My dog Violet was stressed being alone all day while I work (trying-to-dig-her-way-out-of-my-condo kind of stressed). Cassandra and her daycare set-up ended being the perfect fit. When she had Violet and I come over for an introduction, Violet relaxed quickly and made herself at home on Cassandra's sofa, just like she'd do at home. I found that Cassandra is a delight to work with: she's very communicative and responsive and willing to accommodate special requests where she can. I was nervous about Violet's first day because she didn't love another, larger day care that I tried, but Cassandra sent me pictures of a happy dog before I had even gotten to my office. These days, Violet can't wait to get inside to see her friends. This is a dog who used to need to know where I was at all times and would never choose to go with someone else if I was there. Now she doesn't even look back at me when I drop her off. And I love that.

MJ came to our house to feed the cats while we were away and was accommodating when I called after her visits to see how the cats were doing. I believe different sitters work in different towns, but we're glad MJ is in our town! She is very caring and genuinely concerned about all the pets she cares for. The company has also been very responsive via email, which is helpful when you don't have a lot of free time to make phone calls. We are looking forward to our next vacation, knowing that our cats will be well cared for while we're away.

I've been taking my pets to Countryside for about 6 months now and I have been extremely happy with…read morethe treatment. Yes, CVH is pricey. But they have top rated vets working there and they go the extra mile for a sick pet. Case in point: my 5 year old cat became deathly ill last year with internal bleeding and diarrhea. I went through two vets before CVH who diagnosed him as having giardia (which made no sense since he's an indoor cat) and digestive issues. All the while he just kept getting sicker to the point where he was hooked up to IVs for a while. As a last resort before deciding whether to put him down, I brought him to Countryside where they did a biopsy and sent his slides to Cornell (!) for detailed analysis. They were able to conclude that he had gotten into and eaten something toxic and we were finally able to treat him. Guess what? Jazz survived and is back to his old, healthy self. I'm sticking with Countryside.

I lost two cats to their discontinuity, and lack of prpoer follow-up here. Vets go on for a 4 day- long hour shift. They are tired, they do not remember your cat. You get less than personal service. It is another example of what is happening to healthcare in this country both for people and for animals. I am afraid to adopt another cat as I have so much trauma associated with visits to this place.

People at our puppy class recommended TLC Petcare - they were so right - Gail, the owner, and her entire staff are the BEST. Gail came to the house to meet our dog before the first walk. They're super dependable, responsible, caring, -- one day I happened to be home when Gail came to pick our dog up for Playgroup and when he saw her truck pull up he was off the wall excited. He pranced all the way to the truck with her, hopping and jumping and wagging his tail. They leave updates after every single walk or playgroup. They'll make sure all is well in your house when you're not there - filling up the water bowls, etc. I feel so comfortable knowing that when I can't be at home that our dog is well taken care of.

I'm so glad that I found StrutnPup!…read more We originally contacted Daria (the owner) for cat care for vacations. I had a death in the family and needed to (last minute) reschedule the initial consult for cat care - Daria was flexible and understanding. We then adopted a dog and setup to meet for both a cat care and dog walking consult. Daria is very friendly, asks great questions, and is easy to talk to. She also calmly went through our entire consult while my dog was howling at her. Our dog got into some raisins and Daria was very understanding about needing to cancel dog walking (our girl ended up having to stay in the hospital). She even texted me outside of the StrutnPup app to ask how our girl was. StrutnPup uses an app which makes scheduling and communicating easy. Daria always sends a photo and update on the walks she does with our dog. Communication is great with StrutnPup: Daria started out being our dog's walker for the first couple of months. She was very forthcoming about training one of her walkers to take over and is doing a few walks where the walker shadows her before letting him takeover.
