This isn't my usual grocery store, but I happened to stop by here before the huge snowstorm was supposed drop 12 inches of snow on Central Indiana. Although I wasn't here to stock up on the usual pre-blizzard items like milk, bread, and eggs, I was impressed to see that these items were well stocked at T minus 3 hours before snowmageddon was supposed to begin. After I picked up several items for myself and a few things for a friend I faced the long checkout lines. I'm usually a self-checkout line person but today the cashier lines were much shorter. The line I was in moved very quickly. The cashier was a rock star! And despite the crowd she was pleasant and friendly. Good job, Kroger, on being well stocked and well staffed the day of a record snowfall forecast. read more

Almost four years since the pandemic started, and I'm still doing my weekly curbside order from Kroger. The staff members who load up my car are always fast and friendly. The only reason I'm docking a star is because I've had a few instances lately where they cannot fulfill my order during the time slot I selected because they are short staffed. One time, they called me about five minutes before my hour-long pickup window was set to begin. I think it was probably due to winter weather and cold temperatures, but just something I've observed. This is the nicest Kroger in Hamilton County. Hands down. It's not dirty, everything is organized, there's an array of selections. I can go here and get what I need instead of going to another Kroger elsewhere, then having to run to Meijer. Go to any other Kroger and look at how sloppy and old their food is in the section where you can get a chicken meal with corn and potatoes (or whatever else they have). That is if they even have food in their warmers. They're disgusting. I don't understand why all the other's Kroger's here can't follow Rangeline's footsteps. How hard is it to have a clean, organized store, with a 'food court' that doesn't look like it's been touched for 14 hours? read more

Very honest stuff at customer service desk. On Monday Feb 5, 2024 my 10 year old dropped an envelope with $50 cash in it while choosing Prime bottle and customer service lady apparently picked it up and saved it at the customer service desk. It was around 4 pm. When I realized he lost it somewhere we came back to this Kroger and they had his envelope. So we were so happy!!!!! Thank you so much honest lady, you know who you are. My kid was so happy as this was his prize money he got 15 min earlier!! We are so appreciative of you. Faith is the humanity exists. read more

I love this Kroger location because they have an amazing salad bar and freshly prepared food section that rivals the salad bar option that Marsh used to offer. I visit often to grab a salad, deli items or other groceries when I've forgotten to or didn't have time to pack a lunch for work. The salad bar is usually fully stocked by 8am, but sometimes they don't put the utensils out right away :-( Aside from that, I love the selection of items they offer. They also have an area near their meat department where you can choose from a variety of Simple Truth Sautes. They have frozen, prepared entrees and sides that you can select and weight out the amount needed for your family. I find this much more convenient and healthy than purchasing from the frozen food aisle. It's more customizable and if you like the Simple Truth brand of foods, this is right up your alley! The store shelves are always well-stocked and the aisles are kept clean. I've had minimal interaction with the staff, but they seem to be pretty nice too. read more

I stopped into Kroger today to grab a couple of things around lunchtime. Since I was there, I decided to check out their lunch options in the deli area. I saw a custom made burger station and decided that's what I was going to do for lunch. They have several different options for a burger (beef, turkey, chicken, portabella mushroom) and just as many options when it comes to cheese and bread. They also had a fair amount of toppings. I went for a 1/3 beef patty with cheddar cheese, bacon, mushroom, pickle and mayo on a sesame seed bun. Fries? Sure.. why not. In total, a little over $7 for lunch that wasn't bad at all. The burger was satisfying and the fries.. were delicious! I'll be back.. and it'll be because of the fries. read more

How did the city of Carmel allow these mongoloids to set up a business with such a terrible parking and traffic arrangement? This place is a nightmare at all times, but on a weekend, you are bound to see at least one elderly person get backed into by another elderly person. The parking lot would be too tight if everyone were required to drive smart cars, but this Carmel, so I'm dodging smokin' hot soccer moms who can't see over their fake tits as they roll through in Denali's, Escalades, EV Hummers, Rovers, Mercedes trucks. The parking lot on a Saturday afternoon is more absurdly packed, and ASTOUNDINGLY dangerous. read more

This Kroger has a few really amazing employees and cashiers specifically. But you can tell these few employees are sooo overworked. I hope they are hiring because every time I go to this Kroger, I am waiting in line behind 10 people for the 1 open cashier. There's one cashier who is always so nice and doesn't seem annoyed, always has a smile on her face despite dealing with somewhat irritable customers who had to wait in line forever. She deserves an award. Need more cashiers so that awesome ones like her stick around! read more

I was in the area and needed to stop in for a few things. I also wanted to get gas since my regular Kroger doesn't have a Kroger gas station out front. (It was formerly a Marsh location.) It was super busy for the middle of the day on a Wednesday- might have been because the NYE holiday was the next day but the parking lot and inside were both crowded. It took me some time to find a few items since this isn't my normal location but I was able to track almost everything down. Sadly, they didn't have a specific liquor that I was looking for which was surprising because they had a big alcohol section. The Kroger I usually go to, that has a much smaller liquor selection, ended up having it...go figure. I will likely not stop in again but will use my fuel points at the gas station if I'm in the area. read more

So I usually don't do Yelp reviews of grocery stores. I mean, it is a store. You go in and you buy food and you get out. However, I received some excellent service this past Monday. While I was ordering at the deli counter, I forgot my order of roast beef. The clerk tracked me down a couple isles away and handed the order to me. The pick-your-own mushrooms counter stole the show. Who doesn't love feeling like the farmer without all the real work of a farmer? Friends have been raving about the updated Kroger, so I finally made my return visit to the location last week to purchase Broad Ripple Potato Chips (they have them - along with several other local products - however, I think there is still room for growth in this area). Note: there Broad Ripple Chips are only $2.99 - the cheapest I've ever seen them. I especially enjoyed the layout of the produce section and deli. This is in response to a shopping trip at 1217 S Rangeline Road on 3/2/2021. My family and I have been buying salmon from Kroger for years, mainly because the butcher's counter has always been pleasant and the prices have been competitive. Our favorite weekly purchase has been a pound to a pound and a half of center-cut salmon. This has never been a problem until today. When asked, the butcher behind the counter refused to do the cut and said that it would be a dollar extra. I pointed out there are no signs or markings that specify this. He responded by getting out pre-packaged salmon and saying if I wanted the center, I had to buy something that was cut at some point in the past and that it would be extra. This has never been listed or shown and has not been an issue until now, but the butcher and his Assistant were adamant. When I asked a manager, he said, "It's a dollar more. We have to throw out the tail, so if you want the premium cut, you pay extra." I asked if the steak that was cut was priced differently if it was set out, and he just said, "that's all the same price." No offer to make this right. No acknowledgement of the lack of signs noting this. Nothing. It's the first time I've ever lost my cool with a Kroger manager, and I assure you, it will be the last. I would also point out I clearly stated what I wanted before they got to cutting. The butcher didn't bother to correct me or let me know ahead of time- he waited until the product was already cut and weighed, and I was the one who noticed. Again, not the most honest. There are three Kroger's within roughly equal driving distance of my home, and the other two have never made this an issue or pushed back. Instead, they just cut the fish to order, just like a customer would expect at a butcher's counter. This is the second bad experience we've had at the fish counter, and I don't plan on having a third. If we're going to be lied to or run up on pricing because the butcher's counter can't manage themselves properly, then our money can spend just as easily elsewhere. A quick google search showed two non-Kroger stores within equal distance that sold the same or equivalent products as what we ended up buying. And I get you may not care, but that's one more family spending money elsewhere, and if we're noticing, others will. Short of it is, we're not spending our money at a store that hides its prices and then gets confrontational. I'm not giving you money if I'm going to be lied to about what I'm buying and ignored when I point it out to your managers. read more

Kroger is where I do my grocery shopping since it is not far from my place and with my plus card, I get great deals and discount on gasoline. The free Friday download is wonderful since I get a free product every Friday. The only criticism is they do not have enough bag boys or girls at each checkout line so that the customer does not have to bag their own groceries. It is not a big deal, but would just like to see that going forward. Lately, given what we are going through with covid-19, I have taken advantage of home delivery through the Kroger app on my phone. It has been good, but a little disappointing with the service. I understand it takes longer due to the high demand of food and necessities, but the people delivering groceries have been unprofessional and smelling like cigarette smoke when they deliver the food and the smell carries into my place. Kroger needs to evaluate who they hire as drivers for groceries and make sure they are presentable and professional when delivering groceries to customers. Other than that, I have no problem with Kroger and will continue to shop here for groceries on a regular basis. read more

The unique part: They have a sushi train and mushrooms growing in a patch that you're allowed to pick fresh. They also have cooking classes here. I'm updating my review to include the remodeled Kroger, now that it's finished. Wow, what a great grocery store. There are so many great features that it's almost overwhelming. I especially love that they have so many eating options here, and lots of places to sit. This is most definitely the best grocery store I've seen in the area so far. OK, now for the nit-picky part. Despite all the selection, there are food items I still can't find here, including pastina (that pasta that looks like tiny stars), milk chocolate chips that aren't generic (I'm looking for Ghirardelli) and, of all things, leeks (I asked -- they didn't have them). These are things that are normally on my shopping list, so it's a drag to not find them here. Despite that, though, this Kroger is awesome. read more

I was in two Kroger's yesterday ... first the new Carmel store. A+mazing! It's more of an experience than a grocery store, and you get the good Kroger prices and sales at a store where the floors are so clean and shiny you could eat your sushi on them (if you don't want to sit at their eat-in sushi bar!). Live harp/guitar musicians from the second floor balcony playing beautiful renditions of Clapton, Tom Petty and Billy Joel was so nice and relaxing. Little Clinic was a bonus; got my BP checked by a human being. Second store was Geist Kroger. Felt like skid row after being at the new store. Carmel Kroger - destination grocery even if you have to drive a bit. A new bar has been set for sure. Post script: Everyone at the Carmel Kroger was super friendly and helpful. When I went to the Geist Kroger later in the day, well, every one just seemed to be in a daze. Three workers at the checkout basically ignored me as I was "processed." This Kroger is a remodeled high-end Kroger with great features such as local meats and veggies, combined with your Kroger standard fair. When you first walk in, you'll find a Starbucks and a plentiful area for produce. Head to the food court area and you will find the one food thing I've been hoping would make its way to Indiana: a Sushi train! Delicious small portions of sushi traveling around a conveyer belt just begging for you to grab them! But if you aren't a sushi fan, there is pizza, design your own burger station, a burrito and bowl area, sub station and other options too! Beyond the food court is a deli meat station and bakery. Fresh bread to grab, and even pick up a slice of cake from Cake Bake Shop! There are plenty of gourmet bakery options in addition to cake bake, too. If you want it, it's probably and option. There is also a very impressive cheese shop and wine area! Tons and tons of cheese to choose from. Wonderful! As you walk out of this area, you'll find and impressive meat selection where they even have butchers to cut your steak to order. From there, you'll find a nicer version of your standard Kroger, with your standard Kroger pricing. This place is great for those who want to dabble in some unique or specialty grocery while still being able to get their Kroger brand eggs and milk. There is even Valet parking and a gas station in the same parking lot. This place is great- definitely worth checking out. read more

Kroger may be a grocery store but this one is so much more than that. This is every person's dream come true when it comes to another day of not knowing what you want for lunch. They have everything.. Burgers, pizza, sandwiches, DIY salad bar with endless toppings, a Sushi train, hot foods that they're always rotating through, Asian foods.. literally everything. My favorite though is the salad bar. They have a few different types that are already made that you can choose from, but they also have the ones you can make yourself. They offer spinach, mixed greens, or just your regular salad lettuce. And the toppings, oh the toppings! They have every salad topping that you could ever hope for. Not to mention, it's so affordable. The most I ever paid for a salad here was $6 and that's when I really piled on the toppings. Their broccoli and cheddar soup is also the bomb.com! Very similar to Panera's. I should mention that their soups are out of sight. They're located at the end of one of the aisles that's closer to the produce section. They do have seating on the lower level as well as upstairs and even outdoors if you're looking to dine in. Did I mention that they have live music? Yes indeed they do! They're located in the upstairs dining area and can be heard almost throughout the whole store. Pretty cool if you ask me! The staff here are also the friendliest I've come across when it comes to a grocery store. They always have a smile on their face and never hesitate to ask if you need help finding anything. The facts: - Amazingggg produce, including hard to find items and a large organic selection, found in a section that could fit some gas stations/small stores in it. This is a great Kroger location. I do my larger grocery shops here often. I am always impressed with the cleanliness and organization. The aisles are almost always fully stocked. One of the best parts is their flower section. They always have a section of bouquets and fillers that are VERY cheap, (sometimes just $1 or $2). These discount flowers are still in good shape and a truly great deal. In terms of staff, the Kroger workers are friendly. One of the main meat counter workers is very friendly and chatty and will give you recipe ideas if you're interested. I always use self check out which works nicely- but I cannot vouch for the efficiency and amount of check-out workers/ baggers. read more

I didn't know I could love a grocery store this much, but I really do! I am so spoiled to live so close to this Kroger. Every single staff at Kroger is super helpful and are always smiling, no matter what. I particularly enjoy the food stand right at the entrance. They have samples for customers and always some kind of tea as well. Today's was Turkey Hill Peach Sweet Tea. I have to say it makes the grocery shopping experience that much better after a sip of sweet tea. Two incidents that make me a super fan of this Kroger. 1) I asked one of the staff for pre-packaged ground pork and he pointed out one that is $2.99/lb. I felt like it was a bit expensive but I needed it for the day, so I got only one pound and went on with my grocery shopping. While I was browsing through other sections in the store, the same staff came running after me and told me that he found some ground pork for $.99/lb and asked if I wish to reconsider and offered to put the more expensive ground pork back. Of course, I said yes. I'm just so surprised that he came half way across the store to look for me, just so I could save more on my grocery. That is excellent customer service, he deserves a gold star! 2) Another time, I was looking for high-fiber wheat bread. I stood at the aisle and carefully looked through all the bread and couldn't find a single loaf, but I definitely saw the label on the shelf. So I decided to ask a staff to see if there was more in the back. Mark was very helpful despite he was in the middle of helping another person. He looked through the shelf with me and even offered me a free loaf of high-fiber bread "on the house". I didn't even know that was possible. He said because I couldn't get what they should have, Kroger would give me bread for free. Need I say more? This Kroger is the best! read more

As far as big groceries go, this is one of my fav. The new renovation leaves shoppers feeling like they had more of an experience than just a quick grocery run. Between the sushi train, grab-n-go options, and Starbucks inside, there's a lot more than a normal grocery too. The wine selection is large and there is often a person willing to help recommend things with a certain meal. They carry almost everything food-wise and the checkout is always quick and as pleasant as can be. Also, they are open pretty late which is convenient when you forget something or are hungry late at night. Overall, great store and experience. Definitely get a free Kroger rewards card because I save hundreds of dollars a year between fuel and groceries!! Couldn't ask for more. read more

Oh my goodness! The fact that I'm excited about a grocery store makes no sense! Lol! This store is amazing! I came in on a lunch break and got a vegan burrito bowl from the cafe section. It was sooo good!! They had so many options! Asian, hot food, pizza, salad bar, and more! Everything was clean. I went through a couple aisles to check things out and the or "better" option items were marked within the aisle to stand out. I loved that! The whole set up was better than any Kroger I have ever seen. I will certainly be returning to get a real experience but that quick lunch break pit stop sold me!! read more
