Mil hoja
Lisa P.

Coffee and a pastry for $5! Love that. I didn't know to get, because half the pastry case was a little unfamiliar. I went with a mil hoja and it is a little bit of heaven. Would return for it alone, but may try something else. Folks were ordering sandwiches too, breakfast and lunch variety including Cuban!

Salty bread
Joelnramoz ..

Not what it use to be. How can you ruin a ham and cheese croissant ? The croissant was salty, not sure what the heck was up with the ham it was rolled up tighter than a Cuban cigar. The cheese was even saltier than the croissant, tasted like a saltine cracker. This place has a lot to learn if it plans on staying in business.

Delicious bread

I came to check it out since they changed owners. I must say love the bread. I ended up buying some bread for my coffee and it was really good. The new owners are really nice and the inside is welcoming. I say check it out during breakfast get yourself a pan and a cafecito. You won't regret it.

Guatemalan breakfast

Been passing by this place for a few weeks and finally decided to give there breakfast tortas a try before work. And me and my partner have been going whenever we can. I get the chorizo w/egg he gets the ham w/egg. Everything taste good the bolillo taste good on its own. Plus we recently tried there Guatemalan breakfast everything on that plate was amazing. I think she said they only make it on the weekends. But so worth. Plus there sweet bread and donuts are also very tasty. Owners are very nice people very welcoming and friendly. Can't wait to try there other items

Padekwa This is a…read morereview for my experience at Padekwa. It is a coffee shop/creative studio. Padekwa is Haitian Creole for "You're welcome." Words to describe Padekwa: Positive vibes, Great spot to work/study, Relaxed, Artistic, Creative, Serene, Peaceful, Safe, spacious Location: It is located by Dollar Tree/7-11. There is plenty of parking because it's in a plaza. Drinks: I ordered their specialties-bananas foster latte and beignet cappuccino. Both served hot. They were delicious! I can taste the sweetness of the bananas and beignets, with the warm combo of the hot coffee. Way to go baristas! After sipping on the coffee nectar, it inspired me to get to work on my work projects. Food: I also tried their brownies and coffee cake. They were both generous slices and appetizing as well! Environment: I really love the aesthetics and atmosphere at Padekwa. You see the personal touches of family life and community. I also love the poem on the wall about art. Thank you for providing a wonderful home for people to create and share! If you need a cup of coffee, inspiration, and a place to work, I highly recommend visiting Padekwa!

So if you are looking to escape the heat grab a coffee and snack and chill awhile! The staff is sooooo friendly! I'm 99% sure this is family owned and by the looks of it all female owned as well. They take the name to pa'dekwa seriously cuz I felt very very welcomed! Now the coffee! I got the collagen crush!!! And DANG! That drink is super tasty especially knowing there is healthy benefits from it. I took the suggestion from the lady at the register and added a touch of hazelnut to make that "Nutella" flavor (THANKS FOR THE SUGGESTION) Overall I WILL be back! When I'm treating myself to coffee solo or with friends this will be my top spot! I can't wait to "catch" their FISH FRY!! (They try at least once a month)

It came out to around $8, which I think is a pretty normal price for coffee nowadays. The coffee was really good not too sweet and not too strong, which I liked. The vanilla cold foam was a nice touch too! The staff were very welcoming and kind, and the inside was really clean. I really liked the ambiance here. It had a nice, calm, and comfortable atmosphere that makes you want to stay for a while. I could definitely see myself coming here to study, get some work done, or just hang out and enjoy a coffee. We came here around 3 PM on a Thursday to get some work done and our afternoon caffeine re-dose. Service was great! I got the cookie butter matcha and I didn't know this was a combination I needed in my life. I think they pair very well together because matcha and cookie butter are kind of nutty in flavor profile. It's perfectly balanced too. I would get this again for sure, that says a lot cause I'm the type that likes to always try something new. They had some donuts and pastries but we didn't try it. I took a sip of the cookie butter latte my girlfriend got and that was delightful too. They have a parking lot for easy free parking. I love the all black and wood interior. They have outlets pretty accessible anywhere you sit. The WiFi was fast enough for me to work fine. There are not too many tables in here but at the time we came, that wasn't an issue. They have a cart of board games and books you can borrow from too. The place feels clean, I saw the worker cleaning the bathroom while we were here.

I've ordered hot coffee and iced coffee but this last visit I tried their cookie butter latte and it was delicious. It wasn't too sweet and they had a generous amount of cookie crumble on top. I also feel that they were generous with the coffee. Some places put a lot of ice and you take a couple sips and it's done. This wasn't the case. Thank you. The cashier was friendly as well, she took the time to explain their hours. We ordered our drinks and they were ready in a few minutes. I would definitely come back and I'd like to try another specialty drink. I really like that they are located inside SteelCraft and you can take your drink and baked goods inside to sit down and enjoy music, movies, or just conversation.

In December, they have "Christmas" drinks whereas in June, they have "summer"drinks .. it just varies from month to month. Parking is free since it's part of the Bellflower Steelcraft. I feel they make drinks quick, I usually wait less than 5 mins for my drinks. Our usual orders consist of: kids iced mocha, cafe de olla, & the iced cookie butter latte. Oh! The lot is inconspicuous but totally fine to park in - pulling in/out is just a bit tight if it's full with bigger cars. I wasn't sure if I could park there until I read the manager's comments on Yelp, so maybe it would be beneficial to put up a sign outside? Just to inform/reassure customers. There's also some limited street parking in front. The inside is bright and minimalist. Not super unique, but it works. There's a nice variety of seating throughout, from benches with outlets, to regular tables and chairs, and barstools against the window. Music was a nice volume and it didn't get too loud even as the cafe slowly filled up with people chatting. The bathroom is on the right end of the shop. I sat by an outlet and was able to get a good chunk of work done for about 4 hours. I'm not sure if it's just because of where I was sitting, but I did start getting a bit chilly (maybe I was near a vent?). Overall, the environment as a whole is pretty conducive to working on a laptop. I got an iced Ube Latte (total $7.71) and I thought it was okay. It's really pretty and very purple, so I was expecting a much stronger nutty/coconut/vanilla taste. There was maybe a hint of ube, but overall it was more reminiscent of a regular latte. I am slightly disappointed, especially because pricing is on the higher end. I sat in front of where the drinks were being sent out, and noticed that each Ube Latte came out looking quite different (some looked extremely purple while others looked just tinted). Not sure if they use any specific measurements, or if the amount of jam really impacts the taste, but it was something that I noticed. Sadly, my drink wasn't very memorable. I was mainly just looking for a change in scenery to get some work done while in LB for the morning. For that purpose, this spot was great. However, my drink didn't amaze me, so it's not something I would come back for. The staff seemed to have a good handle on getting drinks out when there was a rush. Not bad by any means, just not outstanding. TikTok: @qtrinthejukebox Instagram: @qtrinthejukebox
