There was a waitress stealing money. Not a busy restaurant. The bathrooms stay filthy. Toilet paper in the floor carpet smells moldy and trash was over full. Probably will never eat there again! read more

Very clean restaurant, with excellent service and delicious food! Great location in Somerset and very close to Lake Cumberland! Our favorite is their burgers and crispy onion rings! Just gotta have my Big Boy! It's a burger with two beef patties, cheese, pickles, shredded lettuce and a three layer bun! Frisch's tartar sauce is magnificent! We love to add extra tartar sauce to all of their burgers! We also love to dip their tasty fries and onion rings in lots of tartar sauce! The kids love that they give you lollipops at the cash register when you are paying! For dessert their hot fudge cake is a must try if you love chocolate and ice cream! If you like spicy food try the Bad Boy that has a hot version of their tartar sauce! Frisch's also has excellent breakfast and coffee! read more

We were seated promptly! Our waitress was very nice and definitely worked great for her tips! Everything was clean! The food came out hot and tasted oh so good! For a smaller restaurant, this is a must, lower price and even had milkshakes, yummy! read more

I went to Frisch's for dinner and thought it would be busy. I was there at 6 pm and there was only one other person there.... I was concerned by the lack of customers. I ordered the fried shrimp and fries. While I was waiting for my order I looked around more and noticed that the restaurant was filthy dirty with heavily stained carpet and the table top was sticky so I had to ask the server to wipe the table down. When the food came, the shrimp seemed like it was fake shrimp. The shrimp was composed of ground up shrimp formed into the shape of shrimp.... It was awful and the fries were like cardboard. I thought I was going to enjoy my dinner while here in town . I was wrong . I came here (I usually go to Frischs for lunch at various locations) and I get seated right away but Katie my waitress kind of blew me off - she gave me a water and then didn't come back .... I had to actually get Glenda to do my order and wait on me Instead (my original waitress didn't even come back ) Glenda was more attentive and the only reason why I left a tip ( with the wait time I would have left no tip since it wasn't busy and it took longer than needed ) I also when I went to pay got surprised I couldn't use my AMEX which is 99% universal except this location . The onion rights were also not the typical rings - they had tooo much onion (they were fat and didn't taste right ) and I didn't want to bring it up cause I wanted to get out of the restaurant . My advice ? You can do better . I will be a frishes customer but not in this location again . read more

Literally one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. Not a soul in the entire restaurant other than us. That was the first warning, our food arrived with bugs crawling on the plates. Restrooms were repulsive, absolutely disgusting. 0/10 wouldn't recommend, if that was the last restaurant known to man, you will be better off eating the roadkill you hit on your way home. Im only giving them 3 stars because I am appalled by the behavior of the manager. The food was great, we ordered ahead and picked it up through the drive through. They were busy, which is no big deal, we didn't have to wait long at all. When we got to the window to pay the lady working was pleasant and we asked to add a drink. The man who was dressed as a manager came up to the window and was extremely rude and inappropriate to the lady working the window. For no reason. And to do that in front of guests. Shame on you. I really like their fish sandwich and soup. The salad bar is okay. Good pies for dessert. The service is fast and friendly. They do not provide a military discount but the food isn't that expensive to begin with. Stop on by if you can. read more

I'm gonna start this by saying I will never patronize this location again. Party of 4 adults and 2 children. Adult #1: Ordered a seafood market platter. Was brought out and told it only came with 1 side. Pretty sure it came with 2 sides but whatever. Looked very underwhelming. After the check came it showed we were rang up for 2 sides. The fish was not hand breaded haddock, it was the little fish sticks they serve with the fish and chips and it was not butterfly shrimp. After complaining that he didn't get what he ordered we were informed they no longer had the haddock and only had the fillets. Then the manager informed me the menu was over 4 years old and they didn't have a lot of it anymore. We should have been made aware when ordering that this was no longer available and not just slapped together. (I actually called another location and this option isn't even on the menu there, nor was it listed online). They refused to make this right and we paid full price for a dish they no longer even serve! Adult #2: Food was just rather nasty. I wasn't going to eat it and they happily took it off. (Spanish Omelet for those who are wondering. I was also told it didn't come with salsa when I asked for it, but later checked the menu and it did). Adult #3: Ordered a breakfast bowl and added on a salad bar. This option is listed under the breakfast bowl for $4.99. It was rang up separately at $7 something. When inquired and shown the menu they just said they can't do that and there was nothing they could do about it. Had this been brought to our attention up front, it wouldn't have been ordered. Again, they refused to make this right as well. Overall, this is a very poorly operated business. I just can't fathom how the owners think it's okay to have an outdated menu and serve customers hacked up versions of food they no longer offer. Like, what? Completely unacceptable. read more

Had the best Big Boy ever! We went through the drive-thru and the service was prompt and friendly. The food was so good we ate from here twice in one week. If you haven't tried Frisch's in a while I highly recommend you give them another try! read more

5/18/22. Let me tell you, used to be an excellent place, now a dump really... Worst meal out EVER! Adult spaghetti is 6oz? That's enuff for a toddler, not a grown man! Had to ask for parm cheese x2, we could hear the cook, kitchen making comments while preparing food, we should have got up and left! A cook should do that, not provide commentary about everyone's orders, esp mine since I got a pecan cranberry chix lettuce plate, not a bowl on a falt plate! Only thing plentiful was lettuce cores chopped into the salad! Wouldn't do that at home, why there? 3 cherry tomatoes on the whole salad, a small pile of miniature pecan halves, dried, very dried old cranberries....it was abt 11 when we went in, ordered lemon water but they had NO lemons...I asked what'd they put in ice tea, gal shrugged! The exit was open but we'd been to a long dr appt w not nice news. Being on dialysis I cannot have added salt, I asked our server to please convey to the cook. My chix came on a seperate saucer ladened with butter, cook says she can't make grilled chix w/o buttering the grill, butter had plenty salt, I mopped it off w napkins...quite a bit, cook didn't give a crap but she said...shi*! My vinegrette dressing had bits of pieces of food floating in it, prob plucked off the salad bar, chill, refrig, over n over, it was GROSS! Asked for Italian...finally my hubs went to salad bar and filled a small bowl with Italian for me, our server totally forgot...our meal was a disaster, was paying our bill, decided I'd go to ladies rm, NO tpaper in either stall...we asked the cashier for some since she was closest employee...she screams across the restaurant, there's a woman needing t paper in ladies room...everyone looked! After 7 min, no one brought paper...hubs asked her again and she blasted out again while trotting to the...kitchen?? I told hubs to get some out of the mens room, he came w a partial roll...when she popped back, hubs said, now the mens rm is out too! She screamed across the restaurant....when I was exiting the bathroom, someone was walking in with a partial roll!!! Where does an employee get a used roll, wouldn't a closet have supplies? What kinda of ZOO is this? Glad I was leaving...used to be a top notch place to get sit down food, a variety & now they (esp cook) wants people to get breakfast bar at noon or salad from the bar/buffet. At 11:00 we were ready for lunch...bacon was burnt, biscuits burnt, most food overly cooked, food in the floor, all over top of buffets too, does no one clean up or what's their job descriptions...evidently it's not service! The cook made me want to throw my gawd awful salad at her, she was pitiful...her attitude is NOT one conducive to restaurant biz! We tipped our waiter, not our usual overtipping but enough for what she did, 15%. She tried...can't control supply problems, attitude is 100% changeable but I'll bet that cook is a problem child...we def didn't appreciate HER comments about our food. We sat next to the kitchen, only a pane of glass separated the tables...change something, preferably the cook! That's our LAST Somerset, KY Frisches visit EVER! I have some very sweet friends who ate here recently. They left crying and upset after finding hair in the food. Politely they ask for a refund. They were told no and bullied by some guy in management. Pathetic! Stay away from this place! read more

There breakfast bar is rough. Greasy nasty food. Used to be pretty good, but went downhill the last time I was there.

When I was little I used to love going to Frisch's, but the one in Somerset has completely ruined my view of Frisch's. The bar is never full whether you are there for soup, breakfast, or salad. The salad is usually brown and the soup is 80% water. The servers really don't care at all and I assume they have very poor management because this location has been horrible every time I've gone. read more

We have gone there for years but recently we were there and had a #5 breakfast and was very displeased with their pancakes. The were smaller and flatter. We commented to our waitress and she described it as the batter that they had. We haven't returned. I don't like what I was given if that was their best. I go to the coral, and get what I want.
