Stopped in for ice cream. Ordered a sundae with chocolate ice cream. We were the only customers in the place but it still took a while to come out. This Friendly's restaurant is the best! The staff is the best I have ever had polite friendly courteous and accommodating to my special request of my order. The kitchen is clean and the food is fantastic! The chicken tender with ranch and BBQ can't be duplicated anywhere. Their red skin potatoes are the best! We love their happy ending sundaes and their chocolate chip mint ice cream is the best out of any other brand. I can not recommend this place enough! I noticed before my visit this restaurant had a 2-star rating. I think that's totally false. My experience was great! I used to go to Friendly's all the time as a child and this did not disappoint. The food was delicious! Just as I remembered and those new Tater Kegs, Yum! The service was also very good. They were very busy and still all the staff was pleasant and we got our food in good time. We stopped into the Friendly's in Hartford Mall, BelAir Md to take advantage of the .88 single dip cone. The ice cream was refreshing and the manager (Chris) was kind and very helpful. Friendly's food is Friendly's food. I am not going to lose weight here. The personnel, though, are very sweet and kind. My three-year-old and I come here every Wednesday for dinner, and everyone loves him and his mop of hair. He now knows who everybody's favorite dinosaur is there. The assistant manager Christina is the absolute worst. She just sat there yelling at us over the phone because we were missing items yet again from a to go order we placed and I'd emailed the store manager because this was now the 3rd time we had problems with take out from there. She claimed she personally handed all the items to us and that it was just left behind on the counter. However this isn't the case, she's just covering her behind. She also claimed the 2nd time we had an issue that she personally packed our order, mind you we checked it WHILE STANDING THERE, noticed a meal was missing and she was totally rude and unprofessional about it. So really can't put much weight on her "personally" being the one to do it. Hell I wouldn't doubt if she tampered with our food since she "personally" handled it knowing we'd had bad experiences before. Both of those times they were also past the promised order time and claimed it was "busy" even though the restaurant wasn't even close to full. They clearly cannot handle the business at this location anymore. The first time we'd had an issue we got home and realized we were literally missing half our food. I tried calling 7 times and nobody bothered to answer until I was on route back to the store. I have the proof of this. He then proceeded to tell me there was nothing he could do for me that I have to contact the store manager. Which I did and finally got a refund after having to be a pain in the butt a bunch of times. I do NOT like to be the complainy customer, but in instance it merits it. The food quality has gone way down, the prices have increased and the customer service at this location is terrible. I doubt they'll be there much longer. Oh and to boot just FYI I've seen them clean the allergy milkshake thing with the exact same rag they just cleaned up peanut butter up with. So don't order if you have an allergy, you'll likely have a reaction. read more

HORRIBLE customer service! Came in for a Jim Dandy and Banana Split, left with a severe allergic reaction. I specified a nut allergy and changed the ice creams. The order was completely and utterly wrong. I called the store to ask for a refund, since neither of the ice creams could be eaten and was told " per their policy, they don't give refunds. They can only give a voucher". I don't want a voucher, I want my lips to go down and my throat to stop itching! Friendly's you are in for one hell of a law suit if you choose to practice your business this way. Good luck to anyone who patronizes this hell-hole. read more
