Specifically on September 23, 2024, I was informed that Fidelity Warranty Services was not going to cover a needed repair ( Rear Differential) on my 2019 Jeep Latitude. I contacted several different agencies without a positive resolution on this matter. I then contacted Bill Crafton from Friendly Ford, where I had purchased my Jeep and the Extended Warranty in March of 2021. Within hours of explaining to Bill Crafton my situation, I received notification the he had secured the funding for the repair of my vehicle. After reaching out via their website with interest in a "used" vehicle I was connected with Chris Russel. June of 2023, I kind of wanted to leave this alone but I just cant to this point. The truck I purchased has been nothing but a problem. First month of ownership of this thing consumed oil. Was explained to me that its "normal" to add a quart every 1000 miles. This is by all means IS NOT NORMAL! This thing ate 6 quarts of oil in just 3 weeks. I calculated this to being a quart of oil every 200 miles. I drive a 100 miles a day, that's to and from work. So, we did the TSB of changing the dipstick and doing the re-flash of the ECM. This helped but not enough. 3 quarts of oil in 1000 miles. I waited many months to hear weather I got an engine for this thing or not. I still have to work and pay off the $38,000.00 loan for a $20,000.00 truck. Weird how $18,000.00 over book value kinda looks to me. So, by the end of December the engine made its way into this thing. Three months of waiting. Lots of unknowns about this engine. Not a new motor, a used. Unknown amount of miles, year, and so on. I was told that I would have all the information about the motor in the first week. That was never sent and or received. Now comes the fun part. Granted the person that put the engine in did a great job, not discounting that person. HOWEVER the check engine light is on after the 1st month of having a "new engine". I was told "O2", its not the O2. P0430 is the code this thing is screaming at me. The catalyst's are shot, remember the three months I waited for an engine? So how much oil did I go through? Something like a case and a half of oil. what's that do to those parts? No one wants to cover these things and I have had this pile of shit for just shy of 7 months. and I'm basically treated as if its my fault. First year and a half of being back to work in 14 + years of being a stay at home father with 2 disabled children. An I feel like I got raped. This will be the absolute LAST time I will EVER buy from a dealership or any dealership. Best part is they act as if I bought this thing in 2019 every time an anytime I call about it.. I would basically steer clear of this place at this point. Hell, I warn my best enemy's to not go there. NY state inspection is coming up in three months and it looks like I will be shelling out $2000.00 for exhaust parts for a 2019. IF I can get them. read more
