What a huge waste of my time gathering designer clothes that were practically new for this upscale used clothing store. I called 2 days before to let them know I was coming to get them. They said they would have them collected for me for which they didn't. I had to sit and wait until they looked for them on the racks. So after 3 months of them being there there was only two sold and they wouldn't give me my money because they said I could've left them there longer however I was contracted to pick them up. I have occasionally found good buys here. Not too long ago they listed a Gucci bag and it was a reasonable price I thought of $300. The strap came loose in less than three days. I called in and spoke to a very nice sales lady she agreed that for the price at their consignment shop it shouldn't fall apart in 3 days. She very appropriately said she would have the manager call back to not credit my account but to provide a store credit to buy other items. I felt that it would be fine. Needless to say I never received a call back. I ended up calling explaining my situation to the manager and being told there was nothing to be done to accommodate me. I would say I'm hesitant to return and if I do I would not buy any luxury/designer handbags... Only I terms maybe under $30-40 dollars or whatever you are willing to gamble with. This is a consignment shop. I decided to stop in because the name was catchy. They have kids and women's clothing and shoes. The store was pretty cramped with stuff the selection was just ok. I didn't see anything that I was wowed by. Although I'm not lucky in finding those great finds at consignment and thrift shops. I don't know what their terms are as far as consignment I can say that they had a bit of a hodgepodge of brands so I wouldn't categorize this place as uber upscale consignment. read more

I'm sorry to read the previous negative reviews. I have been consigning with Frilly Frocks for some time, and have had good experiences. The owner, Ruby Chaswal, has always been pleasant and fair with me regarding the items that I consign. I find that my items sell pretty well if I take in items that are in very good condition, and from higher-end stores. One hint though, you will have better luck consigning/shopping if you take your items in early just before the season starts. I've got to work on that; I tend to procrastinate. read more

Took over a month to get my high end items out on the floor, sold one item early on, and two toward the end of the consignment period. When I asked that they pull the unsold items and issue a check for what they sold, I was told that the time had run out to get a check for the first item. I did go in and pick up my unsold items and they said they would mail me a check for the other two sold items. They told me that, as a courtesy, they would not charge me the $10 consignment fee. I have never received the check for sold items, and the owner does not return my calls. Worst consignment experience ever. read more

I love this store and can always find something. Some things are a little pricey, but that's because they are designer names. I mostly go for me, but will occasionally find great deals for my kids. Especially when they have their sales. read more

I love shopping here. I've shopped Frilly Frocks since it opened at this location and there have been times I've simply walked through the store and found nothing I liked at a price I was willing to pay. I rationalize that's its no different than looking through Macy's or Nordstrom. I've found some wonderfully priced deals here and will keep coming back - just never know what I'll find and that's part of the appeal of the store for me. I do understand the frustration consigners might have with the small earnings. But the thing to remember is that people who shop consignment don't come there to spend top dollar for slightly worn or used items even though the owners think their items are worth much. If I could rate them less than a one I would. Absolutely horrible. I have been selling to them for about a year now, and everything that I have brought in has sold so far; because I have name brand items that are hardly used. They are extremely unorganized and rude...very unacceptable. You bring in your clothes on hangers and you wait for sometimes up to a half-hour in the store for them to sort through. They then bring out the clothing that they aren't accepting and don't tell you why they aren't accepting it. So today, I very politely asked why, and the associate very rudely brushed me off and said that they were all stained. So I asked for her to show me the stains. She then proceeded to yank them from my hand and go through them in front of me. She could not find ONE thing wrong with my Lilly Pulitzer shirt. Obviously I was getting irritated..and she said "I'm not going to argue with you, you can take your clothes and leave if you want". What kind of customer service is that?? As a former employee at a high-end retail shop I would be fired on the spot if I spoke to a customer like that. Not only do they give you little to nothing for your items, they are rude and disrespectful. To this day, all of my items have sold there. Obviously I am making them a ton of money..and I expect to be treated with respect. I would never recommend going there to consign or shop their awful clothes. read more

If I could rate this shop, it would be less than zero! A colleague (who shops there) referred me, so I was thrilled to consign. I had a HORRIBLE experience as a consigner! Frilly's is disorganized, unfriendly and dishonest, and do not seem to have a flowing clientele. First, you pay a fee to consign (that might be ok, but...) then you have to leave your clothes for the staff to sort and "accept and price" (they never tell you the price, even if you call). If they do not accept your items, they are supposed to call you to pick up your items, which they may or may not do. I have been diligent about calling to find out which pieces are accepted and which are not, to make sure I can pick up what is not accepted, and perhaps consign elsewhere or donate to the charity of my choice. Twice I have gone to pick up the unaccepted pieces, and they were not there. I was told they were "donated" even though I came within the agreed timeframe of pick up. They refuse to tell you what your items are selling or sold for until you receive your check. You have to provide your own envelope and stamp to receive your consignment check, so why am I paying a fee?! I was in the store one day and asked what an item sold for, and after huffing and puffing, they told me one price. When I received my check, the item was listed at a price of less than what I had been quoted in the store (mind you this was not the discounted price after 30 days...some random amount less). You will never truly know what your items sell for, because they do not tell you the originally price. I should have known better! If that is not enough, I had two items that did not sell during a consignment period, and I called to say I would pick them up. When I got there, I was told they had sold, however, it was after the agreed consignment period, therefore their property. I was livid, so they agreed to pay me. I never saw the money. They take several days if not weeks to display your items in the shop, yet they keep to the consignment period. This means your clothes get discounted sooner than they would, if put on the floor the same week you dropped them off. I have consigned with two other local shops who look at your items when you are there, price them while you are there, are incredibly organized and gracious, give you information anytime you stop by or call (a privilege I do not abuse), send you a check in a timely manner and have a great clientele! That is great partnership. Needless to say, I will not consign with Frilly's ever again! Nor, as a buyer, since this is how they treat their suppliers! read more

I will never set foot in this store again. The first time I went in there a few months ago I wanted to see a piece of jewelry in the case and the woman behind the counter seemed annoyed she had to walk from the cash register to a display cabinet. I ended up buying the piece. Fast Forward to last week. I was getting my hair done and was early for my appointment. I was leaving for a vacation the next day and decided to run in there to see if they had any cute tops. I walked in and there was no other customers in the store. I started looking around and grabbed a few items to try on. I had been there for a bout 10 minutes and there were 2 women behind the counter. I walked up to the counter to inquire about a fitting room and neither one of these women even looked up. Another woman came out of the back and started talking to them. Still no acknowledgment as I stood there. I finally asked if I could try my items on and it really felt like I was bothering them that someone had to walk the 2 feet to unlock a fitting room. When I was done and came out, still nothing said to me. Its common courtesy to ask a customer if everything is ok. Or maybe, maybe if they could help me find something. Instead they stood behind the counter. I was contemplating buying a top but decided not to spend my money there. As I walked out I said "thank you," and one person said good bye as the door was closing behind me. The clothes there are nothing special. I would not call them designer at all. They carry mostly gently used mall store stuff with maybe a few higher end pieces if you consider Coach or Juicy higher end, here and there but not many. Its not the kind of place you are going to get a great find. You are better off going across the street to Charming Charlies if you want inexpensive stuff and to be treated well. read more

I found a J.Crew navy blazer for $16 that's a steal. Now as I buyer, I feel that the store has an OK offering of items. In my opinion many items on the sale rack just need to be thrown out because they look overly used. If they are going to market themselves as a store that ONLY accepts specific brands...then they should only accept the ones in quality condition. I also noticed that they many items a few weeks ago in the pant section were petite. I think petite items should be on a rack of their own. Nothing is more annoying than sifting through a rack only to keep coming across all items in petite. Otherwise its a good check out place to look and hope to spot of gem otherwise head to the outlets and find your clothes...but just in case you didn't know...they don't take outlet items. read more

I've found some great work clothes here. The prices are a bit high, but I can't even imagine the rent in this little shopping area, so I'm okay with it. Her sales are excellent --a Faconnable shirt for $9--swoon! Super friendly staff! My only complaint? I do wish they had a higher turnover of merchandise. read more

Good day, I am a one time consigner at Frilly Flock. I consigned a beautiful red fau fur that sold within 10 days. They advised me that my share was $19. I was insulted by such information. No one consulted with me on the price of the item. When i called to inquire the staff including the owner was not very open to listening to my concerns. She finally decide to give me the sale price and told me that she would close my account. Doing business in ths way their doors will not be open very long. read more

As a buyer: I've been inside Frilly Frocks a few times, and I've been satisfied. Maybe I just happen to have good luck, because the employees have always been civil to me: not super-friendly, but certainly not rude. I'm always able to find at least a handful of pieces II'm willing to buy at moderate prices. My only complaint is that some of the clothing is overpriced on more worn pieces or cheaper teen brands (like American Eagle). read more

Be very very careful. they cheat and scam. I took about 40 pc of very high end items, I was late to get my check for a week due to illness and the check went back to "store" account . So I lost all my clothes and the money . Isn't that stealing ?? I am in the process of suing this business . Yes I did call and went in person twice and spoke to owner , she was not help and said she will "talk to her husband " and get back to me , past 6 months and no call or email was returned . I will never consign anything here again. I don't think I was ever paid for all the items that I brought in. Frilly Frocks always wants "high end" items, but they never sell or are keep locked away in a case so that potential customers can't view the items. Very disappointed! read more

Be very careful before you consign here. I wonder if the owners take the best stuff for themselves and lower the price, or if they are just taking advantage of the consigner by gouging the price paid for high end items. Sales people are picky and snooty. I brought in at least 25 items and got a check back for $17. You'll get a better return if you itemize and donate your clothes to a worthy thrift shop, or sell on ebay. Do not recommend and wish there was another place in Leesburg that was more classy and ethical. read more

I am a one-time and last time consigner at this store. Although they have decent deals as a buyer, not so much as a seller. Here is my experience.............I brought in a lot of items to consign. You have to take everything in on a hanger which took some time and scrambling for hangers that I did not mind losing. The experience dropping off was not exactly what I expected. They were not we friendly at all, basically curt. When I came back later to pick up what they did not want at all or not until later, they could not find my things. When I went to the back to help an associate find it, another lady looked at me like I was breaking and entering the place. She asked what I was doing in the back and I told her that I was trying to find my lost items. We did find them eventually. Then, after not hearing from them for over a month, i called. What I found is that the clothes that I dropped off, most of them with tags still on them (one dress stil had the tag and it was over $200) only amounted to a check under $50!!! What???? And if you want your clothes back (the ones that did not sell), you have a short window to pick them up and they charge you per item to pull them. What???? So....shame on me. The red tape that creates a multiple page contract with them does indeed spell this out. I honestly did not think it would be as difficult doing business with them as the contract sounded...but it is worse! So even if I move past the fact that I maybe made 1% of what i brought in, the service there as a consigner is very different than a buyer. As a buyer they are mediocre at best. As a consigner it is not customer friendly at all....and regardless if I am buying or selling, I am still a customer. I also do not like the fact that they do not contact you about ANYTHING . You have to contact them for updates, time lines, what you grossed (I can't resist...what I made was indeed gross!), etc. So, moving forward I will donate my clothes myself or simply give them to friends. I like my customer service better as well as my friends!!! read more

I had read the poor reviews of Frilly Frocks and thought about not bringing my designer jewelry & handbags in for consignment. But I didn't think it would happen to me-but I was wrong. I had a horrible experience just like all of the others. When my month consignment period was over, I went to pick up my items and noticed 2 bags were missing. I was told one sold after my check was cut & would get it later when checks were written again. The clerk looked up the status of the other bag & said it had been donated because of a stain. I questioned her about it because they had accepted it for consignment 4 weeks ago and didn't say anything about a stain.I had not received a call to pick it up however I had received a call to either put a battery in a watch that they had already accepted for sale or pick that up. A choice on that item!! I choose to pick the watch up and chatted for a bit about my items that had sold-still no mention of a stained bag. I called the manager about my bag & she said she honestly had no idea why it had been donated-even mentioning that they had "no rookies" working there. I said that I was sure that they would make it right on this error on their part. I was asked to call back on Monday. I did and was told to call back on Tuesday. I called on Tuesday and asked for at least $25 on this bag. I was asked to wait until she could call the owner. I had a voicemail in a few days that said I would receive store credit on both of my designer handbags. I called back & said that I would prefer a check-she said she would ask the owner. Well a day later I had a very terse voicemail that I would "only be getting store credit." When I went in to get that credit it was only $36! For 2 beautiful designer bags. That and the $10 consignment fee & very small percentage of the sale price and the 50 cent per item pull fee equals a really big rip off. I cannot recommend that folks ether shop or consign there. And there is a very strong odor in the shop-like you would have in a thrift store. read more

Don't do it..... This is a warning..... They are a total rip off scam. I took over 30 pieces of very nice Ann Taylor suits and separates....... At the end if I took my clothes back I would have owed them money. Take your clothes to the Good Will or the Salvation Army and you will earn more by writing them off as a donation on your taxes. I have been a consignor with Frilly Frocks off and on over the past year or so. Until now, I have had a generally positive experience. Today was a different story. I was told some of my pieces were rejected because they were "too wrinkled" (I actually removed a dry cleaning tag from a pair of dress slacks before I brought them in. The creases were still visible!) And that I should have brought them on hangers. (I was told not to put clothes on hangers since they just remove them and use their own. My husband was standing with me when this was said and can verify it.) Even worse the woman was rude and arrogant. (News flash, you work at a consignment shop, you're not curing cancer) To top it off, she literally threw the "unacceptable" items back into my shopping bag without even an attempt to fold them. I took a picture of it for posterity. Bottom line, it is not worth my time to deal with this type of attitude and will take my business elsewhere. Consignors be warned! read more
