Quick, affordable, and a beautiful result. Friends is a hidden gem in sheepshead and perfect for someone like myself who doesn't like spending hours in a salon. A simple trim goes a long way here ! I'm very happy with my cut. read more

Friends - Hair cut by Friends - Hair Salons Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I have been going here about 4 years now. Attila is the barber I see. He has many years of experience and always does a great job. Most of the time I just walk in and can be seen within 30 minutes. Very professional and clean and spacious salon! read more

I have been getting my hair cut by Attila at Friends for many years and have never been disappointed with the quality or price. The Turks are known throughout the world as expert hair cutters and stylists and at Friends it is obvious why! Friends has far more women than male customers and likewise many are repeat customers. I can not speak for the women (as I am a male) but they all seem to leave happy! The people working at Friends speak English, Turkish and Russian. I found Friends through a Turkish friend (quite apropo, no?). The salon is upscale, spotlessly clean, and comfortable but not ostentatious and in Turkish tradition, they make every customer feel welcome. Friends also offers manicures and pedicures. I very much recommend Friends if you are a man or woman looking for a top quality stylist that does not overcharge! read more

Very disrespectful! My wife had an appointment at this place, she came in time only to find out that her master is not working today, and that they just canceled her appointment without even caring enough to let her know about it. When she asked what can be done about it she was told that she better leave and stop bothering them. Bunch of clowns. don't go here! read more

Love this place! Attila is the best barber around! Old school touch! Never waited for my appointment more then 5 minutes! Reasonably priced and clean! read more

Just came back from a blowout at Friends and am extremely unsatisfied. The hairstylists worked swiftly which may seem like a good thing however, it also resulted in my scalp being scorching hot. A 5 minute walk to the car later, my hair is officially a mess. I stopped at the nearby CVS to buy some hairspray and fix the mess and vow to never return again. read more

Stylists are decent and the price is good but the front desk blonde girl is incompetent and rude

This review is solely for their eyebrow technician, Julie/Gulara. She is the only person I trust with my brows. She threads them to perfection and always takes her time with clients. Scheduling appointments with her is really easy, you can either call the salon or text her directly. read more

Although I love getting my haircut and blow dry here, I have to only give them 3 stars due to the wait. This salon does not understand that when people make an appointment, they expect to be taken at that time. I wait maybe 30min-1hr every time, even with an appointment. Avoid coming here on the weekends at all cost! read more

Update: It's been a few weeks now and the hair grew in pretty nicely. I was pretty heated about it at first but the barber doesn't deserve my negative comments. He does fine work. I would still appreciate it if he listened to me, though. read more

Horrible!! I was waiting over an hour for my appointment after they already washed me. I had to walk out without them finishing. The owner told me she had more then enough time when clearly she didn't. I would of rather her been honest rather then lose me as a customer all together. Horrible horrible horrible read more

I'd lived in the area for 10+ years and have gotten my haircuts at Friends for at least that long. They are always prompt, never too crowded, not too chatty (which I like), but get the job done in a good professional manner, and for a reasonable price. The salon is newly renovated and very clean, and you can usually walk in without having an appointment with minimal or no wait. I have recently moved to Park Slope but still commute to Sheepshead for my haircuts. The quality for the prices can't be beat! read more

I've been coming here for 7 years. Excellent quality, prompt appointments, great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I went to Friends about 4 times in the past year for haircut/trim and until now I was satisfied with service and price. The girl that did my hair, Vika, is very nice and really knows what she is doing. I was never disappointed with her work. Every time that I went to get my hair cut, I was charged $30 for the haircut, tip not included. The haircut included wash, cut and blow dry. I was always offered to have a blowout, but I never needed it, so I always asked just to blow dry my hair with no extra tricks... I called the salon a few days ago to ask how much they would charge for a single step color and a haircut, and the lady on the phone, with absolutely no intention of being pleasant, told me that the color is $50, haircut is $30 and blow-dry is $25. I told her that I don't need a style, and because I will be coloring my hair, it would need to be washed anyway, so why are they charging me for the blow-dry? Does this mean they would let me leave their salon with my hair wet after coloring? $100 for cut and color is fine-- if that is the price for the service, but if you are charging $25 for BLOW DRY ONLY when I'm requesting a coloring, then that makes the salon seem cheap and greedy. The lady on the phone was very unpleasant, and for the ridiculous new price changes i will not be coming back here.... oh well read more

No one can cut hair like Attila! Since I've started going to him 3 years ago I never had a bad experience.

awesome place, i go to Attila, he's really good with short hair styles, if you're tired of barber hair cuts and want an actual hair style Attila is the man, he's 100% honest and will tell you what would look good and if its possible cause everyone has different hair and not all hairs styles are possible. highly recommended read more
