Just up the hill from my nail salon. Have meant to stop by in the past and finally dropped in last week after an appointment for something refreshing on a warm day. Greeted friendly and not rushed to order. Friendly and helpful staff. Scanned the menu and decided on a iced herbal tea to avoid caffeine-at 5:30pm. So many wonderful selections to pick from. Can't remember the actual name but went with notes I knew I would enjoy and was familiar with. Hibiscus ginger waited for the tea to brew and enjoyed looking at the current art exhibit on display. Quaint shop with seating to enjoy you beverage of choice but also lots of selections of leafs to bring home to brew along with local brands like Sugimoto matcha.

I was looking for a place that had a large tea selection and oh boy did I find it! I walked in and was greeted by this lovely human being who was welcoming and gave me a make yourself at home vibes. The menu was organized and categorized by different types of teas you could want. I was trying to decide between 3 different black teas and she let me smell the leaves to decide which one would satisfy the tastebud gods that are here to serve...anyways, I went with this black tea with a rich honey creamy note and oh my was it hitting every single corner of my tongue in pure delight. You must complete this side quest and come here to try all the teas. You might become addicted to trying it out. Needless to say, I have to come back here every time I visit Washington now.

Super cute, super cozy tea shop. Lots of really interesting mixes and i love that they serve in french presses. We got there in the morning and i think it was the owner gave us the coolest tea tasting experience. FOR FREE. AMAZING. You can really tell how passionate she is about tea and we learned so much and had such an engaging convo. And then in the afternoon they had a tea/crafting session so we chilled, crocheted, and had some tea. Like I said, super cozy.

Tasty tea!!! Very kind service and knowledgeable, hard working staff. The ambiance is cute and cozy. There are only a few tables so nab a spot if and when you can. They do have a strongly encouraged mask policy too - so come prepared or be ready to put one of the provided ones on. Very cool community events that they host too!

such thoughtful, tasty blends. recently i've been loving their "starship iris" blend, it's so delightfully smoky. also didn't know it was queer owned which is awesome. will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic neighborhood treasure in Wallingford. Excellent education from store staff about variety of teas. Plenty of tables to sit and enjoy but also take out is very easy. They have excellent snacks from a local bakery. The great place to come and work or enjoy conversation or pick up some tea you have never tried before.

Tea Connoisseur- finding the neighborhood tea gem shop evoked the feeling of utter joy. I am from Darjeeling and sipping quality Darjeeling tea here made my day! Staff is very friendly and very cute wizard ambience. I will be back again with friends to try their wide collection of teas.

Iced tea, chess club in the outdoor patio area.

I recently learned of this place through Eventbrite (they offer various events at the cafe and definitely recommend checking out their upcoming events). In particular, I learned about their chess club and decided to give it a try. Chess club was super fun. It was a relaxed and laid back atmosphere. 4 of us showed up, and one of the barista's was super helpful at explaining the rules of chess and offered to play with us as well. We ended up getting our iced tea and playing chess outside bc it was a nice evening out. The tea was phenomenal and they had a good variety of flavors. The barista was also helpful at helping me narrow in on what I want (ended up getting a tropical fruit tea and 10/10 would recommend!). Overall, lovely experience. Can't wait to go again!

Treats too! So excited to try this place!

My husband and I came here during the summer of 2020 during COVID. Such a bummer we didn't have a good experience because we're avid tea lovers! We go to the NW tea festival every year and drink tea daily. It sure is fishy that EVERY single review except this is 5 stars! We had a super weird experience. Staff was not friendly. They didn't acknowledge us for quite a while- no hello, no goodbye, we had to ask to even order anything. The tea was nothing to write home about. The interior was bland and not well thought out. I never give low reviews but it was such a weird experience! There was only 1 seat so we had to sit on each other's laps. Would not return.

Showing off a haul of tea and things I bought. There is a sharing cup for gongfu cha, a few 1oz bags and a variety of sample sized bags.

It was so clean and slick. The menu had milk tea, tea latte, flavored tea, pink salt cheese crema, alongside 10 different toppings. Sugar and ice level were customizable. I ordered the crema mango tea and the signature milk tea. The baristas were helpful. They took the ordered and prepared the drinks in few minutes. The mango crema was so delicious. The bobas were sweet, soft and chewy. I loved the flavor so much, finished the whole drink in 10 minutes.

You really can't go wrong with any of the drinks but my all time favorites are the tieguanyin oolong milk tea with toppings and the strawberry milk tea, which I believe they have now rebranded to strawberry smoothie. Sugar is adjustable which is great because I love my drinks less sweet. I got the strawberry smoothie and bff milk tea this time, which I believe is black milk tea with egg pudding and grass jelly, and I added egg pudding. So delicious and creamy, and the smoothie does not give off an artificial fruit taste. One thing that was off-putting to me was the signage indicating their kiosk. The makeshift, handwritten message to turn around and use the kiosk seems passive aggressive and gives off the message that the workers do not want to talk to you. Other than that, we got our drinks pretty fast since it wasn't busy near closing, which was when I went.

There was a large selection of caffeine free herbal teas. The teas are all lined up on the counter allowing you to smell the sample jars. I decided on a cup of West Cape Chai and a slice of lemon cake (one of their many pastries). The chai is a nice and polite balance of sweet and spicy flavors. After ordering, I went to the lower level to find seating. It was upon entering this room that I was greeted by a sweet meow from a little cat. Her name is Miu Miu, and this is her house. She promptly followed me to my table and after testing me out, made herself comfortable in my lap. This series of events was so unexpected, yet so welcomed. As for the lower parlour itself - it also serves as a museum, giving history of this landmark. It has an authentic antique charm with comfortable furniture and decor that invites you in. This tea room doesn't try to be anything it's not, and that's what makes it so special. I lost track of the time I spent here enjoying my tea. The barista reminded me twice that I can get more hot water for my tea whenever I was ready, so I did, getting the most out of my loose leaf tea blend. There are only positive things to say. The bathroom was clean and spacious, the interior might surprise you in a good way, the prices were more than reasonable, and it's a place to find peace. I've wanted to come here for a long time, now that I've finally come in, I have a new favorite for my trips to Seattle.

As part of the Uwajimaya food court, it's easy to get in and get out or grab a drink for the road, plus there's validated parking. They also have sandwiches, soup, and donuts. I'd stick to just the drinks though. Plenty of other options in the food court. While I thought some drinks were good, I thought the overall experience was average. I ordered on at 5pm on a weekday and noticed the "Happy Hour Specials" so I decided to also snag a sandwich. Well, that advertisement was a lie. Their menu advertises 20% off for the combo of a sandwich and a drink while their digital screen shows 10% off with a soup (without the limited happy hour). In the end, I paid about $20 with tax and tip for a sandwich and a drink so they clearly did not honor the happy hour. It's not much at the end of the day, but false advertisement is a bad user experience. Overall, the service is very mediocre. Menu does not make it evident that sugar and ice levels can be adjusted and the employees cannot be bothered to ask. Same with any milk substitutions. Once you receive the drink, it's evident that sweetness can be adjusted at least, still unsure about the ice. Plus the experience with the combo showed apathy. Turkey Grilled Cheese Sandwich - I had ordered food before but saw the happy hour and went for a sandwich. My other food was ready quickly while this grilled cheese took close to 25 minutes. My drink was ready 10 minutes before so I was just left waiting. It's a solid sandwich with a strong amount of cheese but lacking in the protein. Not worth the price. Uhi Empress Milk Tea w/ Boba - first of all, boba is pretty solid. Flavorful with fair sugar coating and chewy, only lacking a bounce. Uhi is another purple yam like ube but originates from Hawaii. Flavor is very similar, so ube and taro enjoyers will appreciate this drink. Jardin Pink Milk Tea - as one of their signatures, I knew I had to try it. The flavor is a watered down lychee jelly and while lychee jelly as a topping tastes fine, this liquid form just tastes off. Not very sweet as a drink but also lacking flavor. More like water with mashed up lychee jelly without the texture. I would honestly never get this drink again, but the others were good. Banana Breeze Milk Tea - good old fashioned banana milk! If you've ever had the little cartons or banana milk tea from a spot like Boba Guys, this is very similar. Banana is flavorful and sweet but the tea helps prevent a sugar overload, so the drink is balanced.
