Been going for years - as with most places, it was great in beginning but has creeped down in quality. Still a solid choice for somewhat healthier food, albeit a bit salty. Would ask that they label their chicken. It used to be a mix of white and dark, but now all grilled options appear to be all thigh - not a fan. read more

Fresh Kitchen is my go-to spot whenever I need to grab something to eat if my cooking fails me (which is rare ). Every single time I order from Fresh Kitchen, it satisfies me. It keeps me full the whole night, and honestly just makes me feel good after eating there. The sweet potato noodles are ridiculously good, and somehow everything I order always complements each other perfectly. There's this balance and flow between the flavors, textures, and ingredients that just hits every time. The texture is spot on, the flavor is amazing, and I genuinely feel healthier eating it while still hitting my protein goals. Some people prefer Chipotle as their go to meal -- personally, I'd take Fresh Kitchen every time. I also love that they don't use seed oils. I can't stand putting that stuff into my body. Fresh Kitchen just tastes cleaner, fresher, and leaves me feeling energized instead of feeling sluggish and inflamed. read more

I was driving to a sub sandwich shop nearby when I tripped across Fresh Market on the way. Based on the yelp reviews I decided to give it a try. The place is like a non-Mexican-food version of Chipotle; modern industrial atmosphere, healthier food, a huge crowd of teens and college-age students waiting in line to order a custom bowl of food and not an empty seat in the dining room. Keeping the dining area clean is next to impossible because of the number of customers and rapid turnover, so I ordered my salmon bowl to go and ate it in my car. Portions are reasonable if not generous and prices are competitive but not a bargain. I had to pay extra for my 2.5 oz piece of roasted salmon which was excessive. Otherwise the food was good and I'd come here again when looking for something besides Jimmy John's or Chipotle or Poke'. read more

Got a bowl: salmon, sweet potato noodles, green beans + broccoli with cucumber jalapeno sauce. Good size bowl but om the pricier side. Wish portion or salmon was bigger. Green beans were a bit tough. Salmon was well seasoned, good texture, and not fishy. Service was good, ambiance was decent but ordered to go so cant speak too much on dine in experience. read more

Dear Mr. Eric Smithers I am writing to share a disappointing experience I had at your New Tampa location. While placing my order, I felt that I was being rushed before I had an opportunity to decide what I wanted. The staff appeared impatient throughout the interaction as I was on the phone with my elderly mother trying to explain the options to her so I may bring her a meal from your popular establishment. When I calmly expressed that I felt I was being rushed and asked for patience, instead of addressing my concern, I was told that i was being rude. The staff were rolling their eyes and purposely ignoring my corrections as I tried to clearly give them my choices. They were also throwing the food in the plates. My concerns were dismissed, rather than acknowledged. They were just silently being nasty by using body language and they were very intentional so that I would be provoked. My plates were pushed to the side while they finished other orders and when I called the server on it. The manager came over and accused me of being rude and became very provoking by gaslighting me, into I being the problem, and instead of helping I was chastised and told that if I did not stop talking my order would not be completed and I will not be served. When I tried to tell the manager that I was not angry and that Im trying to talk loud enough so they can hear the order over loud music and other background noises I was again accused of being rude. I did not cuss or say anything that was disrespectful to any server just begging to finish my meal request so I may pay and leave, the manager proceeded to chastise and berate me in front of other customers and took my plates and threw them away. The situation escalated to the point where I was told that the staff would not continue taking my order. I left feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and unwelcome. I sir with all do respect am a 53 year old grandmother and a nurse for over 30 years of service. The level of disrespect I received was horrible and instead of protecting the customer the manager encouraged that behavior even when I begged to just finish the order. I understand that restaurants can be busy, and I always try to treat staff respectfully. However, I believe customers should also be treated with patience, courtesy, and should be heard before judgment was made. I hope this incident can be reviewed so that future customers do not have a similar experience. Also my poor mother was on the phone listening to the entire interaction and she agreed that I was not given an opportunity to explain or to finish my order I was dismissed and continuously provoked during that interaction. I would appreciate a response regarding how this matter will be addressed. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Ms. Sakinah Haynes Sent from my iPad read more

Imagine chipotle, but much better! Fresh reminds me of a smaller, upscale version of chipotle. The inside was nice. They seem to cater to the healthy crowd, with options for vegans, vegetarians, and clean eaters. I got 2 bases, 2 veggies, and 2 meats. The kale salad and great and the cauliflower mash was outstanding!! It had a perfect mashed potato texture with a nice buttery flavor. The broccoli and sweet potatoes were also flavorful and cooked well. The steak was cooked well, but the chicken was a bit burned. Overall, it was a nice, clean meal. My only complaints were the burnt chicken and some of the processed were a bit high . read more

3 Bowl with steak and added cucumber salad. Tasty fresh and quick dinner. Some of the steak was on the chewy side but overall this was a solid bowl. It was very filling! Up charge for steak is $4 so this 3 bowl was $15 - I do wish for the bowl bases they let you choose two like half and half without getting the 4 bowl. Parking at this location (if you park in front) is terrible always go to the back lot if you can! Service was quick and I did dine in but it was freezing in this location! read more

We stopped by this place to pick up gluten free and vegan food before going to Tampa International Airport. The traffic was awful, but parking in front of the store was mercifully easy. The food is all gluten free, and if you're vegan you are out of luck for their "protein" choices, but the chickpeas are listed as a vegetable option, and are very tasty. It's expensive for the portion size, but better than taking your chances with whatever is available at the airport. Service is great, ambience is clean and simple but they need more vegan options. read more

After a long flight, I really wanted something healthy and quick to eat. I'm so happy to have come across Fresh Kitchen. I checked out their menu, placed my order through Uber Eats and my order arrived at my hotel room in 15 minutes. The food was fresh, seasoned well, and satisfying. No regrets at all ordering the Three Bowl with COCONUT GINGER RICE , SWEET POTATOES, ROSEMARY CHICKEN, LEMON GARLIC BROCCOLI, and COCONUT SRIRACHA SAUCE. I would reorder and recommend it to others. read more

Went in after work and if you know anything about Tampa that's like the hardest time to get anything done quickly but they had me in and out in minutes I got my food and I was back home diving in. The team members were helpful I haven't been here in a while so he was helping me decide and giving me ideas on flavor pairings. Loved the chickpeas but my one comment would be on the creamy Sriracha. It lacked the spice or kick I was anticipating. I did add my own pickled onions but the rest is all FK and to make matters better they are seed oil free which in is much needed when so much of our food has been modified and is no longer healthy. As always the ambiance was clean and easy to maneuver read more

I've been a Fresh Kitchen follower since they opened in Tampa on Howard many moons ago. Since that location closed, the one on Kennedy is my go to. It's much easier to get in and out of, especially if you utilize the parking in the back. I tend to go off hours between lunch and dinner, although there is always a line, It moves very quickly. It's your typical build your own bowl place. Fresh Kitchen offers very fresh and healthy food. I love their Kale Caesar, mushrooms, carrots, barbecue chicken and steak. Staff is quite friendly and when I've been there, they have always had their act together. For a fast casual meal that's good for you they can't be beat. read more

had lunch here with a friend and it was so amazing!! I was looking for something simple and health conscious, and this spot was the perfect place. The portions are so so big. I got a 6 item bowl because I was super hungry, but I couldn't even finish half of it!! The almond chicken was my favorite protein!! Such a cool flavor and the crunchiness of the almonds complements the tender chicken well. The broccoli was well seasoned, and the mushrooms were delicious. I also added a scoop of avocado, and it was so worth the additional cost. The inside is so cute! Pink and green with great photo opps!! The service was great too! read more

One liner: imagine fast food but with healthy whole foods and a cute pink aesthetic, went here 2x on my 1.5 day Florida trip so you know it's good --------------------------------- Food: Create your own bowl concept with bases, veggies, protein. Food was so fresh and flavorful, loved all the fresh herbs! I'm super picky about chicken but the herb chicken was so good, tender with strong herb flavors Recommendations: cauliflower rice, marinated mushrooms, herb chicken, almond breaded chicken Affordability: the biggest 2 protein/2 veggie option was about $16, good value for the amount of food! Ambiance: cute pink signs Service: no issues Good for: take out, casual read more

Fresh Kitchen - Three bowl. Kale Cesar Sweet potatoes Feta Cucumber salad Steak - New American Near Me - Tampa, Florida

After some morning yoga it was definitely time for food! I didn't want anything too heavy but still wanted to feel satisfied so my friend recommended Fresh Kitchen. This was my first time and I had no idea what to expect. It was setup similar to a cava or chipotle - where you got a bowl and got to pick your options. The food looked fresh and smelled amazing. It was my first time so I asked could I get a sample of some of the options before I put it in my bowl. I landed on a three bowl - which was one protein, one base, and one veggie. I got kale caesar, herb blackened chicken, and mushrooms. It was absolutely amazing! The bowl was delicious and a great after workout/yoga food option. I felt full and satisfied without feeling groggy or like I ate too much. It was a nice healthy alternative. I got my food to go but next time I will definitely have to sit down outside on the cute patio area. read more

I hadn't been to FK in a long time. There were some changes. The tofu as a protein option is gone. The addition of bourbon and chicken was not as good as I had hoped. The almond chicken tasted a little dry and lacked flavor and the bourbon chicken was a little burnt. It was just ok and I just remember the flavors being better. It was one of the first places I ate at when I moved here and it's definitely not the same. I miss the old fresh kitchen! read more

Really starting to feel disappointed with Fresh Kitchen after many years of being a fan. Today the portions seemed much smaller than what they normally provide. I always get the same order and they were super stingy with the amount of Kale Pesto Tomatoes which you have to pay $1.50 extra for. I think they could be a little more generous - this isn't a protein or guac. Tomatoes and the ingredients don't warrant the extra charge but irregardless if you're going to charge me extra on top of what I'm already paying (which is now $11.25 for a four bowl) I expect you to load me up. FK I love you guys but stop nickel and diming your customers. read more

I would eat here every day if I could! I got the 4 bowl with cauliflower, rice, and greens for the base, with blackened chicken, cucumbers, mushrooms, and tomatoes. I ordered the creamy ginger dressing on the side, but didn't even need it! It was so flavorful and absolutely delicious. There was a long line, but it moved quickly . Finally tried Fresh Kitchen after passing it so many times while out and about. We went on a Friday night and placed our orders online prior to arriving at the restaurant. This worked out perfectly because we skipped the long line and enjoyed our bowls at a table outside. I built my own bowl with coconut ginger rice and arugula as my base, and it was sooo good. Definitely try the coconut ginger rice if you enjoy those flavors, it was one of my fav things in my bowl along with the roasted broccoli. I love that this is a healthier option that leaves you feeling good. The inside is decorated so nicely and there is so much parking behind the building as well. Highly recommend trying this spot! read more

Incredible every time! My go to is the sweet potato noodles, broccoli, green beans and lemon chicken with vinaigrette sauce

I grab lunch here probably once a week! It's a great option for a filling, healthy lunch that's fast and absolutely delicious! It does get very busy and parking can be a challenge, but I've found its easiest to order online ahead of time and pick up off the shelf in front! But if you do decide to wait in line, they move it through pretty quick. I've tried about everything, but my favorite bowl is the citrus grilled chicken, coconut ginger rice, crunchy kale caesar, sesame green beans, basil mushrooms, with the creamy white ginger sauce. Fantastic!!! Love that they are gluten and vegetarian friendly as well, literally will find something for everyone here! read more

First time at restaurant & impressed. Fresh, tasty food prepared as you want. Line moves quickly so recommend looking at menu before ordering so you're ready to select base, vegetable, protein, sauce & extras. Diners in our party had bbq chicken or steak. Steak worth the up-charge; it was cooked perfectly. Interesting combinations with potato/cauliflower base or spinach/slaw - both tasty. Variety so something for everyone (vegetarian, gluten free, healthy eating). Surprised how filling bowl was. Lively environment-music seemed a little loud, but could still hear staff & other diners in my party. I'd dine here again! read more

If you want something quick, healthy and actually tasty, this place is a solid choice! Yeah, I know it's a franchise but the food is soo fresh and flavorful. There's a lot of vegetarian options so there's something for everyone. The place is super clean, the vibe is chill and the staff is really friendly. I got the baked breaded chicken with noodles, and it was so good! Keep in mind that It gets crazy busy sometimes like literally a line out to the parking lot busy. But honestly, that just shows how good it is. Worth the wait? 100%. I'd definitely come back when I want something healthy and fast without sacrificing flavor. read more

I think I've mastered my favorite bowl so I'm writing it here so I remember. For my protein I got the baked almond chicken. For bases I got the tumeric quinoa and kale caesar. Then for my vegetable I got mushrooms and for sauce I got the creamy white ginger. This was absolute perfection. It filled it up and was absolutely divine. I also got the carrot juice which was a great blend of carrot, ginger and orange juice. The ginger and OJ didn't overwhelm the carrot. I would also recommend this drink The people who work here are super nice too. Two of them told me they liked my outfit and almost all of them told me to have an awesome day. It really brightens your day to be around people that cheery. Seating is limited as is parking. Yes they have a parking lot in the back, but it still fills up. I highly recommend coming at 11:30 so you can get a spot and a place to sit. Otherwise grabbing and going it always a good option. This is one of my favorite places to grab a healthy bite. I highly recommend it. read more

Need a post workout bite? Fresh kitchen is your spot for healthy food and fast service! You order similar to a chipotle or cava where you are able to visibly see options and select your food. I got the 6 base bowl: sweet potato noodles and Caesar kale salad, bbq and citrus chicken with chickpeas and string beans. The server allowed me to try their new fire roasted carrots which was good and thoughtful offer especially for new costumers. My personal go to's: Caesar kale salad, citrus chicken, and the chickpeas -consistently delicious!
