Beware!!! 3 weeks ago I went to get my brake pads replaced because it was making grinding noise. I was told that the pads are almost out. Quoted me 140$. Yesterday (4/13/2019) the grinding sounds came back. I was going to bring the car back to them but they were closed. I decided to check the brake myself. I took the wheels off and realized that the shop never changed my brake pads!!!!. the old one was still on there and they charged me for replacement. 2 pads were completely out, and it damaged my rotor as well. read more

These guys live up to their business name. I totally suggest using them for your car repairs.I have been using them for over 12 years now. (My 2006 gmc truck saw ONLY them...never even the dealer lol) If they can't fix it...they will let you know up front and try to suggest a place for you to go close by. I don't feel they have ever tried to take advantage or overcharge. They have a small waiting room with a TV and large assortment of reading material. If its just a short visit...there is a dollar store and Del Taco in lot to kill time. If its a longer visit and you're up to it...there is a Target a couple blocks up. This place should be called SUPER FAST because their speed and service deserve that adjective. I called asking about their smog cert price $50 total which is lower than other places. He asked me details about my car and made sure a cert was what I needed. Definitely good for my peace of mind. Drove to the shop, which is behind the Valvoline oil change shop. Don't take your immediate right turn with the arrows as that will take you to Valvoline. Head towards the Jazzercise and you'll see the shop on the right. I was greeted within seconds of entering the waiting area. SUPER friendly and made sure I was getting the service I needed (my car is 2015 but out of state so I needed a smog cert to register it in CA). He told me it would take 10 minutes and I went to Del Taco for lunch. Came back and took a seat to watch some Direct TV satellite channels in the waiting area as he took care of a customer on the phone. Waiting area was very clean with lots of magazines and cold AC! He explained the certification process, told me he sent it to the DMV but also gave me a hard copy which I wanted. Excellent experience and great price. Honest, skilled and reasonable prices. My car is 18 years old (with 41,000 miles) and it hadn't had a checkup in a couple of years. Friendly Automotive had been recommended to me so I took my car in, expecting them to find a lot of things that needed repair and present me with a big bill. A dishonest mechanic could have taken advantage of me but this was not the case at Friendly Automotive. The mechanic gave my car a thorough going over and all he found was one of my brake lights was burned out. He changed the bulb, topped off the fluids and checked the brakes, belts, etc. The bill was $65. I will never take my car anywhere else. read more

First off, this review is long overdue. I needed to get my front brakes replaced and the last place I checked out wanted nearly $350 even though I didn't need my rotors resurfaced or replaced. So when I found Friendly Automotive Service on Yelp, I gave them a call. I set up an appointment with the owner, who was super nice. They replace my brakes for something around $200. The owner chatted with me and it was so nice to know that I was supporting a family-owned business. Even more encouraging for me was to go to an auto repair place as a woman and still feel like he was being forthright, honest, didn't treat me like an idiot, and gave me a reasonable price for the work required. I ran into this place the other day to get my smog finished on my van and while the service was decent, they did move quite a lot slower to actually do the test than I thought it should have been dealing with their phones. I wish there were more people on staff to manage what they are doing. They are decently friendly but it wasn't a great experience. read more

These people are the best. I arrived for a walk-in smog check at F.A.S.T. 15 minutes before closing time on a Friday. I told them I could come back the following morning if necessary, but they happily told me they could get it done right then.
