Some Terrain shops (the smaller ones inside Anthropologie stores) are limited to dried flowers, indoor plants, and accessories and garden tools, but they have larger stores, including this location in Glen Mills - their flagship location. It opened in 2008; it has a nursery, a huge home store (decor, candles, llighting, food, gifts, garden gear, indoor plants), a fafe, a greenhouse... Whether you're a gardener or not, Terrain is fun to explore. We visited two weeks ago, and I have to say that it's particularly beautiful in winter - all those Christmas trees in snow and a fire pit and seasonal decor... Worth stopping by if you're in the area!

Be sure to wear proper clothing for this indoor and outdoor shop. This is an Urban Outfitters family brand shop. Urban Outfitters was founded in Wayne, PA. Accordingly this first Terrain location was an all out endeavor. And it delivers. It's a hygge spa meets gardening paradise. Plan to spend 30-45 minutes shopping and walking the grounds. Halloween and the holidays are the best here. And a stop at the cafe to your next visit. See website for more information. Free parking but come early on weekends and event days.

Not a great first experience here. Had items shipped here…read moreto Brandywine town Center. Got a confirmation mail that they arrived and when I get to Kirkland's 2 days later no one can find my purchases. After about 30 minutes The cashier told me I should call customer service to which my response was that she or someone else should since email clearly told me it was shipped to the store. At this point the manager stepped in and went in the back and checked and then called customer service. This took another 15 minutes The end result being that there was a mess up. The email never should've been sent to me to because items were never sent to the store so I was told to go home and wait a few days and call back. Now I have to say that the manager handled this well because she did in fact tell me she would call when it was in And she did. So I have no complaints with the management, just Kirklands methodologies in communication and shipping. And I probably would've given this two stars because the manager did try to help but I got really annoyed when I got a major item home and when I went to hang it the hanging materials were not attached to the item as indicated in both the packaging and the email. I'm Done with online- ship to store ordering. Anything I decide to purchase from Kirkland's in the future will only occur on the infrequent times I'm in the area.

They change their inventory often so there's always something new to find and the staff is always friendly. My favorite decor is the quirky lamp choices. They have lamps for every theme of a room so there's options for your house. Amazing blanket and painting selections as well.

Since my last review Dishfunctional moved from a warehouse type space to a retail strip mall…read morelocation in nearby Frazier. Their WC space had been sold and was being torn down. FDC and I were in the area so we decided to check out the new digs. The shopping center it's located in is large and has ample free lot parking. The space is bright and open. What we noticed was a change - in the old location there were rows and rows of shelves, with dishes organized by pattern or color. If you were hoping to find a replacement for a broken plate in your pattern, or to add to your set, you could easily do that and chances were, they'd have your pattern even if it was passed down from your great grandmother, who brought it with her to the New World. In the new space there was thoughtful merchandising of items, displayed in settings with style groupings but not necessarily patterns. Saw some patterns scattered in different places, like Kings Crown Ruby Stained goblets. I get it, they compliment lots of styles. Finding 5 of them may involve hunting. The store is lovely and well displayed. We found inspiration and were charmed. It's still a great store, it's more though general shop for amazing dishes and such and less looking for an item in a pattern. In its former format, Dishfunctional filled a need no one else had. Now it's just shopping for cool stuff. We'll still visit, my dish loving heart weeps though for what was lost when some real estate developer decided what West Chester really needed was more "luxury condos" on a semi-industrial area. One other thing - they still have a robust eBay presence so if you are looking for a specific pattern or style, check there. Also Alfred has an encyclopedic knowledge, so ask him about what you are looking for - or if you want to know more about a gorgeous bowl- if he's there.
