THE BEST PIZZA IN WEST MICHIGAN!!! I don't know exactly what it is about this pizza, maybe the right amount of sauce vs grease mixture that starts to make it so amazing. Then after the toppings are added and it's cooked in that special oven that's cooked and cooked and cooked pizza upon pizza so much that it actually makes the pizza taste better. It has to be true because after the store on Henry burnt down and was rebuilt, after they opened a lot of people said that the pizza tasted different. They all decided that it more than likely was because of the "new oven not having enough garlic cooked into it". The building in Grand Haven reeks of garlic so bad I couldn't eat there. I can eat at all the other Scribbs restaurants. I don't remember a time in my life when there wasn't a Scribbs restaurant. That's a nice feeling. I do miss the days of delivery, there was a manager at the North Muskegon on who would deliver my pizza on his way home from work. (I got home after their normal delivery hours so he bent the rules for me) all of the restaurants have seating room along with everything you will need for your dinner/lunch. **Napkins/silverware/plates/all condiments provided** Most of them have a large seating area with tables and benches. Pizza is great and always cooked perfectly. The other items they have are good, but dont stand out. Service is always good, but sometimes slow because they get so busy. It's average, look the pizza has been hyped way too much. It's soft crust zero crisp and no outer crust at all. Typical pub style pizza. The best pizza in Muskegon- hands down no contest. Fricanos runs a close second... but Scribs on Apple is the best! The one on Apple also has Cauliflower fries. Don't skip these!!!! I'll get a half pound and eat them all myself! Is this pizza super greasy? Yes it is. Just grab a handful of napkins and blot the top first. People from this area absolutely rave about Mr. Scrib's. I'll try to wrap my head around it. Impressing me with store made pizza is pretty difficult. Greeted by lackluster counter service, the system is as follows: Approach counter and order. They will call your number when it is ready. Eating in? There are several tables, but no wait staff. It's all on you. We ordered a couple pizzas, along with sides of onion rings and fried fungus. Our primary pizza was a meat lovers. It was good, but incredibly messy and greasy. I'm surprised and impressed that bubble guts did not occur. The onion rings and mushrooms were pretty standard from what I've had elsewhere. (And served when I was a cook!) I'm still trying to wrap my head around why Mr. Scrib's is so loved, but it was not bad. I suggest that you give it a try and judge for yourself. It was, as Yelp puts it, "A-OK". read more

People come from miles around for this world class Pizza. The good stuff goes all the way to the edge of the crust. Thin and crispy is what it's about. A little greasy, but that's where the flavor is. The only thing I'm not fond of is that it's cut into squares. read more

At this particular location, I thought the atmosphere was a 2 out of five and the pizza about a 4. I had a pepperoni pizza and it was quite greasy, but pretty tasty. Mr. Scribs is all about being a memorable thin crust pizza, which is fairly rare. Most pizzas found in Michigan are either medium crust, such as Dominos or thick crust like the so-called "Detroit Style," such as Buddy's or Loui's over in the Detroit area. The crust was good, which is usually the downfall of most pizzas and the sauce wasn't too sweet, which is another common issue. I've long heard that Mr. Scrib's on Laketon Ave was the place to go for pizza.. I ordered in and requested a large supreme pizza to go. The cooking time was well in line with what was told to me when placing the order. I was a little dismayed when I went to the counter & saw a pizza in paper (just thinking heat retention). I live between 4-5 miles away from the store. It was warm, not piping hot when I opened it as soon as I arrived home. The crust was perfect, the topping adequate, and flavorful. If I were able to give this store 4.5 stars, I would. My personal fave pizza comes from Handsome Henry's and is about a dollar cheaper. read more

One of the only pizza places that delivers to my house, and it happens to be delicious every time, so I'm grateful for that. There is one delivery driver who has been working there for over 20 years (he told me) and he's awesome. Funny guy, even though he had to get out in the rain to bring me pizza. I remember one year the power had been out for like a whole week at my house and the night we picked up Scribbs, it came back on as soon as we got home.
