When my husband and I arrived at Dennys there was a sign on the front door that said, if you sign up for our app, you will get a free dessert. I was already signed up for the app so that should be no problem. After our dinner and then received the "free " dessert i was told by this man that he couldn't find me in the system or in my app where I was to receive a free dessert. So even though Stephanie told him to go ahead and give them their free dessert, he chose to offer the ten percent off locals discount. That was barely half of the price of the "free "dessert. In addition to that, we are already locals. So there should have been a 10% discount on the entire price AND a free dessert. So I would suggest, don't put a sign on your front door that says free dessert with the app downloaded. Unless you plan to follow through. I would have given five stars if it weren't for that.

Besides the fact that Denny's is now crazy overpriced for what you get, I was definitely bothered by the fact the sausages were cold. Pancakes however, were good and hot. Bob Evans is a restaurant that serves breakfast and southern foods, and also has a small store as well. Store isn't as big as a competing brand but they did have some cute items. After looking around the store, we decided to sit down. There was no wait for a table. We sat down immediately. Our server was friendly and nice and made sure to check in on us. Their menu has a lot of combination platters, but does have plain items. I settled on the chocolate chip pancakes. For drinks we all got coffee and water. Waitress did a great job taking everyone's order and remembering the separate checks. Food came out in a timely manner and very much enjoyed my pancakes! Oh and restrooms were used this visit and clean. Our bill was 54.07 total and paid with a credit card up front and left the waitress a cash tip! Will be back if we want to try breakfast again!

She didn't come around to check to see if we needed anything until I called her over about my undone pancakes. It took 25 minutes to get our food in a pretty empty restaurant. I got the farmers choice: 3 pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and home fries The pancakes were not cooked all the way. They were gooey in the middle still, getting stuck to the roof of my mouth. I did sent them back. She asked if I wanted more, no. It has already taken 15 days to bring me these and they weren't even done. My daughters was the same. My cousin ordered the strawberry pancakes and you can see the picture. You do not get fresh strawberries. There's a sauce with chunks of strawberries that they put on there, again, just a mess. She didn't stop around to ask if we wanted refills. The place was rather empty, nice and clean

We decided to give it a try and ordered takeout. The service on the phone and when we picked up the food was very friendly. They have lots of seating inside and several tables outside under cover to enjoy the weather. There is a full bar on the left when you walk in. We ordered the Rueben which was really good. The meat and sauerkraut had great flavor, and the bread was good. The Poutine Fries - French fries topped with brown gravy, fried cheese curds, & more brown gravy - were really good. To be honest, they didn't look that appetizing, but they were tasty and a lot of food. The basket of curds - fired Wisconsin cheese curds served with homemade marinara or homemade ranch - were really good. I'm glad we tried The Grumpy Mustache. We will eat here again.

The restaurant is much larger inside than it appears from outside and offers plenty of seating for small and large groups. I love the open air feel of the dining area and the balcony displaying different trees decorated for the fall. I imagine it is absolutely beautiful decorated for Christmas. While I didn't catch our server's name, she was amazing and very attentive. The hubs ordered the Carolina omelette with grits and had requested no mushrooms or green peppers. It still came with mushrooms but he was able to pick them out. Our server noticed the pile of mushrooms and said she would be right back. The hubs told her that he didn't want or need another omelette but she returned with a properly prepared omelette which we took home for later. She was very apologetic and said that it was important to her that he received what he had ordered. I ordered the eggs Benedict with grits and always ask for my English muffin to be extra toasted and they nailed it!!!! It was perfectly crispy and held up I the hollandaise sauce and egg yolk. The hollandaise sauce was some of the best I've ever had (and I have had a lot in various states). Perfect balance of creaminess and texture. The grits are nothing to get excited about as they are instant and slightly disappointing. Overall we both really enjoyed our meals. We will definitely be back and look forward to trying other items from the menu.
