Unfortunately, I'll have to agree with the other review that they seem annoyed by their customers. The previous Asian owners were always so grateful for our business no matter how big or small the order they'd greet us with a great big warm smile. They were so nice and pleasant. New owners not so much but we'd overlook it bc they were a bit closer and interactions were not so much rude just stoic and no smile. The younger girl was ok but it was the older woman. But today was the last straw. My husband returned home vowing never to go back there again. He said he used the drive thru this morning, absolutely no one behind him yet the woman with the very short hair was curt, rushed him, like she was annoyed and like she just wanted him gone. With so much competition a smile goes a long way. Whatever happened to the basics of customer service. Customers especially repeat customers is what helps a business thrive. In fact, even if you don't want to smile at least don't treat your paying customers like they're an irritant. Came by to pick up a quick breakfast before heading to the Dinosaur Valley State Park. The staff was very welcoming as we entered, and the smell of delicous donuts welcomed us as well. They are a small donut shop, but they have a pretty impressive selection of donuts, kolaches, and other breakfast pastries. My husband got a kolache and a donut, and I had their spinach feta breakfast pastry. My husband really enjoyed both of his items and said the donut was especially good. I really enjoyed my pastry as well, the dough was buttery and flaky, and the filling was rich and delicious. Highly recommend if you're in Granbury to give this place a try! Listen, it's donuts and they are awesome. However, what really makes Donut Palace special is the people who run it. They are always sweet and cheerful. This was a regular stop when my son was still in school and they knew us and what he liked, and would often have our order ready when we got to the window because they saw our car in line. His favorite was sausage rolls and they even asked him one morning to try it first because they ordered from a new supplier and wanted to make sure he approved. He said they were good but not as good as the other brand and they said "Then we will go back to the old supplier!" Let me tell you that made his day that they valued his opinion. We can't wait to go back for more! We ordered a box of assorted donuts and they were some if the tastiest and moistest we've had. Our two year old son even learned a new word, 'delicious'; I quote "donuts dewisciousious" :) Also, the lady that helped us was so delightful & cherry!
