The store was very clean & displayed multiple options for both rentals & purchase options. We decided to go with buying vs renting. The store manager Evan was so awesome! He helped us through the process & made sure we all got exactly what we wanted. He presented a few options & made the whole process very smooth! He helped us make sure our suits were all delivered to locations that were closer to each guys house. Such a great experience & cool place to get suits from! I didn't feel like wearing my normal black or navy suit so we both went for these amazing BLUE suits with vests, brown shoes, etc. Fitting went smoothly and the service at this ORANGE location is far superior than anywhere. I wish every business based on customer service would take a cue from this Friar Tux because they are on point. EVERY employee speaks directly to you and makes you feel like a VIP. My 16 year old son, never smiles, was beaming ear to ear when he tried on his suit and the employees were very complimentary. Had a terrible experience getting fitted. The person fitting me didn't ask any good questions and I basically fit myself. Then I went to pick up my order as the GROOM at a different location and come to find out, this location didn't order me a belt. I am extremely disappointed with this shop. My dad had received his suit 2 days before my wedding, after being told it was going to be ready several weeks earlier. All the suits for my wedding party were done with another shop/company. The suits for those came in with no issue or delay. With Friar, unfortunately, we never received any communication from them - probably since we paid in full in the beginning and they already had our money. My father and I went to this location in Orange, as it was a good meeting point for us based on where we each live. He drove out to the location several times from Riverside County as he never received a call or information on his suit by phone or email - on top of having a hard time getting info when calling in. Upon receiving his suit, the shirt was still wrong. They also tried giving the excuse that the size he ordered only comes in a short cut - but they took his measurements and placed the order in shop with us. So, if that was actually the case, then they should have clarified that detail with us while ringing us up seeing as none of the shirts he tried on were a short cut. Luckily, we did receive the suit just barely in time - despite also getting an ill fitted shirt that they didn't tell us was a short cut until we got it, and he could hardly tuck in, that we replaced with a Macy's shirt. read more

I wanted to provide positive feedback, but the latter part of my experience won't allow me to. When I stopped in to pick up my suit, the pants were too tight, despite the fact that I had lost weight since my initial fitting. The sales associate, who expressed little concern or empathy, said there wasn't anything that could be done but I was welcome to try the next size up. The next size up proved to be far too large. The associate said I could try the modern fit, instead of the slim fit, which was the first time I had ever been told about this option. Upon trying on the modern fit, they seemed slightly better, but still not tailored to my fit. I decided to try these instead and was told I could come back in two days to pick everything up. When I returned to the store, prepared to try them on, the associate that helped me this time didn't even give me the option to try on the suit. They said at this point if they didn't fit, there was nothing that could be done other than go up to the next size, which were already determined to be far too big. Again, the associate's empathy was severely lacking. I was also very disappointed that I was told during my fitting that I couldn't move the store I would be picking up from. The associate said that based on my address, Orange was the closest store to me. Yet it wasn't. The Irvine, Costa Mesa and Anaheim locations were all closer. There was a time when suits and tuxedos were custom tailored to fit each person. Now, each person must fit into "off the shelf" sizes. This model seems completely lacking in personalization or in a fit that is anything but flattering. Friar Tux has found a way to ruin the rental experience. read more

I do not recommend this location to do business in. I was here accompanied by my husband and stepfather as both were being fitted for a tux. I requested to use their restroom and was told Friars Tux does not have restrooms. I was told that the restrooms at the Chevron next door were very clean or the Carl's Jr across the street was another option. I hate businesses that are happy to take your money for services but are too cheap to allow their customers to flush the toilet once. I think with the $487.90 we paid for both tux rentals left them with plenty of money to allow a customer in need to relieve themselves. read more

So this review is solely based on the quality of the tuxedos. My cousin was getting married and we needed tuxedos so we decided to go to Friar tux customer service was excellent. Everybody was super friendly they got us in and out super fast. We picked a second most expensive tuxedo, which was like $220 and the shoes which were $25 Fast forward a little bit to the day of the wedding all the groomsmen's, including myself were complaining about the pants being too big the shoes were too tight. It was a complete and utter disaster so disappointed with friar tux. I'm not want to complain so I didn't ask for a refund or any type of any type of compensation But buyer beware. I'm sorry but I'll never go back to fried tuxedo again super super super. Super disappointed I've used fryer tuxedo in the past and everything was fine but for whatever reason this time the pants were just not good the jacket vest everything was OK but the pants and shoes unfortunately did not fit. Keep in mind I did try my tuxedo pants on three days before and they felt OK but for whatever reason at the time of the wedding, the password, no good and there's no way I could've gained or lost 5 to 10 pounds in a couple days. read more

My last encounter with Friar Tux was probably during prom season many moons ago. Once again, I make a celebrity appearance to one of these shops. I originally was at Men's Warehouse. I was convinced that for the price, a custom made suit was the way to go. Due to some budget constraints from the other groomsmen, we collectively decided on a cheaper alternative. We made a stop at Friar and the deals there could not be beat. We all settled on the dark navy suit for the wedding. The entire process was seemingly smooth. The customer service was impeccable. I was helped out by Melanie, the store manager. She was very easy to work with, incredibly knowledgeable, and overall a very friendly person.
