Avo Guac Toast - a different twist on avocado toast: on a vegan, gluten free waffle.
Marlene K.

An all gluten free establishment where most items are also, or can be made, vegan. The service was impeccable, friendly, helpful and funny. Service everywhere has been lacking these past few years, so when you get service this good you sing it from the rooftops. We visited on Mother's Day and several staff had called out but as customers we couldn't tell. The staff was busting their tails and were very efficient. We got the Guac Toast and Key West Tofu and both were well seasoned and delicious. It was amazing to have such great gluten free and vegan options available. Our server was multitasking and still managed to provide an amazing level of service. It's a cute place right near many boat places and attached to a hotel. I would definitely visit again.

Wow, I can't believe I haven't been here sooner. This place is INCREDIBLE. Tucked away off of 17th street, it is the perfect spot to hit up while downtown or heading to the beach. The interior isn't huge, but we were able to sit right away. Plenty of parking in the lot. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The best part though was the unique, absolutely delicious food. Vegan, vegetarians, gf friends- you need to come here. So many options you won't know what to do with yourself.

This is a really nice, casual spot for a healthy meal with delicious flavors. The interior is cute and has a wall of inspirational quotes. We had breakfast and really enjoyed. Coffee is legit and served in a press. I loved the sweet potato hash served as a side with my eggs. If you are looking for regular bacon, this is not your place. Turkey bacon only and happens to be very good. Good stop.

Service unorganized long wait. Now called Big Mikes. Mikes walking around when he needs to be helping staff. Food was good though.

Cute spot for breakfast. The eggs benedict was very good. They have french press coffee but no espresso. Service was great. And the food came out quickly. You can sit indoors or outdoors. Would love to come back and try more dishes.

As you can see by my photos, I've been here countless times. I work close by at Bahia Mar and this is always a good go-to for lunch. It's always a spot that I like to recommend to friends and family as well. My wife is vegan and when we met, she'd never been here before but now we come all the time. The food is consistently good and is always a great choice. Pretty much everything I've tried is a win, so it's hard to choose my favorite dish. The servers are usually friendly and the storefront is clean. Sometimes it gets quite busy due to the limited hours, but if there's ever a wait, it's worth it.

Food is delightfully fresh, light and tasty! I had the Spinach Chicken Burger - good size, not to big, filling but not to much. Its flavorful with the cranberry chutney, mushrooms and caramelized onions. For a side, I had the house salad - loved it! As for a drink, i opted for "Green" juice, a blend of Kale, Parsley, Cucumber and Lemon- i may add pineapple next time i come back, i feel it needed a touch of sweetness. Service - great. Ambiance: the place is small so it was slightly packed at noon thus noisy with all the conversations going at once. It was challenging to talk or hear the other person. Other than that, thought it was brightly lit space and clean environment.

Wow! I absolutely loved this place! Such a great hidden gem. Very quaint, and great service. Every item in the place is gluten free, so no risk of cross contamination ever! I am also dairy-free and they were very knowledgeable about what I could have. They also offer a lot of vegan items as well! Oh, and the French-press coffee was really good - I even drank it black, although they had non-dairy oat or almond milk. To top it all off, we had a warm brownie with non-dairy whipped cream on top! So delicious! I'm definitely going back next week for sure!

I was trying to find a restaurant with a GF menu since our daughter's boyfriend has gluten sensitivities and this restaurant came up with great reviews. The staff were very friendly and greeted us as we walked in. There are tables inside and outside but we were the only customers dining at the restaurant. All the customers who came in were only there to pick up their orders. I ordered the buttermilk Belgian Waffles. The waffles had a different texture... soft, almost like mashed potatoes, but it was REALLY good! My daughter ordered the Açaí bowl which she thought was good. Her boyfriend ordered the Guac Toast which he liked except for the olives. My husband ordered the Eggs Benedict which he LOVED! The only type of coffee they have is French Pressed and we were afraid it would be really strong so we had asked our server for lots of cream and sugar. We were pleasantly surprised that it was actually very good coffee and we didn't need all the cream and sugar that we had asked for. It's been a week since we were here and my husband still talks about how good his breakfast was!

Back in FLL and i just had to go back to my now favorite spot to eat. The peace of mind when finding a 100% gluten free restaurant is unparalleled. So many delicious looking options it's always hard to choose. I opted for the Tuna Melt and the most delicious Ginger Lemonade. The food again was fresh and delicious, service was friendly and welcoming. I would however recommend to ask the Coleslaw in a bowl as it made the bottom of the waffle a bit soggy. Brought back home a lil bit of Florida Heat in a bottle. The Hot sauce is sooo goood, I'll put that shit on everything.... Will definitely return once again next time i am in town and definitely recommend it

Waited forever then they gave our order to another table, waited for ever again and after 2bites found big piece of paper in my omelet. Total nightmare, asked to speak to the manager ( total karen move i know) and took like 15 minutes to show up. After all this they didnt comp the bill.

Came across this place on Yelp & I wanted to give it try. When we first walked in we was greeted by Dani. Luv her customer service & knowledge on the menu. I like how this place is healthy & the food is fresh. I needed it since I been eating unhealthy while I been on vacation. I ordered All American, & pancake man that shit was amazing. Shoutout to the sister who cook her ass off, you killed it.. The next time I'm in town I'll definitely come back.

Tomato soup

We went to Fresh First for a light lunch. They did not disappoint. Service was fast and friendly. We had a nice table outside. My husband order the chicken burger with spinach on top. He had it with a side salad. I had a bowl of tomato soup and a cobb salad. Our meals were light and delicious. They're open until 3 so they serve breakfast, lunch, afternoon healthy snacks, ie açaí bowls. For beverages they offer house made juices and infused alkaline water sodas which I tried for the first time and found it delicious even though I'm not usually a seltzer fan. Definitely a must try establishment.

I hope I understand this correctly... so the plant-based (vegan) burger is served on a non-vegan buttermilk bun? Do they have vegan cheese for the plant based burger?

As titanium Marriott bonvoy members, we received a breakfast voucher each morning of our stay, which is good for your choice of coffee or orange juice and an entree from a select menu (see pics). I found the select menu to have many great options. I had the "smothered burrito" which was huge and delicious and did not have any beans. The "traditional eggs Benedict" was typical and came with a large portion of their potatoes- yum. The "huevos rancheros" was great too but I wished it had those potatoes. My husband had the "applewood bacon and poached egg avocado toast" twice because it was so good. We ordered two additional eggs sunny to go with it, as that dish only had one poached egg. He also got the "two eggs your way" which comes with choice of protein, potatoes and two slices of sourdough toast w butter (no jam). He ordered bacon egg and cheese taco with that dish to maximize his protein intake. That was tasty. Everything we ate here was a good portion. I saw the regular menu. Dishes are about $16. The pancakes looked awesome- maybe we will get that next time. Pancakes would pair well with the hash- it looks like a huge dish. They have a breakfast cocktail menu. I had the bloody Maria (nothing special but it said house made bloody mix so I wanted to try it), which came with a celery stick. I think next time I'll do the coffee inspired cocktails. Those sound amazing. We ate inside because the wind was crazy like 25mph. We ate outside one day, when the wind wasn't as bad, and found that there are some pesky birds trying to steal food off of server trays. So if you don't want the birds, sit inside. The place gets busy; you can make a reservation. We never had to wait in line long or wait for a table, but I think that's because we're hotel guests. Once sat, we did wait more than 20 min to receive our food. But it's ok. The coffee is good. The restaurant turns into Lona for lunch and dinner. They give you the Lona drink menu for breakfast too if you're more in the mood for a margarita. Bar seating is first come first served. Bathrooms are inside the hotel lobby. There is no parking for the restaurant but you can valet.

I had really high hopes for this breakfast visit due to the great rating this restaurant has but my…read moreexperience fell short. My order consisted of the Machaca Skillet and a side of Papas Racheras (potatoes). The positives were, a) the portion size (massive amount of food) and b) the great flavor of the Machaca (shredded beef with onions, bell pepper & tomato. Now the negatives, a) the 3 poached eggs were all over-cooked/hard yolks, b) the side of potatoes were cold and had an unappealing texture. I'm not positive but I have a feeling they were left over from the day before because I arrived at 7am which is when this restaurant opens so if they made the potatoes fresh they couldn't have been this bad and c) after the waiter took my order and never saw him again until I was ready for the bill. He never checked in on me which is a shame because I had pierced all 3 eggs to show him the hard yolks and ate very slowly so the proof would be on the plate when he checked on me but alas, he never showed. If I lived in the area I may give them another try because of the potential with this dish.

This entire cafe is outdoors, so it's best to visit during weather where you can tolerate being outdoors. There is lots of shade, so the sun won't be beating on you directly, and there are fans around the tables as well. There are also those little fly fans on each table to keep flies away from your food, so it's clear that they've done their due diligence with creating a comfortable outdoor environment. This was my first time visiting, and I was pleased with everything I ordered. My fiance had been here once before on his own, and brought me along this time to experience it for myself! I ordered the iced Rosa Latte, the Breakfast Bowl, and a plan Belgian waffle. He had an iced Chai Latte, and the Pancake Sandwich. Here are our thoughts of each item: Rosa Latte: I got mine with almond milk, and it was just the right amount of sweet. The rose syrup brings a truly unique flavor that I can hardly describe myself! If you like your tea with milk and honey (or any sweetener) and you also like lattes, you'll enjoy this. Breakfast Bowl: everything was cooked perfectly. I was surprised at the heaping scoop of perfectly ripe avocado on top--I wasn't expecting so much avocado, in a good way. Most restaurants are stingy with avocado. The eggs were fluffy, the bacon was crispy, and everything tasted like an extremely well made home breakfast. The eggs were not salted, which I preferred because I was able to add the amount of salt I wanted. Pancake Sandwich: My fiance ordered this one, and he described it as the perfect blend of sweet and savory. The pancake (bread) was a normal pancake size, which made the sandwich a bit difficult to hold given that pancakes aren't very firm, so some people might find it easier to use utensils to eat this. I tasted the pink mayonnaise, and it tasted homemade! If you like deviled eggs, the pink mayonnaise tastes like fresh deviled eggs. It's lovely. Overall, this was a super pleasant experience. The server that my fiance had last time (I didn't catch his name) also remembered him and stopped by our table to say hello. The prices here are a bit higher for a breakfast cafe, but once you taste everything you'll understand why. It's clear that all the food and drinks use fresh ingredients, and the staff takes pride in it!

We were coming from Hallandale, we had an 8pm reservation got seated around 815 which wasn't too bad. We were sat in a dimmer quieter section away which I really appreciate since our 1 year old was sleeping giving us the perfect date-night setting. Unfortunately the last time we been to Shooters was Valentine's Day 2025. We weren't aware that the menu had been changed since our last time dining which was rather unfortunate since the two entrees (seared brown butter scallops & shrimp and grilled soy-ginger glazed salmon) we came for were changed on the menu. We ended up getting the soy glazed salmon and scallops & prawns which unfortunately we did not enjoy at all. Even the sides were different previously you could just get a side of Mac now you can only get a side of truffle Mac? The grilled soy ginger salmon was on a bed of veggies (bok choy, Napa cabbage, onions, peppers) the one that's currently on the menu was basically on two inedible pieces of bok choy and a bed of rice I couldn't even break and chew the bok choy. Our server Ava was very attentive and sweet even gave a beautiful little treat for a birthday dessert ( not a chocolate fan but her energy made the dessert amazing ). After we paid our check we asked Ava for a manager and did specify that it was regarding the food more and not her service. I didn't catch the name of the manager we spoke to but her response to us simply questioning the menu change was she's not the culinary director or something along those lines but she would still hear our feedback. She just had such an I don't care attitude about it in my opinion and had I not had a few drinks in my system, trying to enjoy my time out with my family and birthday I would've let her know her attitude regarding it just was unnecessary. We unfortunately agreed to find a new go-to restaurant to celebrate our special occasions since so much has changed. Thank you so much to Ava for making our visit worth it! Didn't get pictures of the salmon, scallops, drinks or oysters that we got but I did get the fish dip and the dessert. Edited to add pictures from one of our previous visits
