Many wonderful compliments. Favorites were the Thai Chicken Satay, Short Rib Tacos and corn croquettes. There were no leftovers of the Shrimp & Sausage skewers and shrimp cocktail, so those must have been winners. The blueberry almond cheesecake was heavenly. The servers cleaned up immaculately. I did not find one piece of trash. I appreciate that the trash did not end up in my trashcan. They also loaded the wine glasses into the dishwasher and ran it. That was a lovely, much appreciated touch. Also incredibly thoughtful were the To-Go containers. Not only could my guests take home extra but at the end of the party the food was all neatly stored in my refrigerator. And the best thing they did was to label the containers. I had FFTK cater my wedding. If it wasn't for the bar portion I would give 5 stars! The food was amazing and the service was amazing! A very sweet staff! The bartender seemed very upset and frantic all night. I was told to provide certain condiments and it was not used. Alot of our guest complained.. not about wait time just about attitude. When I went to get a drink with a friend I noticed she was overwhelmed so I apologized to her and said I would write a review for all the hard work she was doing and she said "I don't need a review. I need money!" and I proceeded to apologize and told her I would make sure everyone would take good care of her. She seemed to be having a bad night. We booked FFTK about a year in advance for our wedding, and throughout the months leading up to our wedding, Noelle and her team were always available and prompt in responding to any questions that we had. Our wedding was a destination location in Cottonwood, AZ, and FFTK made the trip and was well prepared, prompt with timing, and helped make our wedding night perfect! FFTK had a very cute and romantic dining setup for the tastings at their Phoenix location, and we ended up having a fun date night together while sampling our food selections for our wedding. Our server that evening was so polite, fun to talk with, and VERY knowledgeable of the food preparation/ingredients and the catering services. We truly enjoyed our tasting and recommend going to their location to do a sampling! Noelle helped prepare an amazing meal and experience for everyone the night of our wedding. To say we were looking forward to dinner would be an understatement because that was a constant topic the whole day. Noelle was great to work with and very professional throughout. The Fresh From the Kitchen Team member came on time and set up chaffing dishes, décor (which I wasn't expecting) and a framed menu. The food was EXCELLENT. We ordered for 30 and had enough for 40. WOW! I've never heard so many people raving about wedding food as I did after our reception. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. The food was AMAZING (We had the Glazed Meatballs/Chicken Wontons/Caprese Skewers for cocktail hour and then FFTK Spring Salad, Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables, Chicken Picatta, and the Roast Beef Carving Station). I originally wanted plated but we loved the carved meat and went with buffet style. The buffet still had such an elegant feel/display/and service. Have you ever dealt with a company or person that you just couldn't stop gushing about because they were so accommodating, nice, and helpful? Noelle at Fresh from the Kitchen was - by far - one of those people/companies. Her willingness to help with every detail (i.e. linen choices, chair and table rentals, vendor recommendations, cake delivery, etc) and stay within my specified budget spoke volumes. From planning the menu to signing the contract to delivery and setup and the actual catering, everything went off without a hitch. In fact, Noelle personally delivered my linens and oversaw initial setup - this woman is amazing! Now on to the food: First, allow me to mention that the server was quiet, courteous, helpful, and unobtrusive. She made the waffles at our brunch buffet that consisted of: Belgian waffles (made to order) Farm fresh fluffy scrambled eggs Lox with dill, caper, and red onions Maple turkey sausage links Country skillet red potatoes Fresh fruit skewers All the food was hot (except of course the fruit), fresh and delicious, particularly the *enormous* serving of lox. Although being my wedding day, I hardly ate but a nibble of everything but based on the rate of consumption by my guests, I'm sure of my opinion. The only one negative in this sea of positives is that the red potatoes were undercooked. Wow, what can you say one you are so lucky to deal with a wedding vendor who went ABOVE above and beyond!? I simply don't think you need to read paragraphs to understand how fabulous Noelle and her team are. Fresh From the Kitchen was one of the results I found quickly and right away in my search for a wedding caterer. From the wedding forums to poking around Phoenix options, I found them pretty easily with my search parameters of vegetarian. I hesitantly reached out not knowing how versed they would be in these options (yes, this sounds ridiculous, but one might be surprised!) and enthusiastically received a same day reply assuring me they could handle ANY vegetarian/vegan request, and included sampled menus. Simply, I would trust Noelle with any cuisine. You know how there are foods or restaurants where you say "I could make this better at home," and on a night where you don't mind putting in the work, you do? And how there are those dining experiences that you go out of your way for because "I can't make this as good at home, plus I don't want to buy xyz random ingredient, etc.?" Fresh From the Kitchen provides that second option. The absolute wow factor you are looking to be blown away by. My menu was amazing - salad, light and fluffy rice, excellent variety of roasted vegetables, falafels with tzatziki and fresh vegetables, and green chile tamales with cheese and green chili sauce. Our appetizers were fruits, cheese, etc., plus chips, salsa, and guacamole. I am lucky to have had one bite of salsa, thanks to our photographer! Back to the wow factor - this team knows how to layer flavor. All of the food tasted comforting like you made yourself, but with the depth that only a professional can provide. From the zing of the yogurt sauce to the absolute perfect balance of acidity and heat in the green sauce, everything is seasoned to perfection. Oh, and did I mention Noelle was so easy to communicate with, and postponed our event for us!? She is that type of person. From meeting her at the tasting to being lucky enough to have her at our event, every interaction I had was over the top nice. Her entire staff was pleasant and kind. I cannot say enough good thing about Fresh From the Kitchen. I had a small COVID friendly wedding and I wanted to create a truly luxurious dining experience for my guests. And let me tell you, THEY DELIVERED. My guests could not stop raving about our food. We had bacon wrapped scallops, arancini, the most delicious homemade bread, succulent olives, such a cozy potato soup, filet mignon, and I am not kidding, the best cake I have ever had in my life. In my life. I told my husband my favorite part of our 1 year anniversary will be eating the frozen top of the cake we saved! It was white cake with raspberry and cream filling. We were so happy with the food served at our wedding by Fresh from the Kitchen. The food was fresh, as promised, and delicious! We really wanted to serve organic, locally-sourced food at our wedding and found that Fresh from the Kitchen was one of a few caterers here in Arizona that provide this service. So we were super excited to taste some of the food with FFTK, as the reviews on Yelp were great . . . but we were less than impressed. We went to a tasting - where they should be showcasing their best options. It was a small party of maybe 20 in their showroom. The beef - AMAZING. Everything else? Not so much. We had heard from several event coordinators that this place was the best to work with. Some of the apps weren't cooked consistently between mine and my husband's. We just weren't impressed. We also came across them at an open house at a wedding venue where they were serving a couple of things to try - again the beef was amazing, but the pasta sauce was separated and didn't look appetizing. We did have a few hiccups that weren't major, but something to be aware of: 1) One of our bartenders was a no-show. After reaching out to Noelle, she immediately offered us a refund. 2) The food was delayed by about 20 minutes, and there seemed to be some miscommunication about dessert plates. They said they didn't have them, and then they found them, so our cake cutting wasn't until super late. The staff kept in communication about both of these the whole time. The staff that I dealt with were all very friendly! Overall, none of this had any major impact on our event, and we had I great time! Best cake I've ever tasted (cinnamon cake and ladies, we never thought that would be our wedding cake flavor and DAMN IT WAS DOPE). Our guests said it was the moistest yummiest cake they've ever had at a wedding. Her servers were impeccable and took care of me and my groom the entire night even putting aside a whole platter of the passed appetizers from cocktail hour so we could enjoy them after pictures. The whole staff went above and beyond. During our buffet dinner, the woman running the show that night served me and my groom and got us drinks throughout all of dinner. And when we ran out to do sunset photos, she took our plates and kept them warm in the kitchen. Also, the bartender and packages Noelle offers are fab. We provided our own alcohol and the bartender she sent was awesome and fast, never a long line! And he provided mixers, water, soda, and a bunch of other drink amenities. Also note that she provided a cake stand, set up our menus and favors on our place settings, pre-poured champagne for our guests right on arrival at reception, offered to provide and arrange all linens and dance floor (at cost of products, but she handled it all) and worked with our budget every step of the way. And so, in closing, FFTK and Noelle accommodated everything we asked for and, as you can see, I cannot say enough. Thank you Noelle for everything! They catered a wedding we attended at a nice and upscale country club in Phoenix and was very underwhelming. They used an incredible amount of plastic.. The apps had plastic forks, even the coffee station, no joke had plastic cups for the coffee. I asked the server if they really thought drinking a piping hot beverage from plastic was ok? He said the client opted for a particular package. Ok I get it but paper cups are far more appropriate than plastic. I even saw them package some folks food to go in styrafoam. Ok to the food .. Sad Mushrooms stuffed with an unidentifiable filling and of course , a large plastic fork to eat it with. Didn't try them because they were THAT Unappealing to look at. And some ok but uninspired tomato mozzarella prosciutto skewers. Dinner was steak or salmon. I got the steak. One star for it being medium rare and not well done but it was served without a steak knife and was not super tender.. I struggled with the butter knife and shook the table in the process. Staff seemed nice , another star .. Mashed potatoes and veggies were.. Ok.. Someone at the table mentioned it being the first time she couldn't eat mashed potatoes served to her, so I guess they were less than ok. Backing up to the salad , we think it was Caesar but couldn't tell. My plate under rim was covered with dirty finger prints with crusty dressing stuck to it.
