They are my go to place for garden accents - vintage and reproduction and I love this big old wash tub in the front room that has odds and ends of coin silver, silver plate, and sterling serving pieces and flatware. Fun and sometimes funky pieces of old furniture, true country pieces, and great art and some of the best antique mirrors I have seen. They also have the most amazing Christmas ornaments and wow can I go on? YES, ALL DAY I LOVE THIS PLACE THAT MUCH! The owner is very willing to deal fairly with her customers and it never hurts to see if it is her best price. If you have never been, GO. FDC and I were in the area so we decided to check out the new digs. The shopping center it's located in is large and has ample free lot parking. The space is bright and open. What we noticed was a change - in the old location there were rows and rows of shelves, with dishes organized by pattern or color. If you were hoping to find a replacement for a broken plate in your pattern, or to add to your set, you could easily do that and chances were, they'd have your pattern even if it was passed down from your great grandmother, who brought it with her to the New World. In the new space there was thoughtful merchandising of items, displayed in settings with style groupings but not necessarily patterns. Saw some patterns scattered in different places, like Kings Crown Ruby Stained goblets. I get it, they compliment lots of styles. Finding 5 of them may involve hunting. The store is lovely and well displayed. We found inspiration and were charmed. It's still a great store, it's more though general shop for amazing dishes and such and less looking for an item in a pattern. In its former format, Dishfunctional filled a need no one else had. Now it's just shopping for cool stuff. We'll still visit, my dish loving heart weeps though for what was lost when some real estate developer decided what West Chester really needed was more "luxury condos" on a semi-industrial area. We were scheduled for a delivery and received multiple SMS updates showing the drivers' distance and expected arrival time. Despite this, our Ring camera never activated, and neither my husband nor I received a phone call indicating that the delivery team had arrived. When my husband attempted to call the number provided for "Jose," who had been texting delivery updates, there was no answer. Shortly afterward, we were informed that our delivery would need to be rescheduled--seven days out--with no refund for the delivery fee, despite the failed attempt being no fault of ours. After speaking with three different managers, the customer service we received was consistently poor. We were offered only a $100 credit instead of the full refund we requested for the delivery charge. In researching further, I've now learned that this type of unprofessional behavior is unfortunately common for Bob's Discount Furniture. Needless to say, we will not be returning as customers. We can only hope the furniture quality is better than the service we have received so far. If you value reliability and professionalism, I strongly recommend shopping elsewhere--Raymour & Flanigan or Ashley would have been the better choice in hindsight. Stay away from this business! Update: No delivery attempt based upon review of the home security system camera!
