Went on a Tuesday for their special Tuesday tacos $1.99 instead of their regular price taco 3.50. We were disappointed our taco meat was cold. We ordered different tacos too and they were all cold; asada, pastor, chicharrón, and birria. I did see their meat is in food containers and they only heat up the tortillas so that's why it was cold. They staff and place was nice just the cold food ruined it for us. The horchata was delicious. read more

First time here. When we started our order they didn't have anything available we ordered. No shrimp, no spinach, and no Mexican hot chocolate. Everything that was on the menu they were out of. Food was not good. Could have just made it at home. They charged extra for the eggs which would have been okay if the food was good. Well at least we tried it and know not to go back. There were flies in there. I wish I wouldn't have wasted my money there read more

Frida’s Taqueria - Chilaquiles - Tacos Near Me - Clovis, California

The agua frescas is only good thing here everything else you're better off going to eat at any other local taqueria the food is cold and greasy! Adobada is super greasy and cold the food is sitting in warmers for too long. I got a quesadilla for my child and she didn't want to eat it because it was cold. Overall the taste isn't there, the place is nice but would not recommend sorry not sorry. read more

I really wanted to like this place but it was extremely underwhelming. For $3.50 a taco, you'd expect some flavor but there wasn't much to their tacos. Meat didn't have much flavor. Got the asada fries and it was sooooo bland. The meat was super tough and chewy. The service was good though. Their agua frescas were alright, it was more artificial tasting rather than refreshing. read more

Food was very basic and bland. Ordering was very odd. Order and pay online line then stand in another and tell them what you want on your order. Made zero sense. The restaurant was full of flies which was totaling disgusting. Floors were dirty and sticky. Place was a hot mess all around. Won't last just like all the other places that have occupied that spot. There is way better Mexican food spots in Clovis than this. Don't waste your time. read more

The workload is not great, when you first enter there are two lines, 1) on your right hand side you line up to order food, on a Saturday midday this took me about 15-20 minutes to reach the counter. After ordering, if you ordered tacos/burritos, then you get into line #2) on your left side, which the wait is an additional 15 minutes before you hand your receipt to the food preppers to start making your food. In total, I waited about 40 minutes for my food, and the wait is not worth the end product. Guacamole had a definite oxidized taste, like lots was prepped before hand and being served throughout the day, and actually deems almost identical to the store bought premade guac you can get at costco. Tacos are $3.50 per taco and they're small, about the size of the palm of your hand. The meats are kept in bins a la Chipotle and scooped onto the tacos, they dont regrill the meats before adding it onto the taco, there's no fresh grilled taste at all. Their salsa bar also doesn't have cilantro or onions??? Who does this. This restaurant is trying to do too much, testing to be a proper brunch sit down spot, a taco/burrito joint, and a bar. read more

Delicious food and amazing service!! Very kind and welcoming staff. Restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was spectacular! Enjoyed the music, food, and hospitality. 10/10!! read more

Tacos Tuesday and Taco Thursday, $1.99 Tacos which is amazing because the quality of the meat, the char and the seasoning will have you not caring that the line is out the door and around the corner. The carne asada fries and the quesadilla are all so flavorful and delicious. If you come with 3 or more people I suggest getting it to go, it does get crowded. read more

I want to start off by saying we spent $70 this afternoon for 2 adults and toddler, and the food wasn't great. My steak omelette tasted like the oily grease from a blacktop. Wife's chicken poblano crepes didn't have poblano sauce. They ran out! lol And the kiddos yogurt parfait and aqua fresca as was probably the best thing about the brunch. This place needs to have better prep and execution for the price point. This can't be just a casual taqueria when presenting this style of restaurant. read more

This place was mid, the food was bland and felt like their condiments are to compensate for the lack of flavor. I ordered the asada, chicharrón and carnitas. Asada had no flavor unless you put salsa or guac. The chicharrón is the slinky kind not crunchy, and the carnitas just was so oily. Literally go anywhere else. read more

Tacos were absolutely delicious! Since it was Taco Tuesday today, they were just $2 each -- such a great deal, you can't find a better price anywhere else! read more

Excellent burritos and tacos. Can't beat the two dollar tacos on Tuesdays and the salsa bar is full of fresh salsa, fresh cucumbers, radishes all you need to put on your tacos. The torta are excellent, and the burritos are like two meals in one. read more

2 stars Because the meat was cold in my tacos, drinks where water down and your wallet comesout empty.... I understand the restaurant is in clovis, but let's keep it true to the culture and add the rite amount of spices Alittle fly control would due wonders aswell!!! read more

We came in really wanting to like this place... big mistake. My husband ordered 3 tacos (2 alpastor, 1 birria) and somehow ended up with what tasted like guacamole tacos. Oh, and that al pastor they proudly show on their menu coming off the trompo? Yeah... not here. The French toast I had was "meh" at best. The only thing they nailed was the Agua Fresca -- probably because it didn't come from the kitchen. Meanwhile, flies were having their own little fiesta all over the place, and the floors and tables looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. If you're looking for good food and a clean space, keep looking. read more

The price: fair, $12 a burrito in Clovis isn't a bad deal. The taste: bland. As we said "not bad for white people Mexican food". One comment "the birria tastes like it was seasoned with sink water." Another comment: "I could get better tasting stuff from Aresenio's." The biggest flaws: there is one line to pay (they don't care what you're ordering, because they don't take notes). Then there is a separate longer line that so far, continues out the door for pick-up. When you get to the front you explain how you want your food prepared, which is why that line is slower. The poor guy has to leave the food prep area and walk around to the kitchen which is disconnected from it, so he can add rice and beans. I may have missed my shot to ask for a cup of water, as I didn't see a fountain or cups, that's on me. In general, the whole thing was fine. I'm making comments so they can adapt or adjust while in their opening month. It's a great spot, the employees are clearly busy, and it's nice to have a new place. read more

Went tonight to grab dinner with the family and it was worth the wait! The food was amazing and service was friendly and had both lines moving as fast as possible, and the vibe was chill and welcoming. Definitely my new go-to taco place. Can't wait to come back and try more from the menu! read more

I called in an order for nine tacos with a variety of meat and went to pick it up. I threw in a chocolate cake as well. I pointed at a chocolate cake with a cream topping and the hostess put in a solid extremely dry chocolate cake in which was five dollars. And after arriving home, I opened my plate of tacos excited to have dinner with my family and come to find out. It's just Tortilla and meat on every single of the nine tacos . I called in to ask if this is the way they come or not, and the cashier asked if I had made a mistake by not seeing if they put the cilantro on onions and avocado on the side which they did not. A mistake is a mistake but when you try to put it on a customer that turns into something different. $50 for extremely small tacos is already pretty pricey. I will not be returning here. And and she offered me a drink for their mistake and asked me to drive back. I would not recommend this place nor am I ever going back take your business elsewhere. read more

I was impressed until we got our food. The ladies working the cashier were super friendly but the cooks were the problem. We sat down to wait for our food and the cooks were starring at us non stop, we get our food and one of the cooks is hiding in the Corner pointing at us and laughing telling the other 2 something then they all looked at us and laughed. Felt like I was in a highschool movie. Not the mention the food was mediocre. All the meat tasted like it was either made in a crock pot, or it was one of those prepackaged meats you can get from Walmart and just microwave. Definitely woudknt go back read more

Let me start with the beautiful place they have decoration is beautiful ! The guy who made my tacos was so nice! Tacos are good, and they have a salsa bar which is a plus ! Chips are pricy $6.99 for a medium size container! Horchata wasn't good, it' was water with sugar, and it was $6.49 !Maintanance isnt upto the standard of the place ! tables are not clean and salt shakers are empty. read more

I'm from SoCal and have been to TJ and Mexico many times. So I was extremely happy to find out that this place was opening.I went today, and the food was pretty good. The place was clean and there were plenty of seats. Ordered the asada and adobada tacos and asada mulita. I also had the asada fries. Everything was pretty authentic and the asada meat was delicious. The adobada was a little bit sweet but not bad. Make sure to order cebollita asadas and chiles toreados as you pick up your tacos. You can tell they are working on getting their pick up system down but I'm sure it will be better in a month or two. The salsas were spicy and had good flavor. read more

I came in on Saturday at 11am, I ordered two tacos and an iced matcha. I also asked for a water. They stated they only have bottled water I didn't want to pay the extra 1.20 so I just figured my drink would be done by the time I had my tacos. Nope, my tacos were done before my matcha . It appears that they forgot about my matcha. I had to go up to the counter and ask about my drink - they then blankly looked at me - then started making it / I halfway done with my tacos - so once again I ask for a to go cup with water - I said I don't care if it's tap just something to drink with my food since my matcha wasn't ready. They denied having any water - I asked how do you make all your drinks and they said we only have hot water. Finally my matcha was done - no apologies no let's make this right - just that same blank look for the woman at the counter. I liked my tacos - but not worth my money and frustration. Frida would not approve. Especially on a hot 107 degree Fresno day. If you want to keep customers treat them right the 1st time - you only get 1 chance to make a good impression. read more

So we came to this place after they just opened and we really liked it but this time it was even better than the first time. The asada meat seemed different (in a good way) and the tortillas were hand made this time around. The aguas Fresca were delicious as usual and the tacos de Chicharron were incredibly good but very spicy. Definitely would recommend Frida's! read more

Great food and service. Tacos were fully loaded. The strawberry line Aguayo Fresca was fabulous. The price was more than reasonable.

We came here on a whim a few days after they opened because our friend visiting from Escondido was shocked when he saw their sign and said it was his favorite taco spot at home in the SD area. The menus include breakfast but nothing indicates it's not an all day option, which was sad to my toddler when we tried to order them after their cut off time (not sure what time it ends) because pancakes are his favorite and we told him he could get one after seeing it on the menu. The service was fine, it was extremely loud inside and it felt as if the staff felt like we should know where/how to order. The restaurant was loud and the people at the register would talk down or away from you which made it hard to hear and understand where to go. After you wait in line to order & pay, you go over to the pick up counter and tell them what you want on your items. The large sneeze guard in a loud space makes it hard for you & the cooks to hear each other. I think some signage indicating your options at the second counter would be helpful when it's loud so you can read what you can get. You have to buy bottled water as there is no tap water available. Kind of odd, we don't like buying bottled water. I think some signage and clear instruction for first timers would be a good change. Food was good, we are happy to go back. As non meat eaters, we enjoyed the soyrizo option and our friend said his tacos tasted the way they do at the location back home. Next time I would like to try the soyrizo option as a burrito. Hopefully when we do things will have chilled out a bit and flow more smoothly. read more
