when our daughter was born. A neighbor brought them over, now we're hooked. The cinnamon rolls are the best! They are huge! The sticky buns are my personal favorite. I love the ones with raisins, nuts and cream cheese. They also do pumpkin flavored in the fall. This is all around a good place, they offer much more then sticky buns. Well worth the calories! I love the fact that they are open on holidays i.e Thanksgiving and Christmas. We always take them to family parties, always a hit. We will continue to shop here. I tried several of their sticky buns and I have to say that I was not disappointed. Thank goodness I shared them because it was hard to stop eating them. I also got a brownie with peanut butter icing and one with cream cheese icing. The brownies themselves could have been a little moister. The peanut butter icing was good, but a little grainy. Kind of reminded me of peanut butter cookie batter. Their cream cheese icing is stellar! They even sell small containers of it for 75 cents and it was well worth it! The sticky buns with the cream cheese icing are just amazing. The icing is rich and creamy yet simultaeously light and fluffy. The sticky buns themselves are buttery, flaky and literally-melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I had one for a late lunch and it was the best thing ever. They also have cakes, cannolis, and brownies here but the stickybuns are the items to get. Grab a dozen for ~$12 and an extra container of icing for $3. I really like this bakery because they are not highway robbers! Their prices and portions are a good value for the money. I absolutely love their old fashioned cheesecakes - only $5.50 for a small. What a deal! Cinnamon Buns with cream cheese icing - these are fabulous! These rival Cinnabons at the mall, but are less expensive here! A MUST TRY!!! Now comes the bad....Butter cake - I have been eating butter cake from Philly my entire life, unfortunately the two bakeries I used to buy it from closed. Fritz's gooey recipe tastes very good but it is missing the cake bottom! It's all goo and should be called butter soup! There is NO CAKE. You have to eat this with a spoon or where a bib unless you refrigerate it and get it colder to thicken up. We bought five of them yesterday between the 3 of us and will never buy them again. This was the only bakery that offered to make a cake for me in such short notice since I found out last minute that my bf was coming home for his birthday. If you want to get a true "five star" cake that everybody will rave about, get Fritz's "San Francisco" cake, but tell them to make it with chocolate cake (vanilla cake is the default). The vanilla cake version is good (3 1/2 stars) but Fritz's chocolate cake is great. Unless you're on a tight budget order the cake one size larger than you need, because you'll want plenty of leftovers! If you are on a tight budget, get the chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese icing (tell them "NO sprinkles!"). They're about $10 per dozen, and two per person will be more than enough. While shopping late today at the mall made a stop a Fritz's bakery at the Bensalem location. Picked up a few favorites one of them being the eclairs. The baked goods are always to die for but today there is something definitely wrong with the eclair filling. Has an odd taste taste to it, leaves a bad after taste. Even the box that the eclairs were packaged in has an odd smell..Just threw the eclairs out..I hope that my family doesn't get sick from just tasting them ..Very disappointed.. read more

The women are wonderful, the prices are really good, and it's nice and clean inside. They did a phenomenal job on my husband's 50th birthday cake and a super AWESOME job on my nephews Birthday cupcake cake. Sticky buns. I love sticky buns. Mmmm. If that could be a real review, I'd leave it at just that. When I do sweets, I usually do ice cream or gelato. I won't often indulge in a cake, pie, danish, cookie, bun, etc.- unless it's going to be worth the sugar coma. Prior to my visit today, I was often forced into eating deliciousness from this place whenever my boss would bring goodies to work for the staff being sticky buns and cinnamon rolls. The buns and rolls are great in the microwave or not even...they're just great. The butter cake melts in your mouth and pure diabetic heaven. Today I decided to stop in.
