I cannot tell you how happy we were to find this place! The service was second to none! Fast and friendly! We arrived from Indiana with 4 adults and 6 foreign exchange students and we weren't sure what we wanted exactly. Eaten here several times, it's normally incredibly mediocre but last night we ordered take out, we found several pieces of hair in our pizza. Not just sitting on top, but actually baked into the cheese. I called the next day to let the owner know. He said we must be very special because that's only happened twice in the last four years! Wow don't I feel special! I asked for a refund which he objected to and instead offered in store credit because it was easier than issuing the refund. Local spot in SRQ near downtown. I had worked up an appetite shredding the gnarly at Payne Park Skate Park right across the street on my preowned razor scooter, and had an urge for a sausage pizza.... There's indoor seating, but it's mainly a take out spot. New York style pizza with thinner crust. Absolutely the best cheese pizza I have ever eaten! great crust, tons of cheese, sauce in perfect amount and flavor. Having recently moved to near the downtown area of town, we were excited about finding new neighborhood food spots. We'd passed this lil pizza joint weekly so finally decided to give it a try. We went without checking reviews first and am glad we did. First impressions - definitely gives that "family run business" vibe, in a good way. Small, cramped entry but surprisingly roomy dining room. He was busy with a few takeout orders when we arrived, but he acknowledged us and had us grab a table. Apparently, he was shorthanded as although we heard another person's voice from the kitchen, we never saw anyone but the owner. He was preparing orders, cashiering, and serving. So, it took a bit before he was able to come take our orders. Roughly about 10-15 minutes. But we didn't hold it against him as he was hustling as fast as he could. There was another table with about 8 folks there ahead of us. After he took our orders (2 medium pizzas and sodas) it took around another 10-15 minutes for the food to come out. We both agreed it was worth the wait! The pizza was some of the best thin crust pizza I've had in a long while. The toppings were all fresh and flavorful. The crust was crisp with just enough chew. Great pizza! Also, the other table ordered several pasta dishes and they looked great also. The owner was very friendly and apologetic for being understaffed. The awesome pizza made up for any lil inconvenience we went through. Rude staff , owner got mad that i asked about the 4$ service fee just for eating at his shop. I was the only one in the whole restaurant and didn't even get good service. Pizza is great but the Alfredo pasta tasted funny, tasted more like cheese whiz. When i told the owner that it didn't taste right he asked what it's supposed to taste like, i didn't want to hurt his feelings and tell him it was the worst pasta i ever tasted so i said idk. The staff was nice, the chicken wings were fine. The pizza was about the worst I have had since I ate at a place in Billings, Montana in 2017. The pizza crust was almost impossibly chewy. There was barlely any cheese. The sauce must have been put on with an eye dropper and they where stingy with the peperoni. A dry, chewy, flavorless pizza is not my idea of what pizza should be. Eating pizza on Halloween has been a tradition for over 25 years. This was the first time I wish I had started a different tradition I can not recommend this place for their pizza. Maybe other items on the menu are good, I have no idea; I have no desire or plans to find out. Just flat out disappointing. read more

A hidden gem- My wife and I are staying on Lido Beach for vacation. We were both craving a quality pizza and a nice wine for dinner. We ordered delivery and the food showed up on time. Make sure to call into the restaurant to order for delivery so the restaurant gets more of the money and also arrives in a more timely manner. The order of mild wings were awesome, best part of the meal. I will definitely be ordering medium wings next time that I won't have to share them. Mild had very little kick as was expected but great flavor. Since it was delivered, bruschetta probably wasn't the best choice but it actually still turned out really good, just a little soggy which I can't say I'm surprised. Overall a terrible experience. Placed an online order at 6pm on Sat night where the delivery time showed as 40 mins. Once the order was placed received notification it would not be delivered until 7:30! This was after paying a $13.95 delivery fee. Called the restaurant and asked to cancel and get a refund. The manager on duty assured me the order was on its way and would arrive much earlier than 7:31 and refused to cancel and refund the order. After many phone calls back and forth with the manager where he was extremely rude ( he kept call me back after hanging up on me) and a continuous ask to cancel the order and provide a refund the cold pizza arrives at 7:57. So good we ordered twice in one week! First we ordered pizza and caesar salad - dough was great, and the toppings were fresh. They were generous with the real deal parmesan on the salad. So I tried it twice, hoping it'd be better the second time. I was disappointed. The first order was chicken marsala, it had a sweet taste and had a cinnamon flavor. Neither were appealing, I eat everything, and couldn't finish that. Tried again last night. We ordered lasagna and spaghetti and meatballs. The lasagna was a small portion, overcooked and very dry. It didn't taste awful, but it wasn't good either. My son ate the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were ok, but the sauce tasted like something plain out of a can, and had no seasoning. Gave this place 5 stars when it opened in 2019 because they deserved it. The family sold the business recently so I'm updating my review. The new owner seems to be talking credit for last years reviews and I can't say he or she deserves to. The once delicious garlic knots are now garlic nots. I've included a photo of what they looked like when I got them. And the pizza is now just bland. I know it's probably hard to replicate someone else's terrific food and hire happiness but the delicious food and Nancy's big smile and beautiful personality are sorely missed there now. When we order through DoorDash the order is almost always incorrect and the restaurant always blames the Dasher. When we tried ordering direct the first time they wanted to charge almost $10 MORE than we would've paid through DoorDash. The next time we called for a direct order they wanted to charge a ridiculous $15 delivery fee. The only reason we kept going back is because I have a garlic allergy and they are the only place around without garlic in their sauce.
