Said there was nothing to indicate an oil leak. Throughout the week, the washer still smells of gear oil, and on Saturday morning my husband turned the washing machine on its side, unscrewed a cover, and there is gear oil leaking out from the bottom. The agitator did not need to come off; nothing would be visible. Parts can only be accessed from the bottom of the machine. Sent photos and a text to Handler, and they thanked me for the update and said nothing else. Not sure why I paid for a service call/diagnostic fee to tell me nothing was wrong, when clearly something is very wrong. Part on order. App is easy to use, and tech was on time and extremely polite, however: Will absolutely not use this service again, or recommend.

After a brief inspection Brian announced the price would be $350 plus a $25 fee to use my part (which cost $25, btw). At that point, I couldn't really say no so I authorized the charge. He was here about 50 minutes total. I didn't receive a break out of charges, just a receipt for the total amount. So, excellent service but I believe the charge was quite high for a short repair.

Making the appointment was easy and a call from the technician ten minutes before his arrival was appreciated. Rami was courteous, efficient, and went straight to work on our Kitchen Aid dishwasher. He tested various parts of the dishwasher and told us the problem was the control board. We knew the machine was more than a decade old, so when he told us the part to be replaced was discontinued, and even if it was available it was a costly part, he was honest and said the best option would be to buy a new dishwasher and gave us his personal recommendations, which are important since he does appliance repairs and knows about reliability, durability, and repairability. The reviews are true, Master Service Appliance Repair is the real deal. In a time when it's hard to find competent technicians who are efficient and honest and know what they're doing, Rami is a standout.

1-Star Review for RJ Appliances NJ INC…read more I had one of the most disappointing and frustrating experiences with RJ Appliances NJ INC during a recent repair of my Miele refrigerator. When the technician first came to inspect the unit, they claimed to have done a full diagnostic and gave us a final quote of around $1,000 (after tax). We agreed, thinking everything had been properly assessed. But when they came back to do the actual repair, the story completely changed. They suddenly "discovered" that the fridge door wouldn't close properly and said we would need to replace the entire door -- for several thousand dollars! After we refused that ridiculous suggestion, they said they could "repair" the door instead, but only if we paid an extra $850. At that point, with the refrigerator already taken apart, we had no real choice but to accept. This whole process felt misleading and unfair. If the technician really did a full inspection, how did such a major issue appear only later? It seemed like a classic case of bait-and-switch pricing -- quoting one number and then inflating the cost after we had already committed. We expected professionalism and transparency, especially since RJ Appliances is associated with Miele service. Instead, we were left feeling pressured, overcharged, and deceived. Warning to others: Be extremely cautious before agreeing to any quote from this company. Make sure everything is documented and confirmed in writing before you proceed. Very disappointing experience -- definitely would not recommend RJ Appliances NJ INC.

I know, I know. Groan. Corny -- but bear with me here. In an age where traditional brick and mortar repair shops are elbowing each other into oblivion -- and household appliances and gadgets fail quickly due to planned obsolescence and generally poor quality, it's refreshing to find the one repair outfit in the area that survived as the fittest of its kind. Ben is the man with the plan here. Courteous, knowledgeable, fully stocked with all manner of sucking devices, from whole house units to little hand held ones. Advice on purchases is free and he does not push a particular product or the highest priced model. He asks about your needs and will tailor a solution, even if it means a low price sale, refurbish of an old machine or no sale at all. Old school. My 20 year old Miele canister vac needed some minor repairs. Ben ordered the parts and serviced the unit, thoroughly cleaned it and threw in some bags for well under $100. A bargain in my book considering the vac costs a grand new. He had it back to me in 3 days, as promised. Forget box stores or the internet for your vacuum needs. This place is the real deal and worth a look if you live in the area, or even if you have to travel a bit. No surprise that everyone who bothered to write a review rates Ben at 5 stars. Top Tip: on site parking is tight but accessible. Call ahead to describe your issue. It will save you time.
