Friendly Donuts - Best. Vegan. Donuts. Ever!! - Donuts Near Me - Orange, California

This place is so bomb!!! The donuts are perfectly delicious and not overly sweet, and the customer service here is second to none! During my second trip here I was dying to try the white chocolate guava mochi donuts and also ordered the last maple bacon donut for my husband to try since he had never had one before. I told Alan this as he was taking my order and he insisted on making a fresh maple bacon donut for my husband since he had never tried it before! He was so sweet, and really went above and beyond to make my experience there extra special. He even threw in 5 free donuts after I ordered 6 donuts. He really put the Friendly in Friendly Donuts! Apart from the exceptional customer service, the donuts here are amazing as well. They have a crazy selection of donuts including a bunch of creative funky flavors that you wouldn't find anywhere else like the peanut butter açaí mochi donuts. These are just the right combo of fluffy and chewy in texture and the açaí and peanut butter flavors are perfectly balanced and not overpowering. The white chocolate guava mochi donuts were just as delicious with the guava icing really shining through. It's incredibly tropical and fragrant, just as I hoped it would be! Oh, and the maple bacon donut that Alan so kindly made fresh for my husband? It was so freakin delicious that he gobbled up half of the donut before I could even take a photo! He finished it before we even left the parking lot. It was a real treat. Friendly's is my new favorite donut shop, this place is seriously the best. read more

My new fav donut shop in OC!! This shop offers a wide variety of donuts. I love how they also have a coffee & tea menu which is very similar to coffee shops! It was pretty surprising to see that they offer london fog, spanish latte, and matcha latte, as many donut shops do not offer these drinks. The worker who helped us out was super friendly and made our entire experience amazing. He offered us donuts that were just freshly made and wow... it just melted in my mouth. Please stop by if you're craving something sweet!! read more

Only good things to say about Friendly Donuts!! They're open 24 hours and the staff are the sweetest. They're always available to give recommendations. I love their croissant wheels, in particular the past seasonal matcha + strawberry jam filling one! A great late night spot if you're craving something sweet read more

Honestly I always end up coming here after 11pm craving random things I should not be eating. The best donuts I've tried so far are the ube sugar coated, strawberry lemonade mochi donut, and the vegan sugar donut. I do wanna come back to try the croissants though. Also let's talk about customer service because it 1000% resonates with the name of this place. It's always the same guy but I don't know his name! He's there in the evenings and he always has on the coolest masks. Anyways I'd come back just to chat with him any day but the donuts really make it read more

My roommates and I have been obsessed with Friendly's since we discovered it two years ago, it's my absolutely favorite go-to place for donuts. All the donuts are so delicious, my favorites are the mochi donut and banana pudding donut (weekends only). There are so many great flavors, a lot of Asian-inspired ones too, and I love literally everything they have. The smoothies and drinks are also great! read more

I love that they are open so late. There is a wide variety of interesting flavors and they taste so good.

It's about time I write a review for this place, since I have gone 3 times. Every time I leave, I am satisfied (and somehow have an extra 3 donuts). I forget the name of the guy who is working there, but he is always there when we go and somehow manages to give us some extra free donuts He is also so friendly and in a great mood, even when it's almost like 12 am. Also the mochi donuts are really good! they are nice and chewy and the matcha ones are amazing! I tried something new this time and I got the cinnamon toast mochi donut and this m&m donut - both were good. read more

I concur with all the other yelpers in that Friendly Donuts lives to their shop name. A+ service, delicious, wide range of fresh donuts, and open 24 hours. I haven't stopped by during those late hours yet but I definitely will during one of those late night cravings. I recommend the ube donuts and any of the cake donuts. Or anything really. read more

I would highly suggest trying out their mochi donut if you're looking to try something new! I know they said to go early so that there are more options as well! read more

Went here to buy donuts for business. Staff was great and quality was awesome. Will go again

Amazing I would definitely go back when in in SoCal very friendly and always fresh donuts

My husband and I came across this donut shop on a whim and decided to check it out. We tried a cronut, standard chocolate bar, and a mochi donut and they were all fresh and delicious! I can see why their shop name is Friendly Donuts-- because it is just that! Our server Jacob was super friendly and one of nicest people I've ever met. He also recommended this delicious drink that had strawberry, matcha and oat milk. It is a must try! Thanks again Friendly Donuts and Jacob for being the best! read more

This place is awesome! I went one evening and tried the Thai green tea, guava and passionfruit mochi donuts and they were all amazing. I was telling my friends about it a day later and we all decided to go again. This time I tried the nutella cronut and creme brûlée donut as well. Once again delicious! I'm still craving those mochi donuts! The best I've had. So soft and chewy and flavorful. I wanted to order a drink but they were extremely busy so ill try that next time. Definitely looking forward to coming back. Also everyone who worked there was super friendly and helpful and even gave my friend extra stickers for her kids. Love this place! read more

Customer service was amazing. Went in a little before 9am they still had a lot to choose from. My cream cheese croissant was good. However my ube latte didn't taste like and ube latte so a little disappointed. read more

Stopped by after a family hike at peters canyon. We hiked around 4 miles so we needed to refuel and what better way than with a delicious donut. We have always wanted to try their Ube donut but it was sold out or not available last time we were here, so I called ahead and asked and we were happily surprised that they did. They had a lot of delicious looking donuts displayed and my daughter immediately gravitated to the cereal donuts. She picked out the captain crunch one! My husband got the ube with blueberry glaze and the Reese's peanut butter one. I used the yelp check in offer and got a free sprinkled donut. Yay yelp! This place deserved 5 stars because they really live up to their name. My daughter was way too excited to get her donut that she dropped on the floor. She was deviated. Luckily, the really sweet lady working said it's ok, just throw it away I'll give her a new one! She wrapped it up all nicely and gave it to my girl. She really made our day. Thank you for the friendly service. The donuts were so good! The Reese's is a must for any peanut butter lover. Imagine a delicious donut filled with creamy peanut butter topped with a chocolate glaze. The ube with blueberry glaze was delicious! Loved the subtle flavor of ube with the blueberry. When it's in the display case, it's easy to mistaken it for a blueberry one, so make sure you ask. My daughter gobbled up her donut so I think it's save to say, it was pretty darn good as well. My donut was a simple sprinkled cake donut. Can't ever go wrong with that. Also love that they accept cards! Usually donut spots only take cash and who nowadays always carries cash? Also, they don't charge you a fee for using it too! Super Friendly :) read more

Went on National Donut Day, and although the parking was a bit of a challenge due to the popularity, the speed of service was great! Employees were patient and answered questions (although it was obvious, who was newer, because they asked others for answers). They offer a large variety of donuts, including vegan and seasonal options. Personally, tried half a dozen vegan donuts and all of them were fabulous! Non vegan friends raved about their donuts too. Due to the craziness of National Donut Day, they were out of a few flavors so will be going back again! read more

Unfortunate because we loved this place and have so many traditions coming here. But at the end of the day it doesn't matter how good the donuts are, customer service is very important. The staff had no knowledge of pricing for their food. I was told different prices by each employee there. The owner was extremely rude, very insulting and it is for that reason that we will not longer be visiting this spot. No one who owns an establishment should ever speak to a customer the way she did. For those wondering, she called me stupid several times, even then I did not insult her. I asked her calmly to not name call me and she called me stupid again. I cannot support a business who treats their customers like that, I can't even imagine what she says to her employee. I want to support a small business who is more humble and treats their customers with respect. read more

My husband and I are new to OC and were searching for good donuts. Most seem to close at 1 pm in Tustin (Donut Star) or run out of everything. What the heck?! We don't get the hankering until late afternoon! So I did a Yelp search for donuts in the area. Up popped Friendly Donuts. It was 7 pm and they were still open. ! We drove the 55 fwy to get to this place. When we arrived, their shelves had a nice variety and our go-tos, custard filled with chocolate glaze and bear claw. We also tried a maple bar and a blueberry glazed adorned with a fresh blueberry. They just earned two more stars. Fresh and yummy. Soft and chewy yeast. Geeze I'm salivating writing about them. Especially since I have to cut back on sweets. We since found a prettier route via Hewes and/or Crawford Canyon. I bought a dozen for the office...all gone. There are two price points for a dozen. I got premium for just over $18. This doesn't include the fancies. The man and woman that have waited on me are both very nice. To me it's worth the drive. read more

We wanted to so badly love this place because of the reviews but sadly last night this place and the rude & obnoxious worker made it the WORST experience. First of all, i don't care if you hate your job or you hate customers, if you can clearly tell we have never been there & are asking basic questions... why does your attitude have to come into play? Horrible customer service & just 0 interpersonal skills from the young BOY working. The donuts were 2/5, just not great. i know in the past i have had no issues so this was a total bummer ! Will not be back. read more

Walked in with the wife and kids. Saw a "Glory Hole" mug in front and thought, that's weird. Looked up at the menu and saw "Fuckin' Bagel" on the menu board. Turned around and walked out. Not judging, just not for me and my kids. read more

Sweet! Great tasting donuts. Good for treating the office. I should've gotten the pretty lady's number too.

This place is amazing. The donuts are way beyond average donuts. They're not only delicious, their creativity is incredible.

This place has by far the best selection of any donut shop I've ever visited. Over a year ago I discovered I have some food allergies. I have choices here! This store actually has gluten-free donuts and vegan donuts that taste like regular donuts. Their display case is filled with a beautiful presentation of highly imaginative, beautifully decorated donuts. You won't be disappointed. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Crème Brûlée donut is my daughter's favorite. I like the vegan apple fritter. read more

It was either this or DK's Donuts, but I like to support smaller businesses. They have unique selections (see pictures); their cronuts look very appetizing & they have a donut called "Homer Simpson Donut"! We got a blueberry donut and their ube donut; they taste similar, but ube has a different consistency. Both good. I appreciate the blueberry donut not being overly sweet. Please please please do not get their "bacon ham and cheese croissant". (See pics) I rarely find myself laughing at food, because who does that? But man, that is one sad looking croissant! I'll leave a tip on Yelp as well as another PSA haha read more

Might be my new favorite donut place! My friend and I drove all the way from Rancho to Orange just for these and it was definitely worth the trip. I got all of the April 2021 mochi donut flavors and they did not disappoint. My all time favorite is still the White Guava, but a close second was the Thai Tea. My friend is gluten free and unfortunately they only offered vegan donuts BUT we were lucky enough to come when they were making free samples of their gluten free donut which they said might be releasing within the next month(s). They honestly tasted exactly like a regular cake donut, which is really hard to replicate. Hoping they come out with the gluten free ones as a regular item soon because they were sooo good. Had to commend the employees there as well. Each time I've gone they were extremely friendly and welcoming. I've never had a bad experience and I'm sure I never will because their customer service is through the roof. If I could support them opening a second store, I truly would because nothing is as good as Friendly Donuts! Hoping to come back again soon! read more

SOOO GOOD!! I feel like I've been sleeping on Friendlys!! My sister got me hooked on Mochinuts over the summer and we tried different places, one day she showed me Friendly's IG and all the yummy Mochinuts they had to offer! We've been going over the last few months and we are hooked! I try to go to Friendly's every time we are in the area because they are just that good! Also the staff is great and makes sure you have super fresh donuts! I love that every month they changed the mochinut flavors! One of my top favorites is the Pumpkin Spice! Super crumbly on top but the texture is on point! I didn't get to try the November flavors but we got to try Decembers and as usual I love them!! Most recently, my sister brought me the poptart donut, the raspberry jam inside isn't the fake tasting typical jelly donut filling LOL. She loves their ube donuts as well! So far in December I've had hot coco and chai latte! I just warm them up for a few seconds and its heaven!! I really can't wait to go back and try other flavors! They are also trying out new vegan donuts and surprisingly I really enjoyed the cinnamon sugar one!! It didn't taste heavy and thick, just a solid cake donut if I didn't know it was vegan! I hope they branch out with more flavors! Great mochinuts and great service! I'm a fan! ^___^ read more
