#FishSandwich #OnionRings

As a kid, the Frisch's mansion was 3 houses away on Cherokee Dr in Madeira. I've been enjoying a Big Boy and onion rings for 50 years. Still tastes good. Service was questionable. Luckily I caught the error the server had heard... not paying attention to what I ordered. Had to ask for a napkin... trying to save money? Never had their new Hot Bar on Fridays or Brupper (breakfast for supper) on Wednesdays. I often enjoy the fish sandwich and always get an extra side of "world renowned" tarter sauce.

As a native of Northern Kentucky, I stop by this Frisch's location 3-4 times a year when I'm in Indy on business travel. It's a great chance to have dinner with my family who still reside in the area, and enjoy a taste of one of the Cincinnati favorites I grew up on. They've obviously added to and updated their menu over the years, but it's nice to see they still retained the classics....the Big Boy burger, the Swiss Miss, the Buddie Boy and the Brawny Lad. On my visit this evening, I tried an updated version of the classic Big Boy....they added pepper jack cheese and a spicy version of their tartar sauce and dubbed it the Bad Boy. Although I'm kind of an old school Frisch's purist (yes, I wept when they switched to Pepsi products and rejoiced when they brought back Coke!), I enjoyed the twist. My Super Bad Boy platter with fries (with their classic tartar sauce for dipping) and slaw was just what I needed! I read the previous Yelp reviews regarding poor service and can only say I've never had bad service at this location in my numerous visits here over the last few years, and tonight was no exception. I wish I could remember the name of our server, but she was prompt, friendly, and helpful.

Having labor issues, have cut menu considerably. Not pleasant experience last few times we have dined there. Don't recommend this place.

Kelli told us what was happening, gave us free pie and took our drinks off our bill and asked if we wanted it to go. Our dinner was finally ready after 35 minutes, so we boxed it up and went home. Kelli apologized multiple times, and that's how service is supposed to happen. The pie was fantastic, apple and coconut cream. Fish was very good, shrimp was good, mashed potatoes and corn ok. Tartar sauce, yummy. Thanks to Kelli for making our long wait

We decided to check it out for breakfast. It was delicious, and we've eaten there a few times since and always have a great experience. We both have been wanting to try some of their lunch specials, but we work and can't get there to check it out. We were off today and decided to go there for lunch because they were having chicken and noodles, and that's one of my favorite meals. It did not disappoint at all. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our meals and even ordered seconds to go, so we could have it for dinner. The chicken and noodles came with mashed potatoes, corn or green beans, and a roll. You could definitely tell the food was homemade too. Delicious! The Farmhouse Diner isn't a very big restaurant and can get pretty busy. It reminds me of a little country diner where all the local farmers and their wives go to eat breakfast and lunch. The staff is always super friendly and attentive too. We will definitely be going back.

This place was busy and most likely because it's one of the only restaurants around. It is very much off the beaten path from the expressway. I took one of the few tables that were open, and my server came right over and took my drink order and gave me a menu. The menu was a little bit of a disappointment, I was expecting some good old diner favorites and really it was heavy on breakfast items and lunch was mainly hamburgers and sandwiches. I ordered the BLT sandwich along with a cup of potato soup. The BLT was served with French fries. After a short wait, approx. 5 mins, she brought me my lunch. She served the soup with the meal, and I really would rather have my soup first so neither one gets cold. The soup lacked flavor, not completely, but it was rather bland. The BLT was fantastic, it was very flavorful, the bacon was crispy, and the tomatoes and lettuce were very fresh. The only thing I wished they would have offered was a BLT club sandwich as the sandwich left me a little hungry. Now the French fries here are on another level. They were cooked PERFECTLY, they were on the fat side, but very crispy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside. They were WONDERFUL... I would come here just for the fry's... My only complaint came at the end of the meal when it came to paying my bill. It dawned on me when I brought my check to the register, that they might not take credit cards and I was correct they didn't. I had to leave my driver's license with my server while I ran several blocks down the road to go to a convenience store to use the ATM. THAT WAS A PAIN. I personally don't understand an establishment not taking credit cards today, this is 2023. Everyone has a smartphone and can use PayPal or square. I am more than willing to pay an additional 3% for credit card processing fees, just post that is your policy for accepting credit cards. At least that way, it is our choice, right now you are not giving us a choice at all. I will only go back if they start accepting credit cards.
