#3 Aguachile with cucumbers and chips!
Tahlor B.

Y'ALLLLLL! This sh*t here? BOMB AF! During this entire quarantine I have been DYING for a good michelada. This isn't good, its perfection! I got the #3 with Modelo. The shrimp are very spicy. And I mean make your nose run spicy (just like I like it) but packed with flavor! The michelada mix is so unbelievably good as well. I made a 20 minute drive just to get one and I wouldn't be surprised if I went back again later today or tomorrow.

Very friendly and good service but the quality of the products very bad. My beer was hot and without gas. and its price is $ 13.50 I will never go back. Muy amables y buen servicio pero la calidad de los productos muy malos. Mi cerveza estaba caliente y sin gas. y su precio es de $13.50 jamas pienso regresar.

Overal the different type of drinks are good . I order the preparada and for the price it has the right amount of stuff .. will for sure come back again .. the fruit kind of taste as if it was old but that can just be my taste . Will defiantly come back again

Very good Micheladas. I had the aguachiles and it's very spicy but good. So far one of the best I've tried.

Definitely a no-frills dive bar in a spot of Houston that is off the beaten path. I came here for a…read moregroup happy hour - had to drive through a few neighborhoods to get here and was surprised to find this place randomly situated on an industrial-like road. When I said no-frills, I meant it. The drink selection is quite slim and for someone who go out of their way for beer, there weren't really many other options. Our large party had a buffet of food - all of it was basic but tasty - panko-breaded chicken tenders, chips and queso, and quesadillas. Service was actually stellar throughout our time here. Bartenders and servers came around to our group frequently to ask if they could get us anything. I did not expect that from a divey bar like this. While I wasn't blown away by this place and probably don't have much reason to come back, I can see why folks would come out here for a drink or to watch a game, especially if living in the Spring Branch area.

It was a chill spot, and my friends and I enjoyed having a few beers and grabbing a bite to eat. Unfortunately, my experience after that completely changed my perspective. My friend and I had separate tabs, and at the end of the night, she paid for the 4 beers on my tab, so my balance should have been zeroed out. The next day, I noticed a $100 charge on my card. I called the bar, and Denise was able to identify that something went wrong, but said she didn't know how to fix it and advised me to call back the next day to speak with the owner. Since then, I've been calling daily with no resolution. At one point, someone even told me the owner "didn't have time" to address my issue. I've left my number multiple times and haven't received a single call back. It's really disappointing because we genuinely had a good time, but the lack of follow-up and customer service has been frustrating. I understand mistakes happen, but the way this has been handled is not okay. Just wanted to share my experience so others are aware.

The signature cocktails were definitely mixologist curated, well balanced in flavor and alcohol, the espresso martini made with rum as opposed to vodka was probably one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had and I think they should all be made that way now. I visited on Valentine's evening so we did make reservations but I do believe reservations are a standard regardless of the day. My only disappointment was that you have a two hour table time limit which is fine. The problem came in as it was very apparent that a lot of reservations including ours were booked over a private party so we were, albeit politely, rushed to close out before our allotted time limit to accommodate the party reservation. I'm glad we were able to enjoy a good amount of time here but I really feel bad for the people who arrived after us as I'm sure felt the same pressure to leave as well. With that said I would absolutely visit Aye Candy again.

Houston weekend. One extra night to burn. I went hunting for a slick little cocktail spot and…read moreBAM...I stumble into Aye Candy. First off... the concept is brilliant. The front looks like a nostalgic candy shop; so good I actually walked right past it the first time. Then that Christmas-kissed entrance opens up and you hit a hidden door. It's playful. It's exclusive. And yes, valet is only $10, so just do it. Inside? Modern-chic seduction. Velvet green barstools, moody lighting, the kind of space that pulls you in and keeps you close. Bring a date, bring your inner VIP, this is where you go to impress without even trying. Reservations recommended, but you might score walk-in magic like I did on a Saturday. Music? A smooth throwdown of EDM + Studio 54 vibes; you'll know exactly what I mean when you hear it. One of the owners welcomed me the second I walked in...set the tone right. I went straight for my signature: The Blackie (Black Manhattan). Pablo, the bartender, didn't miss a beat. Confident. Cool. You can just feel when someone knows their craft. Angel's Envy whiskey, flawless build, proper presentation this is how a night begins. Round two? The bold move: Tequila Martinez with El Tesoro Reposado. Pablo's eyes lit up...a twist on the OG classic and he was fully on board. Drinks? On point. Hospitality? World-class. Even the water refills were smooth. Tequila lineup is strong too...Ocho, El Tesoro, Don Fulano, Fortaleza; all the right hitters. And if you haven't tried a Tequila Martinez yet, lock that in for your next lounge run. This was just a nightcap... but trust me...Houston hasn't seen the last of me at Aye Candy. See you again soon!

The dining room is chic and feels very upscale but comfortable with a large open fire kitchen that was really fun to watch while dining. They were very on top of service with both our dining captain and waiter checking on us throughout the evening. For appetizers we ordered the deviled crabs, tuna tostada and wood roasted carrots. All were great but I especially loved the carrots which were cooked and seasoned perfectly. For my main course I had the chicken and dumplings, husband got the NY strip, our friends shared the whole fish and we had the cabbage and crab rice as sides. Everyone was very happy with both their main courses and the side dishes. We were too stuffed to order dessert but they sent out a s'mores inspired sunday for my birthday which was both thoughtful and sublime. Overall we were very impressed with our meal. Food was delicious but veeeery indulgent. We will be back.

We were greeted by three different people - one that took our drink order, one that cleared our plates, and one that took our order. All were very nice people and gave excellent service! I forgot their names unfortunately. My receipt said Zachary but not sure which waiter that was. Between me and hubs, we had a Pan de campo, an order of Gulf Oysters "casino", (4) dressed oysters, a 16 oz dry aged ribeye, a snapper entree and a side of crab fried rice. We finished almost everything except a quarter of the Pan, about a quarter of the rice, and about a third of the ribeye. All were great dishes and would definitely order again. We skipped dessert because honestly none stood out to us. He said their popular dessert is the souffle but they were sold out. Our total before gratuity was about $250 and that included one cocktail. Hubs had their "classic" old fashioned which he said was excellent! Overall, highly recommended if you don't mind the splurge or for a special occasion!
