Had clearly never been warmed up as there were gaps between the side of the cup and the clumps of cheese sauce. If it had been heated and poured into the cup and then cooled, those gaps wouldn't have existed. Breaded chicken sandwich tasted of fish oil. Also, the chicken on the GRILLED chicken sandwich tasted of fish oil. CHICKEN SHOULDN'T TASTE LIKE FISH! How nasty. The sodas and the fries were fine. Hit the Independence location at 10:00 pm service was great thru the drive thru and the food was hot and fresh.

It's a 50/50 shot at this location. If your order is right / fresh / edible. I did try a new menu item today just to see if they stumbled on something. I ordered along with the rest of my wrong order a hot dog with chili and cheese. Maybe they didn't think this to go item through. Order the did and chips and got the fish that comes on the fish sandwich. When I point out it was the wrong fish the waitress explain the manager had decided to you that fish instead of the filets. I just can't with this location anymore and despite having some kind people working there, as a whole it just never comes together for me. Tonight, a simple drive through order which was a simple Brawny Lad, Super Big Boy and some Mozzarella sticks. For whatever reason, have to pull up because it is supposedly taken longer. Okay, do so and whatever minutes later bag is presented to me. Get home open bag, no SuperBig Boy boy but a Buddy whatever that is. Go back, let them know, manager re-orders a new order, cool. This location has always had problems. Went for salad bar a couple of nights ago and it was disgusting. Looked like most of the food had been there all day. Not once did I see an employee give it any attention. Ordered burger instead, all it had on it was very old lettuce and a pickle, suppose to be a cheese burger, onion rings were good. Use to be my favorite sit down restaurant. I was there at least 4 or 5 times a week. I would go to lunch with a group of friends from work or take my family there on the weekend and even pop in by myself. That has all changed with their new way of doing things. Frisch's is no longer a family restaurant. You can't sit down, order your drinks, leisurely look at the menu and decide what sounds good, enjoying quality time with your family and friends while waiting for your food. Now you walk in, wait in line, very quickly order your whole families food at the register where you are then handed a number and you get seated, they bring your food, you eat and leave. Fast food service for full restaurant prices. I think I will just to McDonalds from now on, it will be just as not satisftying as the new Frisch's. Don't waste your money. read more

Granted it was early in the morning (right at opening) after a snowfall (no accumulation), but I was really disappointed with this place. Some of the food on the bar was cold or lukewarm at best. I think they must put them in the steam table to finish warming them. The service wasn't anything that's worth mentioning. There was no refill on the small coffee pot (3-4 cups) that was brought out. The biscuits were hard on the bottom (think dog biscuit) and not browned on top, and the gravy was runny. The only positive thing I can say is that the pineapple was ripe. So I ordered the meatloaf sandwich and all I can say is do not order that or the meatloaf dinner. It was burnt when it made it home for me to eat. I had to call and complain that it was not edible so the manager said they would make a new one for me. I got the new one and it was still burnt but only around the edges so I could at least eat the middle of it where before I couldn't eat any of it. This place is ridiculous and very bad at what they do first off ur in the drive thru for at least 40 mins no matter what ur order i have to turn my car off to save gas once i had a car over heat waiting they charge for extra cheese and u get less than a ounce and today they didn't have what I wanted they didn't have lettuce tomato or ham and they said they only had enough patties to do single burgers but not doubles with!! Service is good and it's nearby and an alternative to McDonald's and Wendy's but I'd you're looking to stretch a $1, not advisable. This is probably the worst Frisch's ever! I was quite excited when the area build this Frisch's instead of always having to go to Ft. Wright. I have given this establishment three different occasions months apart and the service nor the food has improved. The food is never hot, lukewarm at best. I ordered here under the guise of "Nathan's restaurant" I've looked up Frisch big boy on here and determined not to buy, but on the DoorDash app this restaurant was listed as Nathan's. Very pricey! $75-ish for bunk. I was expecting great quality but instead you could get better food at sonic for a quarter of the price. My wife's angus beef sandwich had a bonus noodle in it, my kids say they even managed to mess up plain hotdogs, however seemingly impossible. A chili cheese hotdog came with the chili and cheese on the side, spilled in a separate container, and not enough chili or cheese for even half a hotdog. I know it may sound mean but I thought that COVID had wiped out all the bad restaurants but I was sadly mistaken. Not a fan of this location, at all. Been here twice and each time it sucks. First time they got my order wrong (went through drivetru) by the time I got home I didn't both going back, I ate it.
