Plenty of parking

I didn't realize that Fresh Thyme was an upscale grocery store. Has a lot of healthy items. Nuts, berries, vitamins, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, even wine. Great local option if you need to pick something up and don't want to go to Wally World. Very clean, nice employees, and great variety. Also, they are not overly busy and have plenty of parking. Will definitely be going back.

Buddha's Hand Citron

We went to Fresh Thyme the other day since we were in the area and wanted to pick up a few things. We hit the produce section and I came across an interesting fruit I have never seen. I've included pictures - it's called Buddha's Hand Citron. I did not purchase one, I was merely admiring it's beauty and uniqueness and appreciative that Fresh Thyme would have such an item. Fresh Thyme tends to carry some unique items that other groceries may not. The prices are generally higher than Meijers but it is a totally different shopping experience and a different target audience.

We will not be back to this location. Simply rude.

This is my first and last time at the Carmel Fresh Thyme. I am a regular at the Fishers location for good reason. I am making my errands and preparing for Thanksgiving. I was in the area and decided to stop in while in the area. My focus was the meat department. More specifically shrimp that was on sale. I was told the same shrimp was out in the case and was pointed in the other direction. So my friend and I waked over and the shrimp just didn't look as good as what we saw in the case. So we walked back over and was ignored. After they greeted everyone else and made small talk the other gentlemen walked over and said "yeah!?" I told him I wanted what was in the case. He said, fine! If that's what you want. He packaged me up, ran past me and grabbed the frozen bag from the cooler to refill his case to prove a point. Regardless, if it was the same shrimp or not, as a guest Jeff & John should not of been so hostile toward us. We literally felt timid about asking for anything else. That was the only thing we bought and left. Spent $20 and we usually spend $200, 2x's a week. We won't be back.

Caroline's Cart

I am sooooo glad Fresh Thyme is now in Carmel. I love it there. I love double ad Thursday. This location is so perfect. I love everything about this store. The produce sales are so amazing and everything is always fresh. I was glad to see they had a Caroline's cart. It caught my eye as soon as I walked in. Caroline's Cart is a shopping cart created for special needs children. It provides parents a way to transport a child through the store while grocery shopping, without having to push a wheelchair and a cart at the same time. I think I first saw them on FB. I look forward to shopping here often now they are closer to my house!

In case you haven't noticed, Fresh Thyme will make you a fresh pizza while you grocery shop! They're very generous with toppings and even did halfies for my finicky family. No need to make yet another stop to pick up a pizza. Awesome!

Had a question so I figured I'd come back in a bit. Came back 10 minutes later and he was still on his phone. Sad.

I'm conflicted between the 2 and 3 's. I'm not sure what happened to all the wonderful employees. There is one guy behind the meat counter that I almost always see, super pleasant and helpful (they make their own chicken and pork sausages). The last time I was there a manager actually scolded a cashier right in front of me. I wish I would had said something.

Grand Opening of the Fresh Thyme in Carmel.

Clean, fresh, and everyone looks happy. Business as usual. Exactly what you would expect. Very convenient location for Carmel, Westfield, and Noblesville residents. Next to gas station.

I haven't perused the pantry aisles as much, but I would think those prices are a little marked up in comparison to nearby Kroger or Aldi.

The market was festive with music playing and over 80 local vendors. Vendor tents are spread out with lots of space. A yoga class was offered near the amphitheater stage. We found a good mix of vendors with about a dozen selling local produce, my primary interest. The veggies looked fresh and I bought corn, dill and the most beautiful and freshest eggplants that I have ever seen. Prices were reasonable. Venders were selling everything from baked goods, local meats, fresh cut flowers and honey. There were some vendors selling craft and artisan items. Most notable to me was a vendor selling beautiful hand crafted leather items. We saw about a dozen food trucks selling breakfast items, coffee, smoothies, donuts and more. I thought the food trucks were on the expensive side but I only checked out a couple. Vendors were friendly and engaging for the most part. I like interacting with the local farm crowd. I'll be back.

The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I ordered a tuna sandwich with marinated Greek salad and ice tea. The sandwich was prepared quickly and the multigrain bread was fresh and nutty. My husband had the roast beef sandwich, which was packed with meat and cheese. He loved it. A staff member checked on us to see if we needed anything while we were eating. There is plenty of seating and patio seating as well. The space is shared with Slapfish. I think parking can get tight during peak hours, but there were not many people during Saturday lunchtime. The market also sells fresh veggies, staples and locally made products. This deli is a slam dunk in my book. I'll be back.

Arrive as early as you can on your chosen day between Thanksgiving and Christmas. In the years I've gone to the Markt, the service is always friendly and the food stalls are usually pretty quick about it, or as best they can be with the given volume of foot traffic. There's tons of food, ranging from classic bratwursts to the more Americanized options like pizza and waffles and then to the more adventurous sauerkraut and mushrooms! There's plenty of vegetarian options too - I really like the hot noodles with cheese (casespaetzle) and the spiral-cut potato on a stick! Let me try to list out all the things I've tried at the Markt this past year, and just rate by a simple pick (yes, you should try it) or pitch (not really worth it if you want guaranteed flavor) - Doner kebab: PICK - Walking waffle: pitch - Belgian hot chocolate: pick (it's expensive though, $11 in 2025) - Peppermint hot chocolate: pick - Sautéed mushrooms and sauerkraut: pitch - Kielbasa: pick - Hot noodles with cheese: pick - Spiral potato on a stick: pick - Chimney cake: pitch It's all great food but can be slightly expensive. There are definitely plenty of things that are under $10 if you look, and usually the vegetarian options are around that price. The stalls/huts are all very scenic with a cabin-like design, so the market is very charming. Each hut also has a German trivia sign on it. My favorite huts are the loose leaf teas and the German candies/treats. There's also a ton of handmade stuff like beer steins that would make excellent Christmas gifts. Christkindlmarkt is hugely popular for many reasons: food, atmosphere, ice skating, and maybe even the collectible boot mugs! The design changes every year, and they're only $8 so it's also a nice souvenir.

I anticipated being the only person walking around the market while all the vendors stared at me, but no. Lots of shoppers, lots of produce and bread and tea and honey and sweets and meats and goods, and lots of samples. What I love about farmers markets in general (and this one specifically) is that each person selling their goods is super excited to tell you all about them, how they made them or grew them, what to eat them with or how to use them. On this visit, I bought some tea from the Tarkington Tea booth, a boule of French bread from The Bearded Baker, honey sticks from Dragonwood Honey & Maple and a dried cow hoof for my doggie from Becker Farms. I was eyeing the pea shoots at another stall, but I'll have to come back and buy those another time -- the guy was busy and had a line of customers. This indoor farmers market is located at Roy G. There isn't a hot breakfast option so don't plan on eating here like you can during the summer. If you're looking for fresh delicious produce this is a good market, if you also go to the summer one for entertainment, this is not the same as that market.
