I'm sorry to have to say this, but be warned, these guys are totally incompetent and are not to be trusted. We had them dig a new septic field in our backyard last summer, at vast expense. Like everyone in our area we have high water table. Disregarding this they dug a small pit for the septic field and placed the infiltrators literally underwater. I'm no expert but even I thought this was not going to work. The "boss" came by to survey the situation and simply dumped gravel on top of it and cover it with dirt in order to obscure the underlying problem. 9 months later our system backed up. Our septic tank is taking on water that's backing up from the septic field. We've had our septic tank pumped twice in one week. I notified them of this problem and they initially said they'd come and survey the situation and offer a solution. But then they just ghosted me. After trying to contact them many times and finally threatening legal action, I finally got an email from the owner, David Friedlander, claiming to offer a solution. But he has since gone silent and never came by. We are now forced to hire an attorney to try to recover the cost of having to repeatedly pump our tank and fixing our septic field which is flowing backwards into the tank. Be warned. read more

We decided what we wanted done and were told we'd have an estimate within a week. That was months ago. We are very unhappy with the work (which is NOT) completed by Friedlander Construciton and by David Friedlander. He has some good people working for him that have come and tried to complete the job but it is he himself that is not an honest business man and does not match action to his words. Really the only reason this review wasn't posted weeks ago is some of his workers seem to want to help. At first he will seem very nice and we (me and my Fiancee) were very happy to have found him and be able to have a champion to fix our dream house. However some of our friends pointed out discrepancies in the original estimate (electrical and plumbing materials were way too high - 10K for some electrical cables?) but we figured that perhaps it would be washed out in the labor costs (which were separate) and were too happy to close on our house to care so much about details. We would give him the money and he would give us the house as we agreed upon. That was the first problem - trusting him to honor the agreement. I will be fair here... he did complete SOME of the work. Enough to get a large check. After that we have gotten no real movement in MONTHS now. If you want to over pay for materials (and I am talking by 2-10X) then use him. If you want to have your 2 month project take 6+ and counting now - with no end in sight, then use him. If you want to have your dream house left in shambles while he tries to collect money from anyone else that will hand it to him - then use him. If not I would never hire this company and especially the owner David Friedlander. I'll go into detail here since we are getting SO SCREWED by this guy (David Friedlander) and have lost the entire summer with our Dream House while he takes whatever money he can with these fake reviews. We just don't want other people to get ripped off like we are. 1. He does not complete the work. We hired him in February and he said this would be completed in 2 months. It is end of September now and heating system is sitting there. It has been over 8 months and we still can't even use the place while we just pay mortgage, taxes and bills on a useless house. 2. He doesn't return calls/texts. The only satisfaction has been honestly some of his workers because I think they feel sorry for us and want to finish the job even though David himself has shown no real interest in completing the work he agreed to. 3. He uses phony materiel numbers in his estimate and took a BIG piece of the payment based on them. This is something that a buyer should be aware of and NEVER give this guy any money in advance until the WHOLE project is completed. We are now finding out that things were not completed that he has been paid for (like electrical/ plumbing etc) and it has been impossible to get any movement now that he has $ in hand. 4. He outright lies. He has said to me personally (in the rare moment I was able to get a response) that the kitchen counter or windows were ordered and should be there shortly. I had a patio done by Dave's crew about 2 years ago. When dealing with Dave, he was always responsive and helpful. His crew came and did a nice job on my patio. Unfortunately, once his crew was done, the remaining cement they had from my patio, they packed it along the sides of my new patio, left huge chunks of dried cement all over my yard and left. In the midst of the patio being put in I was going through a divorce and it has sadly sat this way the past 2 years with the cement piled around the entire patio. read more

We have used them to do multiple projects at our properties. Ranging from small concrete jobs to larger excavation jobs. Frank one of their foreman is very nice to deal with and very thorough. They were very easy to deal with one changes came up in the job. Pricing is always very reasonable. All the jobs were completed within time frame allowed. David Friedlander got back with a great fair quote, sent his manager Adrian to the site and gave us a final flat fee for entire job - gravel, scraping and etc. The crew was amazing. Nice hardworking guys. They got to work and completed the job so quickly and professionally I could not be happier and will contact them again for future landscaping needs.
