Came to get some drinks after driving from Cali & saw this place on Yelp so decided to try it. They have a drive thru as well as a place you can walk up. We walked up because I wanted to see if I was able to sample some since it was our first time. The guy working the shop was friendly & let me try a sample of the frog water (after asking who was driving between my hubs & I, of course). I was asking about the strength of the drinks & he gave recommendations on which went well together. I ended up getting a big hurricane mixed with frog water & my hubs got the one above a big with hurricane mixed with Long Island. We both were surprised at how much you got for what you paid & they gave us both a nice buzz - my hubs even ended up throwing some of his away because he didn't wanna be too lit. I have been to Frio To Go three times and the service was great each time. They offer a nice selection of frozen alcoholic beverages. Drinks are reasonable between $5-$40. I have tried: Balls Deep (which is a mix of all flavors) The Long Island (which is the strongest flavor) I like the Balls Deep the name is funny lol and it tastes good to. I have always gotten the Little Frio it's $5 and gets the job done. Located on the north side of Houston right off TC Jester. There is an inside area and you can sample drinks before you buy them. There's also a drive threw if you are on the go! Theres also a punch card which offer percentages off for certain drink purchases. This can come in handy is you are a frequent customer. If you are looking for a to go daiquiri spot I recommend coming here they are nice and make drinks quickly. read more

I actually stopped drinking, yes I know I know. My wife however is a fan of sweet drinks...coolers...etc so I stopped in here last week and got a couple for her to try. I had a sip of each and that is all but must tell you this place is great. The Long Island ice tea seemed to taste the strongest but hey its a Long Island ice tea and tasted great. The strawberry was sweet and had a kick to it as well. My wife absolutely loved it and it is an easy 123 drive through with very friendly staff that enjoy their job and people. There isn't much to say about a Daiquiri Shop, so I typically like to break them down by these (6) items 1. Cost/Size - Frio has a GREAT price for its sizes. One of the best price per ounce I've seen. They also have nearly all of the sizes available. This was a great plus. 2. Inside - Doors were closed, and there was a sign saying "Drive-Thru Only". I see pictures of people in the inside, so I will not complain, maybe they had something going on in the inside and it was best for me to go to the Drive Thru. 3. Quality - The Daiquiri was very smooth. Well blended, and the flavor was consistent throughout the entire drink. Very flavorful. It could even use a small straw being that it was so fine and smooth. 4. Strength - These Daiquiri were not very strong, but there weren't weak. It was enough to make you feel Frio To Go is focusing on the flavor. I must mention, it was priced at one of the cheapest per ounce prices I've seen. So why not add that extra shot if strength is your preference. 5. Cup - Frio has the sealed cups. ALSO they are plastic, so you are able to take a picture of the flavorful swirls. ALSO they provide a paper cup that acts as a selves to protector your hands for the coldness of the plastic cup as well as retain some of that coldness for the drink. 6. Reward - I was NOT offered a rewards card or loyalty program. Either Frio does not have one, or it was not offered to me. Both are preeeety bad. It's 2019, EVERYONE has some program that provides incentives to loyal customers. Frio To Go was great, and if I am ever around the area, I will AIM for this place. However, 5 Stars are for perfect, and will not loyalty program. You can NOT be perfect. read more

So glad I found this gem! I heard about them thru some oak forest friends and I wanted to bring some margaritas to a party I was going to. I called ahead to make sure they were open and then drove on in. It's drive thru but also can get down and order. They allowed me to try a bunch of different ones but I ended up picking frog juice which is a mix of margarita and blue hurricane I believe but not 100% sure. They have different sizes too -- small, medium, large, x large for personal sizes BUT they also sell half gallons and gallon size jugs if you need them!! I was so pumped that they did this. I ended up taking 2 half gallons to the party of frog juice and watermelon margarita and it was definitely a hit! They also just do shaved ice during day for younger ones. You can get a 20 oz. frozen margarita for $4 without leaving your vehicle. And it's legal because it's sealed. That statement alone warrants a solid 3 star rating. But Frio To Go offers so much more. They have a LARGE menu of drink options as well as snocones for the kids. You can also get jello shots and buy frozen drinks by the GALLON to take to parties. The margaritas are all made with tequila, the daiquiris and coladas are made with rum, and the cocktails are made with vodka. My husband and I shared 3 small drinks to try one from each alcohol category. My favorite was the plain jane strawberry daiquiri, followed by the Mango Sour (green apple, mango, vodka) and finally the Mexican Seabreeze (hibiscus pineapple margarita). Since these drinks all start as a frozen base, you can really customize your own combination with all the syrups and additions they have available, though their menu offers some pretty unique and tasty combos. The girls were really nice and helpful despite our indecisiveness and questions about the drinks. The reason I'm not giving a 5th star is simply because the alcohol used tastes cheap and STRONG. Now, I understand that this is likely the reason I can get a margarita in a drive through for $4, so note my complaint, but don't let it deter you from enjoying this frozen and drunken wonderland. read more

I would be here more often if I lived nearby. The daiquiri's are delicious. There are so many to choose from that it's hard to decide. There are a couple stools inside the store to sit down, but it feels like they don't want you to stay. When they say "to-go" they really mean it. We went the easy route and got a half gallon of margarita. BIG mistake. We should have just bought a small cup!!! If you're expecting to get a drink that taste like a margarita, don't get it here. It does NOT taste anything like a margarita. Taste like different daiquiris mixed together with an odd after taste. NOT good. I was very disappointed and probably won't be returning here. They have two locations, I was hoping there would be more. You get three free tastings and you're able to add flavors to your base, the first one being free (menu on website). Service is just as friendly as the one in Katy and it's usually pretty empty the times I've gone to both locations so it's easier and faster to experiment w/the flavors. So far, the Frog Juice + Raspberry, White Russian+Chocolate+Strawberry, Margarita+Watermelon/Chamoy/Mango are our GO TO flavors. This place is perfect for those evenings where work has you drained, and you don't want to go anywhere but stay home and chill! The first time I came I got a mix of hurricane and Long Island. Never again. It was too strong, I bought the biggest size, and I felt it the next day. My fault, definitely. However, I came back and got the melon apple and Mexican hibiscus drinks, and they were delicious. I didn't gulp them down, so I saved both of them in my fridge. Three days later, I was able to put some ice in them and enjoy. They definitely didn't water down. Prices are cheap, and flavors are great! read more
