To begin with, Carmen herself is just as nice as can be! She is warm, welcoming, and provides great service. The food here is quite good. Excellent breakfast burritos. Great chips and salsa (ask for the hot salsa!) Always a nice lunch special. I have not been there for dinner. The ambiance is quaint and homey. Friendly atmosphere and full of locals. It was next to her job and so it wasn't far for us to enjoy some great food together. For lunch I just ordered myself the Philly cheeses steak. It was delicious and the fries were cooked just right. Then my sister and I came back for breakfast the next day for day two of my tattoo work. And it was another amazing fulfilling event for us both. The staff are very awesome, attentive, and work together to make sure they provide a great service to their customers. The ambiance is small town country feel. I enjoyed this restaurant a lot. I am looking forward to eating her again next time I am visiting with my sister.

I was genuinely impressed that a small town like Godley, Texas is home to a restaurant with this level of comfort, charm, and quality. The hometown feel greets you the moment you walk through the door, and the aroma of chicken fried steak, gravy, biscuits, and brisket makes it clear you are in for a hearty, satisfying meal. Pros: Location - It is tucked just off the main road which makes it easy to find and convenient to access whether you are a local or simply passing through Price - The pricing is more than fair, especially considering the portion sizes and the scratch made quality of the food. You get a true value driven dining experience rather than inflated big city prices Quantity - Portions are generous without feeling overdone. Plates are filled with enough food to leave you satisfied, and in many cases you will have leftovers to take home Cons: Flies - The country setting brings a challenge with flies occasionally making their way into the dining area. Staff does their best to manage it but it is something to be aware of, especially during warmer months Parking - Street parking is limited and can become difficult when the restaurant is busy. You may need to walk a bit depending on the time of day Groups - While cozy and inviting, the dining space is not ideal for large parties. Tonight was the last chance I'll give them. i just paid $52 for food...hard-earned dollars. For food that is completely inedible. Throwing it in the trash as I speak. we already had to go back once because we got home the first time and they didn't give us half the food, which is a usual occurrence, but we forgot to check before we left this time. The fries, as usual, are cold, stale, floppy, and taste like they've been cooked in old oil. The chicken strips are at least hot, but also taste like they were cooked in old oil. That has always been the taste from this DQ, but it's extra bad tonight. I don't either bother getting drinks from here because they always taste weird or are flat. We are huge DQ fans and eat there probably once a month, but we will drive to another town for it from now on. I know this one has to need a good deep cleaning of all of their equipment and employees who don't goof off constantly.
