Amazing vegan donut choices and not to mention the coffee Service was fast and they brightened the customers morning Lots of space to sit and enjoy your donut and coffee. Totally recommend it!
I'm a happy regular. I work in the area Tuesdays and Thursdays and this is my afternoon pick me up. Mimi has got my drink order down, blueberry almond milk matcha latte iced. Starbucks can't compare! I originally came in because they have mochi donuts on their menu. I went through all the flavors and taste tested them with the boyfriend since they were his current favorite treat. When the kick moved on, I started trying the matcha lattes. Gotta say the blueberry is the best, it's like fruity pebbles. They have much more in store in drinks and treats. I've come in and a man was sharing his guilty pleasure with coworkers and had ordered a mixed box of donuts. Oh the choices! Beautifully made with great pricing. Definitely a gem to local business and the community.
Friendly Donuts is some of the best! We have been here only a few times, but I have always left happy! They are open 24 hours and they are known to offer many VEGAN options. This is great for those with food allergies. The location is well lit and has a decent size parking. The inside has bench seating and nice decor for photo ops. The staff here were efficient and hospitable. On a recent late night visit we scooped up a few vegan donuts and pastries for my wife and I saw a Dubai Chocolate I could not pass up! The vegan donuts all tasted great and that Dubai one was amazing. I love coming out here to Friendly Donuts for a delicious treat and because my wife can enjoy an array of vegan donut selections. Thanks, Friendly Donuts! ( ^_^)b
Orange County, meet your new local donut dealer. Friendly is not the only good thing about this donut joint. What's also excellent is the variety of delicious donuts they have to offer. Donuts, cronuts, and mochi donuts .. Friendly Donuts has got them all. And the best part? They are very affordable compared to other fancy donut shops around. I came to pick up a dozen donuts to take to a friend's house this morning. I decided to upgrade to a dozen mochi donuts when I found out a dozen was only $32. I've tried donuts here in the past to know that they are tasty as well. In a time when most prices are inflated, I appreciate that Friendly Donuts has kept their prices fair. That mixed with a variety of scrumptious donuts and friendly service, you have found your new local donut dealer!
bThey have so many unique , regular and vegan, donuts, + friendly staff. Good matcha, too! I'll be back soon to see what they've come up with.
Over a decade ago I went to Friendly Donuts in Orange and I was so underwhelmed. Recently when my boyfriend mentioned seeing Friendly Donuts from a YouTuber he follows, I was open to trying it again. It's been so long. I was rooting for them to improve. I was optimistic as we pulled up into their little parking lot. There was a lot of improvements to the donut shop. Definitely new paint, new fun back drop, a wide selection when we came during the weekend. We ordered a Canadian Favorite ($4.50), a Pistachio Donut ($3.25), a Maple Cruller (Promo $1), and a Dozen Donut Holes ($4). We were full from lunch but we wanted to try the donut holes right away.. .. .. ugh... disappointment... so dense. Not a fan. My boyfriend ate the pistachio donut said it was not bad, better than the donut holes. His theory is maybe they do better cake donuts than yeast donuts. I microwaved the Canadian favorite which is the maple with the bacon and it wasn't hard since it was warm, flavor was good but just about as good as all the other donut shops. Oh the seating the did have along the side of the little shop was a bit tight and the surface could use some cleaning. It had a lot of donut crumbles from previous patrons. I feel like the latest visit is a smidge better than my last visit. I do see improvements but I wouldn't go out of my way for this place. It's probably an okay option for locals. And I still don't feel like they're friendly... sorry when you name your place friendly donuts, you set up expectations for your staff to be friendly.
Stopped by Friendly Donuts on my way back home from a road trip. I'm so glad we stopped, because they had a nice selection of vegan donuts for my son and regular donuts for myself. Every donut we tried was delicious. I like that the donuts do not taste artificial and the flavors really come through! My favorite donut flavor as the Ube! Very clean inside and staff were helpful plus friendly!
Very good and unique donuts with soo many choices. Me and my friend went late at night and the donuts still tasted fresh
Delish donuts & very creative flavors. Some of our favs are their French cream, tiramisu, flan donuts, Boston cream, and the mochi donuts! And so many more- chef creations & classic donuts- something for everyone. Love our local donut shop! Definitely worth a visit.
Awesome donut shop! The cutest yummiest donuts! And everyone is so friendly! My kids and I love this place for a special treat. They also have gluten free donuts and mochi donuts.
This place is amazing! Steven answered so many questions about all the different donuts and helped direct our choices. My daughter loved her animal cookie donut and the Nutella strawberry dossant was bomb!
The dough isn't too sweet, but isn't as airy as some of the other donuts I've had in OC. I can see why it's rated higher than Oliboli donuts. The maple donut frosting is out of this world good. Long John's were more airy than the main circular donuts . Cake donuts dry

Decided to come here for a fun midnight snack. The service was great, especially considering the hour. Plenty of staff to assist and manage the customers (we were not the only ones there surprisingly). There was plenty of selection even for their more popular dosants and Mochi donuts. However, Friendly isn't just a donut shop, there are plenty of drink options as well. Imo it's a better version of seaside donuts. They recently went through a facelift and feature a more bright and trendy aesthetic. There's no seating inside but there are a few benches outside. read more
This was one of the spots my wife and I checked out for our impromptu OC tour. I picked some mochi donuts and some cream filled , just a whole variety of doughnuts. Now I'm not one to read prices so I ended up with about 9 donuts which was about 40 plus dollars. I'm old so this is a bit crazy but for the more specialty donuts I know they run 4 to 5 dollars alone I'm not mad at that but if I'm being honest the donuts were cool with the stuffed French vanilla and peaches and cream being the standouts for me the services was good they were very helpful. Not a lot of seating inside from what I can see but give it a try and see what you think. read more

Incredible shop. The donuts, croissants and drinks are beyond yummy. They have a large variety of flavors, as well as croissants. Mochi donuts and truly vegan options! They open early and run out of their top flavors later by 3pm, so make sure you place an order if you want anything in specific (esp. off their seasonal menu) have happy vibrant lobby and photo op. Mimi was so helpful and informative, thanks yall! read more

What better way to reward yourself after a long hike than with delicious donuts! We have been looking at donuts shops for the croissant wheels and came upon Friendly Donuts after our hike in the Anaheim hills. With a large selection of specialty and signature donuts, Friendly Donuts has an option for everyone! Even for the pickiest of people. My friend and I had such a hard time picking which flavors to try that we not only chose 3 flavors to try together but also bought some to take home! To share, we settled for the Ube toasted coconut croissant wheel, the flan dossant and the blueberry lemon tiramisu. The Ube croissant wheel was my favorite out of the three since I'm a ube fan. The amount of croissant to ube cream filling was perfect. They definitely don't skimp on the filling! The flan doesn't had a nice crunch to it with a soft middle and the lady fingers on the blurry lemon tiramisu retained their softness but was flavored through out. The staff there are very friendly and were patient with us as we took forever to decide what to get. The donuts are a bit pricier than normal donuts but well worth it to try different takes on the conventional donut flavors. If you're going specifically for the croissant wheels do come early since they tend to run out. We came at around 1 PM and they happened to only have 1 left for the day so we got lucky. Definitely a bookmarked location that I'll be revisiting again! read more
Love coming for all the scrumptious & different varieties of Friendly donuts has to offer. I like Following their social media/instagram for monthly mochi donut flavors along w specialty donuts. Only thing also. They tend to sell out of them. Suggest going early to avoid the sold out. ~Strawberry Shortcake Mochi Donuts ~white chocolate Guava Mochi Donuts ~Earl Grey Lavender Mochi Donuts ~Strawberry Creme Dossant Are all so yummy and highly recommended. Their mochi donuts are good & chewy. Looks like they have avocado toast, few croissant w ham/cheese along w other breakfast items. Love their newly remodeled donut shop interior. The pink hue floors, yellow ceiling and a few photo props are so cool along With awesome merchandise for sale. Their different box designs with sayings are pretty cool. Service is always great & fast here. Parking is limited. * Tip, Ck in on YELP and receive a free Cake donut. read more

Probably one of the best doughnut shops around the area, and sooooo many varieties of donuts! Love the Dubai chocolate! I am not sure about the name of the inside but the filling is just so nice! The taro donut with filling inside is tasty as well. Clean store, fast service, and fair price. The staff members were very friendly and patient. Since it was my first time there, they explained the flavours and recommended me the most popular ones. Would come again! read more

Hi there,…
Drove all the way down from LA for these donuts and they didn't disappoint. Everything you'd want in a donut was here. With it being my first time, the guys were patient and made great suggestions on which flavors were best and which were their favorites. This spot is worth the drive. True gem in the OC. read more

Good selection and variety of regular and specialty donuts - they had cronuts, mochi donuts, cake donuts and yeasted ones. My favorites would have to be the boston creme donut which was generously filled with delicious custard. Next is the creme brulee cronut which had a flan on top, crackly caramelized top and a custardy jam in the middle. Very balanced and interesting texture! I'm not usually a fan of cake donuts but theirs are very light and fluffy that we surprisingly liked them. I really enjoyed the strawberry sprinkled flavor. The raspberry filled donut had a very tasty jam although there was an odd taste in the donut itself, i wonder if it was this batch. But all in all, the quality of the donuts and the flavor exceeded my expectations. I also loved the playful ambiance and interior of the place and the friendly staff they had. read more

Late night donut spot? Wow. I love it. I love the colors inside, the decor, and the merch too. My friend got me the tote and it's one of my favorites to carry around. Of course while I was visiting her we HAD to stop by. The problem is there's sooo many delicious looking donuts. How can you choose just a couple?? We got an assortment of donuts and literally every single one was amazing. I loved the ube donut, nice texture. I loved the cream stuffed one. Just wow! And I got the passion fruit and WOW. Seriously you cannot go wrong with anything you choose. I can't wait to visit again and try more. read more

Oh my god, so delicious!!! we got the crème brûlée, chocolate pistachio Dubai, pumpkin spice cake donut, and this custard flaky donut! Everything exceeded my expectations! The workers were friendly hence the name friendly donuts (I see what you guys did there) and the inside of the place was very well themed! The showcase was fully stocked when we went to so it made the choices that much harder to choose from! I can not wait to bring my friends and family here that are local and from out of town!! P.S. forgot to get pictures because I was too excited. Update: we came back the very next day because the donuts were THAT freaking good! The donuts tasted fresh both days despite coming at different times each day. In addition to what we got yesterday, we got the red velvet, pistachio, vanilla maple, and classic vanilla cake donut. Great donut shop! The owners are super sweet too! I will make the 23 miles commute from Corona every time for this place! read more

The staff are friendly, and there definitely are doughnuts! A HUGE variety of them, too. Fritters, buttermilk, mochi, cronut, vegan, filled, cake, even the trendy filled croissant wheel, they got 'em all. They rotate flavors as well. I almost missed the shop coming off of Chapman Ave, as it is in a tiny corner lot by itself before Hewes St. Luckily, I visited during the early afternoon and had no trouble finding parking. I ordered a cookie butter croissant wheel, a nutella and strawberry cronut, a guava fritter, and a lavender-vanilla donut filled with rose cream. Of the four, my favorite had to be the classic nutella and strawberry cronut, with the unique and tasty floral combo donut coming in at a very close second. I was a bit disappointed by the croissant wheel, but it might just be that I'm not a huge fan of cookie butter. The guava fritter was good but a little too greasy. These donuts were extremely pricey, and I know these are fancy freshly-made donuts, but I was surprised at the total being in the high teens. I paid cash, so fortunately they give a small discount for that, but still, I think I'll save Friendly Doughnuts for a special treat. They're worth the visit, though, and I'll come back for sure. read more

I've been seeing these croissant wheels all over IG so when I saw that Friendly Donuts was selling it I busted a mission to go buy some. They rotate flavors monthly I believe? and this month was my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE flavor combo strawberry matcha. The workers are really friendly and helped me reserve two croissant wheels when I called in to make sure they still had some in stock. The storefront is so cute and really well decorated. The croissant wheel itself was pretty big and had a good amount of strawberry jam and matcha cream filling. The strawberry cream was too sweet for my liking but was offset by the matcha cream and croissant itself. It would have tasted extra nice if I had toasted it for a bit. They had a lot of other donuts and drinks so I would love to return in the future to give their other stuff a try! read more

Any seed oils used?
Sorry I didn't ask. I don't know but they're really good. It's vegan
Do the vegan donuts have soy in them?
Hi Mary, we do have soy in our products. Let us know if any other allergies we should be aware of ! Thanks !
Do they have the viral spiral crossiants here?
They did when I went in May, but they sell out quickly. I think you can always call and ask when the next batch will be ready.
What's the best time of day to come to get the freshest donuts?
What kind of sugar & salt is used in the vegan donuts?
Are the mochi donuts gluten free & vegan?
Vegan, but contain wheat. So not gluten-free
Gluten free donuts?
Do you guys have donuts that are both gluten and vegan?
they said they have them on the weekends!!
Do they have a nutrition chart?
I don't believe I have seen one. I'm going to say no but you could always call and ask. They are very very friendly there!
Are there any vegan donuts that also have no vanilla. I'm also allergic to vanilla 😩?
I'm not sure but they're super nice, they could maybe accommodate that for you. Worth a shot to call and ask.
How much are the mochi donuts? I am looking for a few dozen for a drive thru bday party.
About $28.
Are you guys open on Christmas?
We are open 24 hours Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we are open till 3PM.
Have they added any vegan donuts to the menu?
They just recently put up a sign saying "Vegan donuts". So yes, I believe they do.
Do you carry any gluten free donuts?
I called them and they said they don't at the moment. But they are working on a recipe!
What is ube?
Ube is a purple yam -- It has a smooth texture and a mild, sweet flavor that has been compared to white chocolate or a cross between vanilla and pistachio. That beautiful purple color is its natural color.
