Fricano's and Tuesday Night Cruise Nights! Alright you guys. We've got a SWEET spot to show ya! Fricano's is 100% a crowd favorite. They serve up amazing thin crust pizzas! Their pizza is one of the most famous in Michigan and is simply a classic. I can remember visiting Fricano's all the time growing up and it really is a family event! And you won't be disappointed at all at what their menu has to offer! Love all kinds of meats on your pizza? A variety of veggies? How about some pineapple? (Shoutout to all the pineapple pizza lovers ) Fricano's has it ALL! In Comstock Park, Fricano's adds even more flare to their restaurant by hosting "Cruise Nights" What exactly are Cruise Nights you might ask? Cruise Nights are for showing off the classic cars in the area and it is so cool!! So many cars show up and it's amazing to walk through and look at the years of the cars, some dating back to the early 1900's, and notice the different styles! Not only is it amazing to look at all the classic cars, but it also shows a sense of community in the area which is just as cool to witness!

They're open for in dining. They offer beer and wine. Thin crust pizza and salad very good. Tables with diners adequately spaced during this covid-19 era. Friendly waitstaff.

Looks good but tastes horrible. If you don't believe me go try it

Sadly I was looking forward to liking this place. I'm a thin crust fan but this was just bad. Paper thin, someone put pizza spice all over it, the Parmesan cheese is in their pie somewhere. It was so over spiced and Parmesan was way to much. Cooked correct just a sad frozen over spiced Jacks pizza. Maybe it was the guy running the ovens tonight but it was horrific. Had to stop at arbys and drink a shake to rid that taste. Threw out leftovers. Sorry to write this guys. Pictures are deceiving

I love Fricanos Pizza. Plain and simple. I also am a guy who favors a thin crust pie as opposed to a deeper dish style, making Fricanos right up my alley. The pizza is nice and crispy with limited bread to get in the way of the quality ingredients. I like how easy to eat the pizza is and how unique the flavor is. Italian seasoning and garlic are used well and flavor is well baked into everything they make. Atmosphere is lacking, but if you are going for a great sit down pizza joint, look no further.

No frills thin crust pizza joint with super friendly staff and a vibe that feels Goodfellas esque. Very cool place.

Pizza is the best! Love the thin crust! Some people think it's greasy but that's just the delicious cheese that they use.

We need to put some respect on this beautiful pink woman's name. When first greeted in the warm embrace that is this spot, there's a food pantry; I quietly reminded myself to be grateful that I am able to dine in at a restaurant. Especially one that is Amore. This place, it's special. It's warm, inviting and feels like my grandmas kitchen. A place I can sit down, talk to good people and eat comforting food. The wine list was so personal and we chose a lovely red that paired well with our dinner. We decided to start with the share size Caesar salad, which had our immediate attention with homemade croutons. SPEAKING OF HOMEMADE, the focaccia bread that was so graciously provided accompanied by an olive oil I threatened to drink out of the bottle - was also divine. So the main entrees come out, and I start crying because it's one of the first restaurants I've been too in ages that's I don't taste anything but love and care. I was snoozing on the pillows of vodka sauce gnocchi, when I was awoken by a spoonful of tomato sauce with a Smokey vibe. If I'm honest, I teared up. At the ending of our dinner we were served a generous digestifs and the best spoonful of pumpkin tiramisu EVER. Amore is magic, Jenna is magic and our server Kim. I love your Boston accent, and your service was better. Protect Amore at all costs, this place is special. I'm writing this after all my gorgeous beverages just to prove it to y'all.

Fred's is your classic "Grand…read moreRapids Italian" spot, which means it's a sports bar with some Italian dishes (similar to Uccello's etc.). We stopped in on a weekday around 7 pm and there was plenty of open seating in the large bar area. Our server was pretty busy but very kind. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and Nate got the wet burrito. Our food did take a bit of time to come out, but when it arrived, everything was hot and fresh. The chicken parm was a huge portion and it came with an entire loaf of garlic bread, so I had plenty of leftovers. It was super saucy (which I liked) and cheesy. It was also really salty! I had several bites of Nate's burrito, which was flavorful and tasty (also very salty). Overall it was a good visit, the bar was large and clean, and I'm glad we got a chance to check it out.
