Best place ever! Huge fun of all of their Fritas, passion fruit batidos, and their mojitos! The service is always excellent and I always leave with a smile! read more

yummy cuban inspired (if not totally authentic ) goodies. its all pretty tasty so its all good to me. frita chorizo: i got mine fully loaded! with fried egg, bacon (more like pork belly) mango slaw, cheese and a ton of other things. too big and messy to eat sandwich style. this is a fork and knife affair. best snack ever: interesting name. dressed up rice and beans covered with cheese and salsa. garlic cilantro fries: a bit greasy but so tasty! place has a decidedly hipster vibe. the communal tables are a nice touch making dinner an uber casual occasion. check it out! read more

Great Cuban place to find an awesome place for kids to indulge in burgers, banana fritters kind of sides. Getting a table can be long as it's frequented by students. It was fun sitting out on a summer evening. read more

At first my mouth was watering with the flavors of my delicious burger and fries. My friends with me agreed with how truly delicious the food was, my friends burger was looking a little pink but she didn't think much of it and decided to stop eating it. 2 hours later my friend is running to the bathroom in insane pain. She passes out, pukes and is having intense pain and sweating. Another hour later she disposes of the bright red meat through her mouth and well, other places.... I am assuming the undercooked meat had some sort of bacteria in it causing this (due to her never having problems with meat) I really loved this place going to it, but my friend having to go to the hospital over a burger from here is not something I will disregard. read more

One time I went in and had the best fried plantains! Then every time after that they were kind of soggy. Also the turkey burger was soggy. But I have so many friends that love this place, maybe it's not them, maybe it's me. The place is always clean and the ingredients always taste fresh. read more

So good. We had walked by several times and was always busy. Finally went on a Sunday for lunch. Would highly recommend the Cuban!!!

I was able to come here for my birthday! I missed home a lot and the food here reminded me so much of Miami and family food. It was a clean place with such helpful workers and the food really fills you up. I would love to come here again! read more

Excellent. I only wish I had more room to try one of the batidos and a churro. I had the kids beef frita meal and a side salad. Both were excellent. Super cute place with dominoes (and game instructions) at every table. You sit family style or at the counter. Fresh and good ingredients. Great service with a super friendly staff. I drowned my awesome fries in the seasoning and spicy sauce for some extra extra. read more

Overall despite it being a little pricey, I love Frita's and will be back again! Food: The different combinations available are extensive. I recommend picking your meat and then going "loco" with the toppings. The fries are definitely not to be left out either! Drinks: Love the coconut cream batido. But the others are all awesome too. They are a little heavy though so if you're a light eater you can definitely share the batido with a friend! Ambiance: Super chill! Most seating is shared so don't expect a ton of privacy. read more

A few different people who live in Ann Arbor recommended I go here, and I completely get it. Such great food, very friendly staff, very reasonable prices given the quantity of food you're given. If I'm ever back in this city, this is the first place I'm headed. read more

Had the double chorizo burger with Muenster cheese and their salsa along with a lime Batidos. Both were excellent. I will say that you need to be very hungry to polish off the double as I brought some of it home. read more

Went during lunch time . It was completely packed service was prompt. Staff was very nice but very limited seating . Drinks were great but food was very greasy. Took few bites and food was very oily. Its not very authentic food basically American version of Cuban food I guess. read more

Excellent food. Great every time. Definitely get a burger. The plantain chips are tasty. Lastly, you've gotta get the Churros.

Delicious, unique culinary experience for our first meal in AA! The young lady taking our order was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, and the burgers and fries (from the dedicated gluten-free fryer) that arrived a few minutes later were delicious! We even ordered a second basket of fries after polishing off our first round of food. Sadly, it was too cold to try the Cuban milkshakes, but hopefully next time - would definitely eat here again next time I'm back in AA. Check it out! read more

Food is clean and authentic - intensely flavorful if a tad on the heavy side. Value is very good. Decor is minimalist and effective. Most definitely would recommend, and will return in the future. read more

These burgers pack a punch! So many good flavors and textures to enjoy. I ended up eating my beef frita with a knife and fork because making it loco style involves a lot of deliciousness in one sandwich. read more

Food is 5 stars. But very disappointing that no rest room has a baby changing station. Not acceptable. Please invest a small amount upfront so your smallest patrons can be accommodated. If that is added, I would rate 5 stars. Edit: thanks so much for addressing this! 5 stars! read more

I really like restaurants like this one that specialize in a few items and do it well. The Fritas are burgers, and they are delicious. The beef Frita was cooked just right and very juicy. The chorizo one was good too but a little too salty and dry for my taste. The burgers come with fries that are perfectly crispy. The Batidos are milkshakes made with vanilla ice cream and fresh fruit, and they are very refreshing. Not really a Cuban restaurant, but either way it's still delicious. This is a great place to stop by for a quick, delicious bite. read more

This place Never fails to amaze me! Food is incredible and staff is always friendly !!

Frita Batidos is an easy and cute spot to grab dinner. I love coming here for their happy hour deals (4pm-6pm, Sunday - Thursday). They also dim the lights in the evening, which transforms the spot into a more cozy setting around sunset. Fritas is one of the few places where I'll choose a bean patty over a beef one when it comes to their fritas (burgers). For some reason, my non-vegetarian friends and I prefer their black bean patties over their meat options when it comes to the available proteins. We always choose to "make it loco" and load on muenster, a sunny side-up egg, cilantro-lime salsa, tropical slaw, and avocado spread. It's an additional $4.50, but it's always worth it. The only downside to it is that it gets a bit messy when eating such a loaded burger with so many spreads and condiments sliding around. Be equipped with napkins before eating! I also love their batidos (tropical milkshakes) and highly recommend giving them a try! My personal favorite is the chocolate español, but they have lots of fruity flavors if you're looking for something a bit more refreshing. I'm not as big of a fan of their churros, however. A single churro is large enough to split with someone else, but it's a bit bland and the chocolate dip that comes with it isn't the best I've had when it comes to churros. I'd get the batidos instead if you want something sweet with your meal. They also have their fair share of alcoholic drinks and cocktails. Seating can get a bit stressful when it's busy since it's all communal-and-bench-style tables, but people are usually happy to squish and you can squeeze into an opening. :) read more

Cuban with a twist that I'm definitely feeling! I can see why this place is a local favorite! Service was great and I even scored some complimentary plantain chips since it was my first time there. At least I think that's why‍. Whatever the reason I was very grateful for them! They're soooo yummy! Even my hubs who is the carb police was feeling those chips! Stop by if you're in the area, you won't regret it! FYI they have alcohol as well! Yup sure do! You'll thank me later read more

Service is always great, food so delicious! I recommend the black bean burgers and the best snack ever

Awesome spot, but gets very crowded at peak dinner time, so I recommend going for lunch. Love their black bean frita and garlic cilantro fries--best when you dine in; they get a little soggy if you do takeout. read more

A favorite of mine in Ann Arbor for munchies, like their garlic cilantro fries and their giant churros. But when hungry, I will jump right into a burger. Their chorizo burger was full of flavor and topped with an egg, the yolk just oozed out. All the burgers come with fries, and at first, I thought they were on the side, but they are actually in the burger. So fries + egg on the chorizo burger = DELICIOUS. This place can get very crowded, so it makes it hard to find seating. When you come in, you find a seat yourself so it could get difficult to find seating with a group of friends when it's busy and it isn't a large place. There is only one line to order food, but if you do find someone behind the counter, they can usually take your drink order and bring the bill to your table (to keep the line moving faster). Their milkshakes are so refreshing whether it is with alcohol or without. So for a quick bite to eat, or a fun time just sitting with friends for something unique, this place definitely gives the vibe of "streetfood." read more

Located in the heart of ann arbor downtown, it is one of the gems. Really different and good burgers. We tried the veggie frita with black beans with additional jalepenos and was really good. The garlic fries on the side are great as well. Consider the fries portions before ordering. It is slightly expensive for a regular burger place. They are always busy and seating with a large grp group may take time. read more

This is a must visit if you are in Ann Arbor! Great creative and interesting burgers that taste amazing. I've had the beef frita, chorizo frita, and the chicken verde frita bowl. They are all outstanding! The batidos are also awesome and the flavors are so tasty! For sides, the plantains are also great and their guac has a lot of flavor. The churro's are also solid, but be careful not to order too many, they are huge. From what I've had from here, you can't go wrong! read more

This is a great place to eat in downtown Ann Arbor! The seating is a little different but it's awesome in the summertime. I think it would be a great spot for a date minus the fact that it gets messy eating their delicious hamburgers lol read more

This place is great! A few ppl told me I had to come here before heading back home to Dallas. I ordered the chorizo Frita with cilantro salsa and fried egg..and fries and a mojito. The greed was real! But, I couldn't eat the whole thing- portions are definitely generous! I went in on a Friday evening and it was buzzin'. The line was super long, but moved fairly quickly. Service was great as well. After you order, grab a seat at a communal table or solo seats facing the wall. Like I said, food was great, but my mojito was just 'OK'. I'm a little biased being originally from Miami. A must visit to this Cuban-inspired causal eatery when in A2. read more

Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had - the richness of the meat and fatty deliciousness is a flavor bomb on the first bite. Yes, the burger is a bit heavy and may make you feel a little gross after, but it's worth every bite! It can be pretty loud and hard to find a seat inside due to the popularity of the place. Definitely don't skimp out and go for loco style with avocado, egg, salsa, and a tropical slaw that adds a great sweet and sour layer of flavor! read more
