great experience and will come back when i need a tux. i was in and out and i can pick it up tomorrow. thank you again.

Came in to return some suspenders. Been sitting here for over 40 minutes now when a return could have happened within 5 minutes or less. The check-in system should be for people interested in renting a suit, they are literally sticking with each client until they know what they want before they move to the next client?.. This is such a slow process, not like it's busy. Why should someone wait for all the people to be helped when doing a quick return? Can people not multi task anymore these days? They could have easily checked the check-in list to see the reason I was in since you need to state the reason when checking in. Someone from corporate, please look into the system/process here. Not returning anytime soon. read more

If you're looking for suits that don't fit, don't get altered, and that come with holes and stains, this is probably the place for you. Subpar service throughout the entire process and I had to get my garment tailored myself (out of pocket) less than a week before my event. Not to mention suits costing 1.5x-2x as much as local, small businesses that offer better service and a better selection. As someone who's found great family owned tailors through my own formals, proms, weddings, and finally my own wedding, find someone else to outfit you and yours. Literally anyone else. read more

Just a big facade. Sent the time to get measurements for my "custom" suit for my brothers wedding. When it finally arrived after filling out all of their measurements and being measured by my tailor. The suit fit like crap and was very obviously just an off the rack suit. The tags on it also confirmed that. $150 "custom" suit needed $150 in tailoring. The suit is fine especially for the price. Just don't listen to any of the BS about anything being custom. It's not in any way shape or form. read more

Needed to get my son a fitting for an upcoming wedding. They helped us out immediately and they were patient and helpful to my 9 year old. I'll definitely be coming back here again for any suit needs for my sons! read more

Friar Tux - Suit Fitting! - Men's Clothing Near Me - Orange, California

Great service, great quality, wonderful experience! Very simple to check in and to return. Measurement is accurate and the suit is very comfortable. The line could get very long toward the end of the day. Always come between noon - 2pm. read more

We rented 9 tuxes for our wedding in September 2021. Only 2 out of the 9 were even close to fitting. We are talking 2 sizes wrong for some pants, shirts etc... The stress and inconvenience caused by rubbing back and forth for so many people was ridiculous. I wouldn't step foot anywhere near this place unless you want to be putting out fires on one of your most important days! read more

This company and location don't have any follow through. You can leave them dozens of messages and emails and no one will ever get back to you. Even when you try to contact them within their suggested business hours you'll be directed to their voicemail. Their hours and days of operation do not match their website nor their corporate offices designation for their operating time frame. When I ordered the tux I specifically asked if I could pay over the phone at the time of shipping and they said yes. Then on the day of shipping I call to pay and they tell me they don't accept over the phone payments and and I have to use their website. The tux finally arrived and the measurements were far from okay. The tux looks terrible. I have continued to reached out several times with no response, trying to get the tux returned and refunded. Their company and location leave a lot of work to do if they want to be a decent tux rental operation. read more

Whenever this is a family or friend event that requires all of us gentlemen to dress up, Friar Tux is where we continue to turn! From the initial fitting to the rental return, every step feels smooth. Unlike other companies, there aren't any unnecessary expensive add-ons, but rather straight to the point which I greatly appreciate! 10/10 read more

It was my first time picking out a tux for my child's first Homecoming and Gizelle was great! She was helpful and nice. She asked permission to do measurements on my child. We had a great chat! I would go back just for the service. read more

This Friar Tux location is just like every other location I've been to. It was a quick measurement an d off I went. Before the wedding I came in for a fitting. Everything was good, but they gave me a shoe with the sole flopping around. I told them and they replaced it right away. After the wedding I dropped off the tux and that's end of it. Note: You are able to place a deposit before you pick up the tux or could pay for the whole thing upfront. Either way it's quick and easy. read more

I came in just to check on a suit for rent for a company Christmas party. It s a 20s theme. I came in and it seemed like if they were waiting for me. The attendants split up and one came to me to help. He showed me different pics on line and the different suits they had. The guy convinced me to try on a couple of things. By the time I was done he had me put on a whole suit. He also took all my measurements. He wasn't pushy and when I told I needed to confirm the color of my girlfriend's dress. He handed me all my measurements he wrote down and said here you go so when you are ready. Not pushy one bit. He was great and I am going to recommend him to everyone I know. And also people I don't know. read more

My husband used this place for his groomsmen suit rentals. We had been shopping around for affordable rentals, and we wanted the groomsmen to have a non-jacket vest outfit, rather than a full suit with a jacket (summer wedding=hot). Most places are ridiculously priced, even without the jacket. Friar tux was the least expensive, and their suits looked great. Biggest Pros: Groomsmen could pick up their suit from different locations (one lived in Vista and it was nice he didn't have to drive out to OC for his fitting) Least expensive Very accommodating with looks, we were able to get the vest look we wanted with a merlot tie (other rental places did not have merlot colored ties) Great service, prompt and courteous; also very helpful at offering suggestions Suits ready on time! Biggest pro when it comes to weddings On top of everything, my husband was in search of an ivory self-tie bow-tie, and believe it or not, this was a difficult feat. We tried at least 6 other men's suit stores to no avail. But friar tux had it, and sold it to him for $14 Overall, definitely recommend using Friar Tux for any rental needs. read more

I took one star off cause it seems they are just a show room. They were nice to me. I tried my tux on and the shirt didnt fit well...then the next one kinda didnt either and I hated the way it made me look. But I think its the shirts and the weird way they are made to fit two sizes. I was gonna take a star off because the color of my tie is "watermelon"...but then I realized, that is the groom's fault. He told me it was almost pink. When faced with choosing between watermelon and pimp pink, pimp pink aint that bad...I coulda gotten a cane and made that happen. They even have top hats there... read more

All I can say is WOW. I called in and was quickly acknowledged by Melody on the phone she was professional and extremely welcoming on the phone. I told her what I needed and came in a short while later to grab some tuxedo shoes for my kids. The second I walked into the story the feeling of a cheerful genuine welcome really goes a long way. She remember what I needed and quickly assisted me in getting my kids tuxedo shoes. We went to get my son sized for a tux for Prom. We had to wait a little bit because there were a couple of people ahead of us, but that was ok, because it gave us a chance to look at the different options. We finally were helped by Xochitl ... she was awesome! She new exactly what tuxes we needed to look at (my son is pretty big so sizing him can be tough!). She had great suggestions, was very patient and had great customer service! She really knew her stuff. I was real pleased with the service we got here!!! read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND STILL ONGOING!!!!!! 1 of 3 pages. My friend used this location to outfit his groomsmen, bride's father, and officiant, (my role), for his wedding earlier this month, (April '23). To make this easier for anyone to read, I've listed the Pro's and Con's first and then explained each below that. PRO"S - Worker Josiah, was very helpful when trying to help correct mistakes on my fitting. - Employee Cindy, was also trying to be helpful in correcting the wrongs from the company CON"S - The first employee incorrectly measured suits of our sizing party - Had to make a third trip back for correct(?) tuxes - Missing pants - Missed aligned button/hole on shirt - Fragile buttons that popped off numerous shirts - Final suits not all correctly fitted - Missing pocket square - Other people's trash in suit pocket - Given different answers and excuses from different people - Told that "There is no Corporate number" when asked for a number - Sleeve on shirt being dirty before being worn - Told the Groom that it was "his fault for the miss sizing's and styles, and told the bride's father they would, "we will only refund his suit and not the others because it wasn't their fault." - Has a horrible "sign in" system - Apparently everyone is a manager there - When expressed issues at another store, was told to go back to the original store with no information. - Attempts to right their, (Friar Tux), wrongs mostly dealt with company satisfaction rather than the customer -- It started with our original fitting we had. First of all, the employee, when measuring us, only measured our neck sizes and chest size. He asked what size shirts we normally wear, (large or extra large), and pants sizes, (You look like a 36" waist?). We all gave our responses, but asked him if he needed to measure us to make sure and he "confidently" answered that "it was necessary, that he had it. He had the right measurements for the suits to fit." We all felt it odd that it only took 10/12 minutes to measure five guys?!?!?!? On top of that, none of us were given any pants or suits to even try on to again verify that the "employee's" measurements were correct. The sample pants and suits were right there but never used, even when asked by me and at least two other people in our group. And though he was polite when talking to us, he interacted with us more like a buddy at a party rather than a person fitting someone for a suit Come to find out that this employee was "new" as told to us by someone when we first voiced our issues. Their "excuse" insinuated that it was because the employee was new that there was issues. If that was the case, where was the manager or supervisor to make sure that everything was done correctly? Or where is the constant mentoring to make sure that the proper training has happened and is continuing to happen. Or even more, if they already "blamed" the employee, how can they keep trying to pass blame onto the groom's party?!?!?! (Explained below) -- So after the original fitting, one of the guy's suit still wasn't completely correct, and had to come back AGAIN. He was ready to make two trips, but not a third trip, which was an extra 84 miles!!!!! Coming from out of town, when he was there on the second fitting, he "told" the employee that since they already screwed up once, that the wedding was less that 12 hours after the third fitting, and that he was not going to drive out again if they screwed up again, that they would do right by making sure to bring the size they believe would be correct and the next size, just in case. Of course, they know better than us and didn't do that, AND, the pants they resized was still not correct, but no with no time left, he was forced to go with it. -- The Father's dad was collecting his resized suit. He went in and surprisingly it was about right. But, first, the employee who was helping him wasn't fully into helping him and so at one point, when the bride's father noticed that the employee hadn't been seen for about 10 minutes, trying to help finish up, he asked another employee and was told that the employee who was helping him, was on lunch?!?!?!? The guy didn't have the professional courtesy to tell him that he needed to go to lunch, let alone, he put his "lunch" as a priority over the customer who was dealing with a service issue. And then to add more insult to injury, since his suit was hanging up ready to be bagged, but the original employee was out for lunch, when the other employee bagged his suit, they forgot to bag his pants??? WTH?!?!? And of course, we didn't noticed that until 2 1/2 hours before the start of the wedding, but fortunately, there was a family member who drove 53 miles roundtrip to bring the pants to us. This goes in line with the above comment about training. read more

Friar tux exceeded my expectations. The sales/rental associate, Ken, was able to answer all of my questions and helped me find a suitable suit for my son who was a ring bearer in a wedding. I was very happy with everything from service to the quality of the Tux. We had a quick and smooth transaction with a side of amazing costumer service at this Friar Tux! My 4 year old was tasked with being a ring barer in my sister's wedding and as such needed proper attire. I didn't want to buy some cheesy kid suit and have him look bad, so I found out that Friar Tux can suit up a toddler and went for it. The staff was super friendly with my son and even let my 2 year old daughter try on some shiny shoes during his fitting (she MUST do everything her big brother does). My husband went ahead and decided to rent a tux too since it became apparent our 4 year old would need a little support out there (turns out he didn't, but oh well). The kid's tux vest was a little dopey, it didn't have a proper back, just a halter top and waist strap, so I was a bit disappointed by that, also my husbands tux was supposed to come with a bow tie but we got a long black tie instead, oh well, little things, so I deducted 1 star. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Friar Tux! read more

Don't waste your time. Go to men's warehouse. My husband was told the dads of the court would get a free suit for Homecoming at this location by the High School and that didn't happen so we paid the $150 to rent it for tonight's game. I go to pick it up on my lunch break and you have to check in, ok cool it's Covid I get that. But you can't just pick up your paid for suit and leave. No no you have to wait while they call every person ahead of you. For me that was 5 guys getting refitted for their suits because their measurements were wrong. Where is the logic in that?!? It look me 3 mins to check out and I'm waiting 15-20 mins for these guys to be measured and checked out. Huh? Finally one of the guys told the rude lady behind the register to help me. Bless him. Now I get the suit home for my husband who doesn't get off work til 6 (when they close) and the pants are too short. Shocking since the guys before me were being remeasured. Honestly it's not with the price or headache for the poor customer service and bad tailoring. read more

A trio of stars is a fair rating for them. Their bread and butter are the high school proms and wedding parties. With that in mind, I should have known better if I was expecting better quality in tuxedos. This doesn't parallel with their customer service--their service staff is quite helpful and very engaging. 1.5 stars for the tuxedos. 4.5 stars for the great staff. I already own a bowtie, cuff links and french cuff shirt. Perhaps it's time to finally buy the rest? read more

Friar Tux - Men's Clothing Near Me - Orange, California

My fiance called Monday to confirm the pickup of the tie and pocket square rentals for himself and the groomsmen in our wedding taking place this weekend. When he called Friar Tux confirmed that all 7 ties and pocket squares would be ready for pick up in Orange on Wednesday. When he arrived they only had 3 of the 7 on hand and they told him that he would have to drive to three additional locations to get 4 ties/pocket squares as no other locations had 4 total. So now the night before we leave for our wedding we will be driving all around Orange County to pick up these rentals and Friar Tux has not provided any kind of discount for the time and gas expended as a result of their error. We have had these ordered since 2019 so it is completely unreasonable that these were not available on the pickup date, especially since he called ahead to confirm. If you are stressed planning a wedding you don't want to work with an unreliable company like Friar Tux. read more
