And a variety of flavors, including sugar free options (made with Splenda). I got a sugar free pina colada, but there wasn't much flavor. That could be because the syrup is clear and she may not have realized there wasn't much on it?? Also, if you are from South Louisiana and are used to our snowballs - the "cream" option here is NOT what you are used to. Definitely NOT condensed milk. More like a barely sweet evaporated milk? Blah. My husband got it on his lemon-lime. The ice is real fine snow, which was excellent for our taste. There is a putt putt golf course attached and $5/person to play fee. The young girl that helped us was very nice and friendly, the older lady, not so much. Seems to stay pretty steady with business.

She told us the top seller for ice cream was Texas Praline and for Gelato was salted caramel. Her favorites respectively were coffee almond fudge and cookie butter. Free samples! My wife and I were big fans of the cookie butter and ended up getting that. Our friends liked the espresso, peanut butter chocolate, strawberry sorbet. About $5 after tax for a single scoop. Biggest bang for your buck would be a waffle cone. Cannot overstate the decorations and the obvious passion of the owner. Even the bathroom was very spirited. Would definitely recommend if you're in town!

Everyone was RIGHT. We had a wonderful experience at this Soda Shop and our taste buds just cannot forget the delicious shakes we had here. On one side of the restaurant is a small, old school diner-style seating area, and on the other is miscellaneous merchandise for sale. It was colorful, lively and the aroma of ice cream and waffle cones was overwhelmingly good. The staff behind the counter were so nice to us and shared their recommendations. I decided to order the "Raspberry Nutella Shake." It was exactly what it sounds like--ice cream, raspberry, and Nutella all in one. SO. DELICIOUS. I highly recommend it. It was creamy, sweet, and just perfect. It came topped with whipped cream and a cherry. We cannot wait to come back the next time we're in town and also can't wait to tell our friends and family who would go to Glen Rose to make sure they make a stop here! Thank you Shoo-Fly!!

They were so nice and pleasant. New owners not so much but we'd overlook it bc they were a bit closer and interactions were not so much rude just stoic and no smile. The younger girl was ok but it was the older woman. But today was the last straw. My husband returned home vowing never to go back there again. He said he used the drive thru this morning, absolutely no one behind him yet the woman with the very short hair was curt, rushed him, like she was annoyed and like she just wanted him gone. With so much competition a smile goes a long way. Whatever happened to the basics of customer service. Customers especially repeat customers is what helps a business thrive. In fact, even if you don't want to smile at least don't treat your paying customers like they're an irritant. Will try others with great reviews like Sunny's Donuts by Pam's, The Donut Hole on Pearl St, or Donuts Plus on 377.
