Tacos de Tripas, Carnitas, Pollo, Asada y Birria (clockwise)
    Andrew K.

This taco truck is parked at the Valero gas station in Old Town Clovis on the southeast corner of Clovis Avenue and 5th Street. I like that they top the tacos with some chopped cabbage, in addition to the diced onions and chopped cilantro for added a little crunch. The salsas are very good. They raise the flavor profiles of the grilled meats. I appreciated that they asked if I wanted the tripas (tripe) on my taco extra crunchy because they should always be prepared that way in my opinion. In addition to the tripas, I ordered my other tacos with pollo (chicken), asada (beef cubed steak), and birria de res (stewed beef). My plate of tacos came with salsa rojas (red), salsa verde (green), and pureed guacamole. All the taco meats were well-seasoned, juicy, and flavorable. If I were to pick a favorite, I would say it was the extra crispy tripas. In my opinion, the tacos at this taco truck are tastier (not to mention cheaper) than anything you can get at a dine-in restaurant in Old Town Clovis. They were solid, although not spectacular. Open from 10 AM to 8 PM, Monday to Thursday, 10 AM to 9 PM Friday and Saturday, and closed on Sunday.

I wanted to sample a few meats so I tried the mulita de chorizo, tacos de asada and tacos de birria. I understand why this place is so popular. Simple taco truck in a gas stations lot so parking is a bit hard so easier if you're getting gas....but the food was definitely fulfilling. The cabbage gives it a crunchy bigger taco feel and their salsa is pretty good. Not spicy imo but it taste great. My toddler daughter got a simple rice and bean burrito and she almost ate the whole thing. Since clovis only has a few good taco spots....it makes you appreciate this spot a lot more

Don't let the wheels fool you! I would prefer this truck over most Mexican restaurants in Fresno/clovis.

One word. FIRE! The food is amazing. Delicious and way better pricing than most places. Recommend the regular burrito asada! Don't forget the grilled onions and grilled jalapeños.

Searched through Yelp for some good tacos as we were staying at a nearby hotel. Tacos Corona came up as a pretty good choice. There is no address on Yelp as of now (April 2022) so we called the number listed for the address to plug into the GPS. The nice gentleman who answered the phone confirmed the address as 521 Clovis Ave. -- this taco truck shares a lot with a Valero gas station. The menu has lots of options for tacos, burritos, burgers and hot dogs. Prices are very reasonable also. We ordered 4 carne asada and 1 carnitas tacos. The meats were seasoned nicely and the salsas that came on the side were good. I prefer onions and cilantro on my tacos and while both were added -- I didn't care for the layer of cabbage. It adds a crunch factor but I don't agree that it pairs well as such. In summary, I would recommend checking this taco truck out. Have some fun and get creative with what their menu has to offer.

Best tacos in the 559. Took my bf here and this is our go to spot. They need to have a website not sure if they do have social media. But the tacos hit the spot every time!!

Living in Clovis has its cons when it comes to Mexican food... but I decided to try tacos corona one day and it did not disappoint! This is my go to spot for tacos now since it's nearby. Since it is a food truck you can call in your order and they usually have it ready pretty quickly. The salsa is hit or miss though. Sometimes it is nice and spicy other times it's just ehhh. But overall great food.

Food wasn't too bad, pricing was fair. The meat needed more seasoning and the quesadillas could've used some type of crème sauce as it was only meat and cheese.

Excellent little spot in Old Town. Staff is really friendly and the food is bomb. Love that they serve the breakfast burrito all day. Asada and Carnitas are my favorites. All 3 salsas are pretty yummy too.

    Great size burritos!

Finding a great taco spot in Clovis has been challenging. Tacos Corona has been our go-to and honestly I'd put it up there next to any other taco truck in Fresno/Clovis. Not only is their food tasty but at $2 a taco they come in very competitive. You can find them right in Old Town in the Valero gas Station lot off 5th and Clovis Ave. I recommend the carnitas, ask for extra crispy, they actually do it here. The tacos are a good size with a great ratio of meat to tortilla. We typically call in our order and it's ready when we arrive. I'm SO glad we have such a solid taco spot near us!

What could have been a disappointing surprise turned into one of the best local dining experiences we've had in a long time. We had the pleasure of meeting Miguel himself, and his hospitality immediately stood out. He took the time to introduce us to several items on the menu and encouraged us to try a little bit of everything. I'm glad he did. The red beans and rice were absolutely phenomenal, and every single thing we tasted was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride. You can tell Miguel genuinely cares about both the food and the people he serves. What impressed me most wasn't just the food--it was the atmosphere. Miguel has a gift for making you feel welcome. His heart for hospitality is second to none, and it's obvious that serving great food and creating a great experience are his top priorities. If you're looking for a hidden gem in Clovis, this is it. Whether you're stopping in to catch a game, grab a meal with friends, or enjoy a simple flip-flop date night with your spouse, Miguel's is worth the visit. We'll definitely be back, and I can't recommend this place enough.

Miguel sells his auntenthic mexican food and Lisa sells her favorite sweet treats. By far on the market, they sell pretty bomb salsa! It's not like the generic salsa from store bought one, it's just like the unique homemade family recipes. And trust me, these are not as supper vinegary. I love Miguel's salsa! Miguel's message was to serve his community and bring his tradition to the table. He brought the flavors of Michoacan and Jalisco Mexico which were passed down from the Segura family. SERVICE :: I love Miguel's service! He personally serves you and greet you there. He offered me free chips and salsa while i wait. They were quiet busy but get things done quickly too. RATE : 5/5 SALSAS & CHIPS - COMPLIMENTARY:: His salsas and chips were the best thing I've ever recieved. He serves his famous red and green salsa with a little bit of ground beef on top. They go so well together. RATE : 5/5 RED SALSA :: It's hard to describe it here but it's roasty burnt salsa full of flavors. Not too vinegary. You just got to try it in person. RATE : 5/5 GREEN SALSA :: I personally love the green sauce more, in general. And still Miguel's green salsa still beats the red salsa. I can taste all of the greens and fruit in it. It may be advertised mild but the heat is there. It's about almost the same spice level as the red salsa. RATE : 5/5 ASADA TACO ($3.49) :: Besides his salsa, his tacos were amazing too. It's well seasoned, unique, and full of flavor. The asada is something that I've never tasted before. It's very herby, well seasoned to taste, juicy and tender! RATE : 5/5 TACOS DORADOS ($4.49) :: The tacos dorados were something different from what I've had before and were absolutely delicious. This taco reminds me of birria. The texture and flavor were also amazing. I asked for pork, it was supper moist, tender and juicy full of flavors. The cotija cheese brings a nice dry and light cheesy taste to it. And lastly, those pickled jalapeno just give a pop of juicy, sour, and spicy flavor. RATE : 5/5 PISTACHIO CREAMES ICED MATCHA (16oz - 6.49) :: Lisa use Tenzo brand. I've used and tried Tenzo before and it's hard to ratio the matcha. Over portion Tenzo match will be too bitter and too little too diluted. And yes, Lisa's Matcha was on the diluted side. The pistachio flavoring is light and taste artificial. The sweetness level is perfectly sweetend. Not too sweet. RATE : 2/5 NOTE : Spend anything above $50, get a $5 dollar off voucher for the next purchase. OVERALL :: Overall, it's a hidden gem that's definitely worth checking out! Don't forget his salsas, he do sell them on the side. I'll definitely go back for more and try his other menu!

I also sampled the carnitas on top of crispy taco shells as well. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the tortillas came out hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Every bite reminded me why simple food done right is hard to beat. I was hoping to try the mojara frita, menudo, and barbacoa, only to find out the menudo and barbacoa are weekend only specialties. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed, but it also gives me a great reason to come back. What really stood out, beyond the food, was the hospitality. David, who appears to have been running the place for over 20 years, was incredibly charismatic and provided the kind of customer service that seems harder and harder to find these days. You can tell he genuinely cares about both the restaurant and the people who walk through the door. One of my favorite parts of the visit was when I saw the owner come out and greet the regulars and customers. The interactions felt sincere and heartfelt, not forced. There was a real sense of community here, as if customers weren't just patrons but part of an extended family. That kind of atmosphere is special and says a lot about the people behind the business. Great food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming environment--I'll definitely be back, hopefully on a weekend next time.

Location/services: Upon entering the building I immediately noticed the heat. It was a hot 98 degree day and the restaurant felt like an oven and was maybe 3-5 degree cooler than it was outside. I then quickly noticed this was a very simple operation (almost like a food truck), and not much to the menu, but there were folks sitting and eating and a few others waiting to order, so I assumed the food must be great. We ordered 4 meals (tacos with rice/beans) which was meant to be eaten there but after waiting in line and feeling like we were in a hot box, we decided to make it to go. We sat and waited for our food (about 20 mins), we chatted and observed our surroundings and it became very apparent the restaurant was not maintained with basic cleaning because it was very grimy and just plain dirty. I then used the restroom and it was absolutely disgusting. Our ordered was called and the staff was very nice. The food: As I mentioned, we got 4 orders of tacos (all carne asada) with rice/beans, and we asked for salsa and limes. We got grilled jalapenos, lemons and one sandwhich baggy filled with red salsa. Not a big deal. The meat was fine but the tortillas were inedible. They were tough, flavorless, and greasy. The bean and rice were ok. We ate enough to curb our hunger but none of us finish our food. Upon my best judgement, I had convinced myself that the food was gonna be great because their Yelp rating told me so. I was so wrong! One last note, there was nothing here that resembled a bakery/panaderia. So if you think you could also grab a treat here, you are wrong.

The girl behind the counter greeted us right away, very friendly. We got to sample a couple of their Agua Frescas before making our decisions as well. I got 3 different tacos: Asada, Cabeza, and Tripa (extra crispy). He got all Asada. We weren't huge fans of their Asada. We both agreed it felt/looked/tasted more like ground beef... wasn't cooked how we'd like. Asada was in last place for me. Cabeza was good, came in second. The Tripa was my favorite. Very good. My friend got Lengua and Adobada-- pretty sure she enjoyed hers. For the drink, we agreed on the Cucumber one-- it was very refreshing/yummy. We also sampled the Horchata. It was good but slightly too sweet for me. It's not very big inside but there's still a good amount of tables for guests to sit at. 8-10? More or less. They keep the tables clean... but, there are a lot of flies buzzing around the windows. We had to battle with one very persistent/pesky fly trying to get our food. It's a shame because that definitely docks a point, sorry. Tacos were good, not the best I've ever had though. I know Asada may be a basic meat choice but we've had some damn good Asada... they missed the mark. Also, I hope they find a way to resolve the fly issue. With that said-- I've gotta put them in the middle.
