It is in a convenient location so I stop by when I need to grab a quick bite to eat. The tacos were really good when they first opened but now I feel that the quality has gone done. I ordered carne asada and the meat was bland tasted like it was boiled. They added fish tacos to the menu and those were really good. You order at the counter then get tacos at a different counter. The staff is friendly. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. They have one TV showing games. They have beautiful Frida mural on the main wall.
SERVICE: there's definitely room for improvement on the ordering process on Taco Tuesday. We called the order in at 6:55 and the food was ready. 35 minutes later. the pick up line is not for phone orders. They need to clarify that on the sign. For as long as the lines were the staff was very friendly. FOOD: We ordered the Asada, Carnitas & Chicharron. Our favorite was the Asada.They are very generous on the guacamole so make sure you get plenty of napkins. This is the 4th business in this location. I'll be back but not on Taco Tuesday!
I think this is a wonderful Taqueria. Much needed in the Fresno area. I haven't tried their original locations in San Diego county but it was delicious here. They have two lines, the first line you order you food, the second line you give your order to the food preps. We went towards opening week so it was a bit hectic and looks like they didn't anticipate so many customers. For what we got, the food was really good. Order a few tacos and asada fries. Everything was good, some of the meats needed more seasoning but for our second go around, it was a lot better. I figure the first time it was more rushed than anything else, so I don't blame them. Asada Tacos - Needed more seasoning 7/10 Al Pastor Tacos - Was delicious! 10/10 Cabeza Tacos - Really good 8/10 Asada Fries - Our favorite 10/10 Horchata - 9/10 Jamaica - 9/10 Overall it's a great place I recommend for a quick bite. Love the design of the restaurant as well.
First time visiting here, and I was pleasantly surprised! The decor was bright, chic, yet so inviting. There were multiple tables and a few booths. We ended up getting the order to go, and I was so enthralled with all the choices, I didn't get any other inside restaurant pics- next time. The service was great, and when I took my receipt to the pick up area, the kind server said, I'll give you another taco when he knew it was my first visit. I was also offered to try anything else I wanted. My son devoured his chicken, and the soyrizo I thoroughly enjoyed. There was a fully stocked self-serve salsa and sides bar that had 2 salsas, radishes, cucumbers, limes, and more. The beverages were so refreshing as well. The cost overall is a bit high, especially for the beverages. I definitely would return though, and maybe check out their Taco Tuesday specials.
I had been wanting to try this place since it opened. I would pass by and there would be a line to the door most of the time. It seemed like the hype for a while so I went in to try it myself. I placed an order fro pickup at around 11am on a Thursday because I had seen how long the lines would get, and I did not want to wait that long. So I went ahead at ordered online. I arrived there at around 11:15 and surprisingly there was no line, just a couple of people dining in. The inside of the taqueria is nice, very modern Mexican grill style. They have a glass display by the cash register of the all the agua fresca flavors that they have. I went in, picked up my food and left. The service was decent. I honestly expected more of a nicer, pleasant service for it being a place that is usually packed. The place itself looked very clean, I will give them that, and everything seemed pretty organized. You could see the grills where they were making the meat, so that was nice to be able to see. I ordered an asada torta, I requested online that they add avocado to it, which they did not, which shows that they did not read my order correctly. As for the flavor, nothing special, just an average asada torta. It felt very plain to me. I ordered a side of fries too, which were cold already. If there's something I don't enjoy, its eating cold fries. The agua fresca was pretty good. I got the lime and cucumber one. It was a little more on the sweeter side than I prefer. The only thing I did not like about it, was the amount of lime pulp and cucumber shavings it had. I was not able to drink it at ease because of how much pulp and shavings it had. I paid almost $30 for everything, which I thought was a little excessive, considering it is a taqueria. Overall, I would not come back. It's more of a one time thing and that's it, nothing special, nothing that makes it stand out from any other taco place.
This space has changed multiple times over the years, but I hope that Frida's Taqueria stays forever. I went on taco Tuesday because I was told they had specials. Yes they do! $1.99 street tacos on Tuesday. I ordered 2 chicken and 2 steak. It comes with onion, cilantro, salsa and guacamole. I was also offered grilled onions and peppers. The food was scrumptious, and what a deal! This is my go-to place on Tuesday for sure and any other time we crave Mexican food.
I have seen the $2 Taco Tuesday sign posted on the street corners for months and decided I finally needed to try it. We dropped by around 7pm on Tuesday and it was pretty busy. There are two lines. One to order and the other to pick up your tacos. I'm not sure how much I like that process because the line moved slow and I would've loved to just sit and wait for my food. Once you get up to the window for your tacos the guys do ask how you want it dressed (salsas, onions, cilantro, guac) and do it for you. There's also a salsa bar if you'd prefer to do it yourself. Inside is decorated nice. Anyway, I ordered 2 asada tacos, 1 birria, a strawberry cream drink and my SIL got the horchata. The tacos were pretty solid. Not skimpy on the meat or anything and had good flavor. I only wish I grabbed an extra salsa or two to go since most of the salsa sat on one side of taco. The strawberry cream drink was okay, not the best but not the worse I've had. Huge for about $6-7. My SIL said the horchata was watered down though. Overall, I'd def be back!
First time trying this taqueria and loved the atmosphere and design! Great selection to choose from. My family came in and we ordered 5 tacos (as I ordered one) and a plate of chorizo and beans. They were NOT STINGY with anything!! Tacos were STUFFED and big portions for the great price! I believe it was the owner who brought us our tacos and ended up giving me two instead of the one so I wouldn't be left out. The kindness really struck me as I've gone to many places to eat and been given so much overcharge for even sauce! Everyone working here was so nice and helpful! Will be coming back for more tacos soon! Thank you guys for my wonderful experience
Haven't returned here since they first opened their doors. Yesterday, Sunday just after 3pm my family and I were shopping in the area and decided to grab an early dinner. Thankfully they were not busy, it was quite shocking to see lines out the door to no lines. But it was nice that we weren't in the middle of all the chaos and we got a chance to sit and enjoy our meal. We finally got to try other proteins such as the chicharron Tacos that they sold out of when we first came as well as their rice and beans. We ordered a grilled cheese meal for our kids under the kids menu which came with a drink and fries. My husband and I both got tacos. This time around the guac had more flavor than it did when they initially opened. I honestly do not recommend the asada here, the 2 different times we ordered the meat was dry, hard and gamey. The other proteins such as Cabeza, and El Pastor definitely taste better and has so much more flavor. The grilled cheese was fresh and delicious as well as the fries, they were lstraw fries, and perfectly crunchy and seasoned also large proportioned. The restaurant was fairly clean and they had a beautiful Christmas tree. The food was better and the staff was nice, I would return!

The cash register girl seemed annoyed lol but I figured because people were lingering around the register still thinking of what to get while there was a line of people. You place your order and then walk towards another window where they make the taco in front of you. The man messed up my boyfriend's taco and suggested that it would taste better that way...sure. The music playing was nice. We went on a pretty empty day. Was expecting more from the taco. They do serve you a whole lot of meat and guac but it still lacked flavor.
Generously portioned tacos that will satisfy your taco craving! I am a loyal south of Shaw taco connoisseur and typically avoid chain restaurants. But Frida's definitely shattered my bias. I tried the carne asada, carnitas and adobada taco and each was delicious. They do not skimp on their protein portions and the toppings added to the overall flavor profile. I was hungry when I arrived and the three tacos were more than enough. Tortillas were 5/5. Their ordering system can be a bit confusing. You order at the register and then take your receipt to the second window to have your order completed. The person at the register did not clearly explain this and we noticed that one customer ended up waiting for a while before we explained that he needed to go up to the second window. Plenty of seating with aesthetically pleasing decor. We noticed they have a $1.99 Taco Thursday special and look forward to returning for that.
My favorite tacos are the adobada and the chicharron! My first time trying chicharron tacos and I was quite surprised! It's packed with so much flavor. If you're a texture person maybe not the right choice lol.. service was fast. First you have to get in line to order, if you order a drink then they hand you that at the register. Then there's another line where you pick up your food, that's when you can customize your ingredients. I'm not a big fan of all of the avocado they slap onto your tacos but some is good! It's busy so try to grab a seat first if you can. Drinks are great! The cucumber & lime is my favorite, they do tend to put a lot of ice in it so ask for light ice....
I stopped by Freida's recently, and wow -- what a great experience. It's a beautiful little spot where the cooks make the tacos right in front of you and let you pick your own toppings. Everything looked fresh, smelled amazing, and tasted even better! The tacos were seriously delicious, and the aguas frescas were the perfect touch... It's a bit of a drive from home but close to work and 100% worth it. If you love a good taco and friendly vibes, definitely check it out!
What a value. Generously packed Tacos, your choice of meat, beans, rice and a drink all for only $12.99 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I thought I'd try the Horchata since it's free even though I really hate sweet things... sure enough, I can only take one sip and had to throw the rest away. I'm sure everyone else will love it! The restaurant is pleasant, comfortable in Romie. The staff taking orders and delivering food seems to have their hospitality in order. They did a good job. You can select whatever toppings you want on things, including adding some of your own the salsa bar... I love that they serve a grilled jalapeño along with sautéed onions with the tacos. Greg loves his onions! The rice and beans was super tasty. All of the meats lacked flavor, but there was nothing wrong with them.... The meats were a great quality and they were certainly packed into the tortillas! The guacamole added is a nice change and something I try to eat a lot of. Honestly, the only issue here if there is one is that the meats are not more intensely flavored. And I don't just mean adding salt... Definitely gonna try some more here and super enjoyed my pre-gym workout visit! We came here on Taco Tuesday, and wow--it was busy! The line was out the door, but it moved much faster than I expected, so we really didn't have to wait long. The seating isn't the best, especially on such a busy day, but everything else made up for it. The staff was incredibly nice and patient, and they handled the rush so well without seeming overwhelmed. The restaurant itself is clean with a really nice interior. The tacos came out hot, loaded with toppings, and were so flavorful. At only $1.99 each on Taco Tuesday, they're an incredible deal. You also have to try the aguas frescas! The pineapple is my favorite and was the perfect drink to go with the tacos. We'll definitely be back for Taco Tuesday! read more

I have been wanting to try this place since it opened. Good thing I was already on this side of town and was craving tacos. I usually go to the east side for street tacos but this was on my bookmarks and I had to knock this out the way. I been here before when it used to be Rustika.. lowkey looks the same but with a Spanish twist. I noticed the prices went up compared to some of the menu pictures I seen online. I went with two cabeza tacos and one asada. My bf did two birria and two asada tacos. I got everything on mine and he didn't want guac on his. His birria tacos came with the consommé. Service was great. You can head to the window after ordering and tell them how you want your tacos. The way the tacos look does give it a tacos el Gordo vibes.. like the ones I had in Vegas. Taste ain't the same but it was still good. I also ordered a asada quesadilla to share with my bf. I got sauces and guac on the side. They have a green sauce, red and fresh one. There's a salsa bar by the front door and you can load up on sauces, limes and radishes if you desire. The Red one had a little kick to it. Not bad at all. I liked the asada quesadilla over the asada tacos but the cabeza tacos were pretty fire too. The consommé is pretty bland imo. I would come back tho. read more
I ordered the cucumber lime Agua Fresca and it was exactly what I needed--cold, refreshing, and not overly sweet like at other places. Also, huge. Like, carry-it-with-two-hands huge. For tacos, I went with one carne asada and one birria. The birria was my favorite, juicy and packed with flavor, but honestly, the carne asada was just as delicious. The tortillas were dipped in grease and heated to the perfect temperature. They do not skimp on the meat. Each taco had enough filling to easily make three. After the meat goes on, you choose your toppings (cilantro, onion, guacamole, salsa). We also got chips and salsa, but we were way too full after just the tacos. Definitely worth going back. The first time I spotted this spot, I wasn't even here for tacos. I was next door getting froyo, living my best life. Then I saw the line for this place stretching into the parking lot like it was the newest iPhone drop. It was 100 degrees out and people were willingly slow-roasting themselves for tacos. Respect... but also, not me. I told myself I'd come back once the hype died down. Fast forward a couple months: hype = dead, line = nonexistent, vibes = questionable. But hey, I was already here, so let's taco 'bout it. People told me this place was legendary, "just like Tacos El Gordo." Aight bet, let's see. Menu was stacked, burritos, tacos, all kinds of options. I did the responsible Yelp Elite thing and basically ordered a taco sampler platter (except carne asada, which I somehow forgot... don't ask, I'm still mad at myself). I treated it like a scientific experiment: same toppings, same salsa, and a bite-by-bite flavor study. Results of my Very Serious Taco Science (scale of 1-10): * Birria: 6 (saucy but didn't blow my mind) * Carnitas: 5 (mid at best) * Chicharrón: 7 (surprisingly the star) * Pollo Asado: 6 (solid but not memorable) * Cabeza: 5 (meh, let's move on) Ordering was cool, the staff was nice and didn't rush me through my taco TED Talk. Coffee bar was closed after breakfast (tragic), and the taco line moved slower than my Wi-Fi when my neighbor is streaming Netflix, but OK. Atmosphere? Cool. Staff? Super nice. Food? Decent. But if you're hoping for a Tacos El Gordo dupe nah, fam. Not even close. And no Al Pastor, which honestly feels like a crime in taco court. Final verdict: The food itself was a 3, but the staff and vibe bumped it to a 4. I'll give them one more shot at breakfast before i decide if this is a go to or a nah bro. read more

I am sad to say that the food is slightly better than Chipotle , but has the same amount of flies in the dining room as Chi-poodle. The ordering process is awkward at best. You flow to the right and place your order at the register. Once you order, you get another receipt to take over to the food prep area - and that is where the taco assembly begins. On my first and only visit, I opted for the carne asada , carnitas and adobada tacos. I had to try three tacos for two reasons: 1. These tacos are small as hell.Gone in 3 bites! 2. I had to try different meat options to know which ones are good, and which ones you can pass on. The carne asada was a little overcooked and lacking that grill flavor. The carnitas taco was pretty decent, and probably the best of the three options. The adobada taco was dry as my dead Grandma's elbows. All tacos come with onions , cilantro , salsa and a sh** ton of guacamole. In fact, too much guacamole for the taco size. I ordered a side or rice and beans and they were not good. The beans were salty- like my attitude . The rice was crunchy and dry too. On a side note, there is no alcohol and no fountain drinks. I'll round up to 3 stars , and I am being generous. . I was disappointed to say the least. * The next time you are in Las Vegas...try Tacos el Gordo . They offer similar tacos- only way better! read more

We came here for the breakfast and there was no one inside which is how I like it! Everything was hot and fresh and came out fairly quickly. The service was okay, something they could work on I feel. All in all I'd love to come back for lunch and try their tacos! read more

Great food!!! Great service!!! A must try if you're looking for authentic Mex in Clovis. Asada has that real seasoned flavor. The carnitas were on point with a beautiful color. Inside decor just hits all the marks. 10 out 10!!! read more

First time trying pineapple with el pastor tacos copying someone in front of me, it was really good and something I'll be asking for moving forward. (Give it a try!!!) The asada is good along with the carnitas, good flavor and never dry. I go for $2 tacos on Tuesday & Thursday's. I've probably been 4-5 times so far. The very next day I decided to try chilaquiles, added 2 eggs for $5. Tried to add asada but unfortunately it wasn't an add-on option. It was plated nicely, the potatoes were good, green sauce was cool and definitely needed the eggs. I wish they had a spicy orange habanero sauce since their spiciest is not that spicy. The restaurant was clean and organized both days. The employees taking food/drink orders and taco cooks are nice, friendly and helpful. Restrooms are clean and stocked. read more

This place is located in the old brunch bar. It very spacious with plenty of seating options. Upon entering I noticed there were two lines with no clear direction of which one to go to first. So I looked for the register and headed to that one. So there you order your food and drinks. They you take your ticket to the next line and tell them what you want on your tacos. Everything is fresh and yummy. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they have 2 dollar tacos. Which is a steal considering they put tons of meat and avocados on your tacos. read more
8/2/25 Getting breakfast for tomorrow! Arrived, very nice restaurant. Switched fast! Greeted and ordered the Frida Combo with eggs over hard and bacon. Also ordered a Large Cinnamon Chai Latte with almond milk. Paid for order, given number and waited to receive it! Clean and safe. Music playing. Lots of seating and a bar. While waiting to receive order I went to the fresh salsa bar & got some to go with breakfast. Waited a bit for order....at least the atmosphere is nice. Received drink first and waited a little more. Order was ready and another worker greeted, happy to bag it for me and wished a good day! Great! 8/2/25 Happy Sunday everyone! Order split. Cinnamon Chai 1/2 with almond milk was Great! Flavorful! Frida's Combo was Really good! Tasty! Even better with their salsa! Spice it up! Plenty to split. I'm sure mother will feel the same when she gets up to have hers!? This was the first time visiting and I must say the tacos were delicious. The tortillas were fresh and moist and the asada was da bom ! My only comment would be blob of guacamole they add to the tacos was a little much ! Next time I'll ask for it on the side . I lived that they asked if you wanted the grilled onions and or grilled pepper on the side and that for me was an absolute plus as I love that stuff . The staff was very friendly. It was a little confusing walking in and trying to figure out where the line would be . Also the tree decor is a little much as it coves up the menus while you wait other than that it very nice inside and lots of Fresca's to choose from . I did note one more things that they have a very large breakfast menus but the lunch menus is kinda small and hidden. Would I come back yes , I'm looking forward to trying the chilaquiles on my next visit . read more
I was excited to try this place. I'm always looking for a good taco place. Coming from having awesome tacos in San Diego and then coming home craving some it's really hard to find especially my favorite, the adobada tocos. I ordered one of those here, and asada and birria tacos it just didn't have enough favors I was hoping it would have. Definitely has room for improvement. Service was good, I came on a weekday it was not busy. Atmospheres was nice. I like the mural. The staff were nice. read more

My family and I are super disappointed with this place! We went in close to 8:00 on a Friday night. Not super busy so we were able to find seats. When we left at 9:00 it was much busier. When you come in, the line forms to the right but the menu is on the left so you can't really view the menu until you get up there. Then you get in another line to tell the person assembling your food what you want in them. Brunch is until 1:00 so after 1:00 they literally only offer tacos, fries, and burritos. No kids menu, and no salads- that and breakfast/brunch is only offered until 1:00. My kids ordered carnitas tacos (their go-to). My youngest did not like them and my oldest commented about the grease running down her hand. I got a carnitas burrito and also super greasy. They were out of rice. My husband got a combined carnitas and asada burrito and he was disappointed with his as well. Two stars because the aguas frescas were good. If you don't like "pulp" in your drinks, don't get the cucumber lime- it was tasty, but I had cucumber bits in every sip. Two kids can likely share an agua fresca. You can ask for a cup with ice to split it. They don't have ice water, only bottles ($2 for a smart and final bottle). They have Mexican cokes and jarritos. No fountain drinks. Unless we go in for brunch, we likely won't be returning. I think it was just too greasy. I did overhear that they have taco Tuesdays and Thursdays. read more

This is a really good spot to have some great Mexican food in this part of town. It's definitely made fresh to order cause you literally can see them starting and finishing your order. Their variety of meats are on point and I'll have to give a huge MUST to their asada. They don't up charge you for the fixings like a lot of all the other Mexican food places in the area do. Their menu provides a huge variety of authentic Mexican dishes and drinks too. The restaurant has a great vibe and well kept as well. Service was great and this is a definite must have spot.
