Tacos = 4 1/2 / 5 Honestly still some of the best tacos I've had in town. I like that semi-charred flavored taste of the tortilla and meat. Service was great and friendly. The parking lot is quite big and accommodating to a lot of people, and I have seen large crowds many a night when I drove by. This isn't the first time I've had tacos from this spot, but it's the first time I reviewed. For those wondering, the taco truck has upgraded and looks much nicer/cleaner, sporting a red-orange look with an updated menu and texts on the truck. This taco truck is parked at the Valero gas station in Old Town Clovis on the southeast corner of Clovis Avenue and 5th Street. I like that they top the tacos with some chopped cabbage, in addition to the diced onions and chopped cilantro for added a little crunch. The salsas are very good. They raise the flavor profiles of the grilled meats. I appreciated that they asked if I wanted the tripas (tripe) on my taco extra crunchy because they should always be prepared that way in my opinion. In addition to the tripas, I ordered my other tacos with pollo (chicken), asada (beef cubed steak), and birria de res (stewed beef). My plate of tacos came with salsa rojas (red), salsa verde (green), and pureed guacamole. All the taco meats were well-seasoned, juicy, and flavorable. If I were to pick a favorite, I would say it was the extra crispy tripas. In my opinion, the tacos at this taco truck are tastier (not to mention cheaper) than anything you can get at a dine-in restaurant in Old Town Clovis. They were solid, although not spectacular. I wanted to sample a few meats so I tried the mulita de chorizo, tacos de asada and tacos de birria. I understand why this place is so popular. Simple taco truck in a gas stations lot so parking is a bit hard so easier if you're getting gas....but the food was definitely fulfilling. The cabbage gives it a crunchy bigger taco feel and their salsa is pretty good. Not spicy imo but it taste great. Searched through Yelp for some good tacos as we were staying at a nearby hotel. Tacos Corona came up as a pretty good choice. There is no address on Yelp as of now (April 2022) so we called the number listed for the address to plug into the GPS. The nice gentleman who answered the phone confirmed the address as 521 Clovis Ave. -- this taco truck shares a lot with a Valero gas station. The menu has lots of options for tacos, burritos, burgers and hot dogs. Prices are very reasonable also. We ordered 4 carne asada and 1 carnitas tacos. The meats were seasoned nicely and the salsas that came on the side were good. I prefer onions and cilantro on my tacos and while both were added -- I didn't care for the layer of cabbage. It adds a crunch factor but I don't agree that it pairs well as such. In summary, I would recommend checking this taco truck out. Finding a great taco spot in Clovis has been challenging. Tacos Corona has been our go-to and honestly I'd put it up there next to any other taco truck in Fresno/Clovis. Not only is their food tasty but at $2 a taco they come in very competitive. You can find them right in Old Town in the Valero gas Station lot off 5th and Clovis Ave. I recommend the carnitas, ask for extra crispy, they actually do it here. The tacos are a good size with a great ratio of meat to tortilla. We typically call in our order and it's ready when we arrive. I'm SO glad we have such a solid taco spot near us! read more

Okay no joke this place is absolutely amazing. Walking by it or driving by it you might not think much of it, BUT inside that taco truck are the best Asada tacos and Asada burritos. Parking is a bit of a challenge because it is inside a gas station parking lot, and on a busy street. But the service was fantastic there is some outdoor seating. Tried this place last night 11/29 and it was so delicious decided to have it again tonight 11/30 I've only had the asada but it's just that good I haven't wanted to try anything else yet. The valley is known for tacos and we have our abundance of taco trucks here in the Fresno/Clovis area, so it takes a lot for a new joint to be called the "best tacos" someone has ever had. First tip- they do not sell drinks but you can purchase those inside the shell station. Second- They open at 8AM and serve breakfast burritos- which is even better. I have yet to try though Third- as others have said, they do accept cards and apple pay Fourth- for all of you party people: they are open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night until 2am. You. Are. Welcome. Back to our experience: I got 3 carne asada tacos and my husband got 2 tripas and 2 lengua tacos. The taco meat was fresh and seasoned so perfectly! The green salsa had a little kick and the guac salsa was a tasty treat to add on top. The tortillas were even the perfect cooked texture and really embraced the juices of the meat. They were so good, I wanted more but did not want to lose my meal. My husband, who is usually super judgy about food, said that his tacos were flavorful and that he already wanted to come back. I went on to tell friends and family about this place. 5 days later.... on Monday.... we went back to make sure it was not our hunger telling us this place was legit but this time we brought teenagers- who are dang picky. The prices are really good, and the tacos are generous with the meat and not greasy (plus or minus depending who you ask ha) but we found them too salty =(. Got the adobada and asada. I couldn't finish the adobada and gave it to my husband .. I didn't like the flavoring. If I come back I'll stick with the asada or try the lengua. Great taco truck near Clark Intermediate. They don't sell drinks, so you'll have to grab one in the Valero station before you order. The truck is located in the parking lot. Not exactly a place you go for the atmosphere. But I do go for the asada tacos, they are very generous with the meat. I always ask for a fork. They have an avocado salsa that is incredible.
