Food was lowkey buns. I got steak tips and Mash and it was chewy and overcooked. Had to switch meals with my Mom because I could NOT stomach that. Service was alright took a while. It was kinda loud other than that it was fine. read more

This is definitely more of a nostalgic stop for us. We were driving past and saw that this was a friendly location that was open...all the ones near us had previously closed. Unless you're coming for the nostalgic vibes, please do not expect good food lol. Your booth will most likely be sticky but you can't beat the nostalgic vibes and price. The food is definitely in the middle of the road has to be expected from a Friendly's but the staff were very nice. read more

I was charged .25 for mustard! Mustard people! What?! And charged .25 for a slice of tomato. Again, whaaat? The worst part is the waitress did NOT inform me ahead of time; no clue or tell me anything about these extra charges. These days I'll just go without. At least let customers know ahead of time. After the fact, you give me no choice but to pay. Mustard? Really?! read more

Stopped here about 2pm as not many sit down choices to eat in Pittsfield. Its just like we remembered this place. It was clean and comfortable. Husband had chicken apple salad with apple vinaigrette which he raved about! I picked the turkey club with bacon/thousand island dressing. Very tasty!. Our server Michelle was pleasant, helpful and efficient. Reasonable pricing. We would come back again next time we are in the area. read more

We went to Friendly's on a Friday night where we knew it would be a little bit busy, but we've gone to Friendly's on Friday nights many times and have never experienced what we did. We waited at the hostess podium for over 10 minutes with no one acknowledging us. Servers walking past without a word, but knew we were there because they kept looking at us. The line of people waiting for a table started going out the door because they had us just standing there waiting with no acknowledgment. By the time we got a table, the server came over and took our order but did not write it down. When we got our food it was cold. It clearly had been sitting there for a while before they brought it to us. The price for the food is insane and the quality isn't even the same anymore. Take your money elsewhere, this definitely is not the same Friendly's as when we were kids and it shows. read more

I came here out of nostalgia. That's all you need to know. Growing up I came here often and my sister even worked at a local branch. The food was amazing and might be classified as the quintessential comfort food genre. Service was soooooo poor. I needed to get my sad sap butt out of seat and search for the waiter to get my water and Diet Coke refilled. I mean, this self service waiting was a big zero score. I don't recall whether or not they had piped in music or not. Seats were fast food like and not comfortable. My salad was small and had some brown greens, mushy tomatoes, and chintzy cheese. I got my favorite childhood dessert....in a goblet, 4 or 5 scoops of black raspberry ice cream with peanut syrup, caramel, marshmallow topping, rainbow sprinkles and whipped cream! I was in heaven. Birds were chirping, butterflies fluttering around, and cherubs floating overhead. Service was a 1 Salad was a 1 dessert was a 7 read more

We ordered from the app tonight for pickup!! The order was not all correctly put together. We ordered the new Siracha burger and a regular bacon double cheeseburger and they gave us two double bacon cheeseburgers. The chicken bbq melts and steak and cheese melts were both done correctly. Our biggest complaint was the fries, they were not very crispy and the containers were not very full at all. A member of our group had to go back in to let them know they messed up the siracha burger and have it redone. Right as they were closing.... The food burgers and melts were very good quality but they time wasted on having to redo the siracha burger wasn't exactly a joyous time. The icecream and Friendly's Fribble were all prepared as ordered and very good. They were very nice and apologized and made the errors correct. The siracha burger was really delicious!!!!! read more

It's an OK place to go, not top-of-the-line but not the bottom either. This location has been open for a while and I've been there a few times and as an overall rating I'd give it "average". I can't even remember what I had this time but it wasn't bad so that is good I guess. My parents used to go here on Sundays with another couple and it was a good location to sit/relax/catch-up on life. read more

Friendly'a started closing for a reason. This place could use some serious cleaning. Menus are disgusting and should have been cleaned at least once in the last 2 years. The kitchen was horrifying to look at on a Saturday afternoon. Over flowing trash buckets and trays of ice on the floor while the dining room was empty and servers were hanging out talking. Cleaning products on food prep counters. Basically I only came here because of the kids. But I'm worried about what kind is illness I picked up here. read more

Okay, here we go. I loved Friendly's as a kid. When we moved away to Florida I missed the Fribbles, Fishmajig and sherbet coolers. The chain closed in FL so I thought my Fribble days were over. So we're back in New England and this place is crawling with Friendly's. We had to go back. I've seen all the negative reviews but I have to say my experience here was just fine. The restaurant we were in was clean, the wait staff was very friendly, and the Fribble was every bit as good as I remember. We went back the next morning for breakfast and again while the food is pretty much diner quality, it was inexpensive and filling. In Florida we mostly have a Denny's, and this is very similar. Can't beat the $4.99 breakfast special on weekdays. Is this place fine dining... No. This the neighborhood ice cream parlor that I remember from my youth. Hopefully they can continue to make improvements and bring the chain back. I still love coming here. Fribbles forever. read more

The workers are amazing and give great services. They are very respectful and the food is amazing if someone asked me where i wanna go to get food i'd say "friendlys!" in a heartbeat. Our waiter Kara was very respectful and she provided everything we needed and it was a great experience! i will be coming back again no doubt. On top of everything the seats and the temperature of the store was perfect i felt very welcomed for my first time and wasn't uncomfortable. read more

A bit careworn from the curb, like most stalwarts of the franchise, and a bit lonely, enisled as it is in the end of a parking lot and two busy cross streets on the east end of town, this Friendly's is a bit perkier on the inside. It suffers as all Friendly's do these days from a somewhat desultory and unpredictable kitchen; on our recent visit the kids' selections came out tasting a bit of bland cardboard and obviously reheated, while the adults' sandwiches were decently-prepared. We did have very nice service, although we were crammed into a little booth instead of the many open bigger ones, apparently to keep one section of the restaurant clear for the busloads of tourists that will never come on a sleepy Sunday evening. It will take a lot more than newly-printed menus to lift Friendly from the abyss of mediocrity into which it has tumbled over the years, and this particular restaurant is in particular need of a facelift. But it's just good enough to lure those nostalgic parents such as ourselves in given a dearth of other options, and the kids stay for the balloons (still sans helium). You could do worse, although if Denny's gets balloons, watch out. read more

great food and great ice cream tbh i'm only doing this for that 100 buck gift card but i need 85 characters.

We come to this Friendly's a lot. Like, a LOT. My child doesn't eat many things, and Friendly's kids' meals happen to be on the 'yes' list. We've come especially often throughout the past couple years. It was a go-to place for us early on in the pandemic. It was important for us to support a local business and our neighbors in the food service industry. The job is hard enough during 'normal' times! The servers at this Friendly's have been truly wonderful to our little family. I'm scared to list them by name for fear that I'll forget someone, but Stacey, Michelle, Crystal, Julia and Dana have consistently been friendly, patient, accommodating, and efficient. Friendly's food is Friendly's food. THEY are the reason we keep coming back. This review is long overdue. We are truly grateful for them and the job they do. read more

My mom, niece and I went here for lunch today. The server and food was great! Everyone was very friendly. My niece had her eye on the claw machine in the corner and we tried a half a dozen times to win her a stuffed octopus. Unfortunately, it was to no avail. We left, full and happy and will definitely return. As we were leaving, (in the pouring rain), a young brown haired girl who worked there ran out with an octopus she had just won and wanted to give it to my niece. It absolutely made her day!! I wish we had caught your name, but thank you so much! We will definitely be back, and good people do exist! Thank you!!! read more

Just had the strangest experience trying to order a couple of dishes with scoops of ice cream. No toppings, nothing fancy. We are from out of town, and my wife remembered loving Friendly's decades ago. She wanted to see how her memory met up with today's Friendly's. We walked in, ordered and waited... and waited... and waited. All the while all these online customers were picking up their orders. After 20! Minutes we gave up and demanded our money back. I mean, the person who took our order saw us standing there waiting, but it's pretty clear that once she takes your order her mind shuts down figuring that someone else actually scoops the ice cream. Did she immediately wipe our faces from her memory while we stood there? C'mon folks! Show some respect for your customers and yourselves. This is no way to run a business. Not to mention that the manager did not apologize or take any responsibility for trying to appease us as customers who were treated abysmally. read more

Having grown up with Friendly's, this place is a childhood staple for me. The staff may change, and so does the décor, but this food is comfort for me! I've spent countless friend reunions here, post theatre dinners, childhood breakfasts, and so many more times! They are normally understaffed, but the ladies are always super friendly! The ice cream is amazing! I was a bit bummed they got rid of my favorite Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream, but all of the flavors are still delicious. I normally get the Honey BBQ Chicken Supermelt and its just so good! It's obviously terrible for you, but when you only eat here one or twice a year its worth it. I also love their loaded waffle fries! The cheese here is even good, like no other fast food restaurant has cheese and fries this good! No matter how you change Friendly's, I'll keep coming back to visit you! read more

Typical Friendly's ...Family Friendly Very confusing to try to use coupons....what things are one the menu that are considered "entrees". Sneaky ways to pad the bill.
