The turkey sandwich had a Saturday sticker on it, so I'm assuming they would throw away on Saturday. The wheat bread was dry and stale. We got the super sea, added energy and added protein. It has strawberries, banana, bananas, and a couple other things which was absolutely delicious. This is one of those places at the airport where you go because it's an option. It's meh. The prices are high, even for the airport markup. We did a couple of smoothies for the kids. I ended up finishing one that my daughter said had a funny flavor. She was right, I don't know how to describe it other than to say that it tasted artificial (maybe there was sweetener?). This Freshens is located in the upper C gates in the DFW airport. It's quite small and I almost walked right by it. I'm not a smoothie or frozen yogurt person generally but I was walking by and saw they have a vegan power berry blend (not sure that's the exact name) and I figured why not. I'm glad I did as the smoothie was pretty darn tasty. It had fresh berries (raspberries, and blue berries) with some bananas and some vegan protein powder. I'm not big on vegan protein powder either but it worked in this smoothie. The person who took my order and made my smoothie was kind and efficient. Check your receipt. I was charged for chips I didn't get. When I asked for a refund the cashier told me it would be easier for me to just get the chips I insisted I wanted a refund and not a bag of chips. She then refunded me the cost for the chips and didn't refund the taxes I paid on the chips. She told me she couldn't calculate how much tax to reimburse me. Peanut butter protein is my go to. I don't even partake in the crepes anymore because I love love this smoothie. I just got in on a red eye and low and behold I see freshens at my gate. I order the peanut butter protein and I think to myself, gets large and enjoy, you deserve it. I ordered the large and to my disappointment it was very light in color. I did not complain as this is my favorite, I taste one time and I wanted to throw it away. It taste nothing like what I always get. Very icy,less chocolate, peanut butter taste more of a ice, tsp of peanut butter, cup of protein and pinch of chocolate. I couldn't tell. I was sooo disappointed because I literally came from a red eye, exhausted and when I saw that sign my eyes lit up with joy. This was a great lesson as to wait to familiar freshen establishments and continue to patron there and also to always get a small. -------5min update------ It was in my heart to let them know that something wasn't right with my drink. So they offered to make over, I stated I can get the regular size if it matters. I got just that, regular size and the drink was made the right way. I, like one of the other customers, had a good experience. The lady at the counter was very nice. She answers my questions and made my vegan smoothie quick. The blender container looked fine to me and seemed clean. Everything was well put together. The taste was a bit too sweet but overall a very welcome smoothie for this traveler as getting vegan things in airports can be tough. I was on a layover in Dallas and was happy to see a healthier option for some food. It was right by my next gate, so it was very convenient. I usually don't like to buy smoothies at most places, since they are usually loaded with sugar. They have their nutritional information available, so you can read how much is in each smoothie and size. They have some smoothie options with less sugar and some with a lot, so make sure to look. I ordered the "Oh Kale" - which is a lesser sugar option, but holy cow... still a lot: 43g for the small size (16 oz). It tasted good.. no wonder haha. They have other food options, that I did not try, but might be a healthier option than the smoothies. I would most likely go back and try something else next time. read more

I Ordered ,then from the sink she pulled a Nasty blender which she poured the standing water out of and asked "what size?" . I asked of that blender had been cleaned and she just poured milk into it. DISGUSTING INGREDIENTS. I wanted something healthy, so I ordered their only green smoothie and asked for Greek yogurt instead of sorbet because I didn't want the added sugar. I tasted it and almost puked it was so sweet! So I asked why it was so sweet since none of the ingredients had sugar, and the girl working informed me that it was the Greek yogurt. I said Greek yogurt should not have sugar, so she shows me their "Greek yogurt"... It was a milky liquid in a milk carton, and the first 3 ingredients were water, sugar, and corn syrup.
