Stopped by to see what the hype was about. I had the combo #4 their premium double stack with cheese and side of poutine and a can of pop. The poutine was very good. The only downside (-1 star) was the fact the gravy should have been layered. The top curds were gooey but the lower ones had yet to melt. But as I ate my burger the rest of the curds did melt too. The poutine was tasty and the fried were the right kind for poutine- no too thick or thin. The burger was medium well cooked. I know some purists like a bit of pink - just not me. However I am sure you can ask if you prefer a different grill setting. The burger comes with the usual, tomatoes, onion, pickle and ketchup. This is not your neighbour's burger with relish and mustard. Save those for hotdogs. The patties were juicy and flavourful. Pro tip: as for extra napkins. Trust me you will need it for the double patty burger. The bun was good too. Slightly toasted so as to keep the glorious inside between the buns and all over the place. They do have an assortment of add-ons: bacon, cheddar cheese, provolone, mushrooms etc Al. I kept mine to the usual add-ons. The star is the burger not these sides. Final word. Decor: This location has tables with a laminated top and black chairs. The floor is a brown tile. The floor was clean but very slippery. I think they might have just mopped. As soon as you walk in you can see the menu which is very clear. The options are clear as well. We made our order and then sent down to wait for the food to be cooked. We were eating in this time. The food was cooked relatively quickly and served and brown paper bags. I had the fresh burger with fries and hubby had the fresh burger with fries as well but with everything on it. He also had the cheeseburger poutine. The food was good, fresh, and not too oily. We eat our food and then I checked out the washroom. There is only one very large washroom at the back. No key required in the washroom is large enough for people who are in a wheelchair or scooter. This is a pretty basic burger place. I liked that it was clean. But wish the floors were not so slippery. I would come here again when I'm in the area. read more

I was curious about Fresh Burger in the Dufferin and Steeles Avenue West plaza, I have seen customers go in and do take out so I thought I should try it out myself. I was sorry they don't offer onions except as a premium option you must pay for. The burger was very fresh and tasty. They give you 2 napkins and they are no place else in the restaurant. Th burger was o fresh and juicy that two napkins were not enough. I still had one in my jacket and used that. The fries are nothing special although they were freshly made there was no taste the story here is about burgers and as said it was very flavourful and freshly made. You would think for the price there would be a few more toppings included but I am not going to quibble. coming here again I would order the burger by itself and skip the fries and drink. read more

So I was excited to see that this location had opened up as it is close to my boyfriends place. I live closer to the Leslie and 16th location but every time that I go there is NO PARKING. So here there is TONS! I ordered the Fresh Burger with Cali Fries combo ($9.75) comes with a drink as well. The burger itself comes already with lettuce, tomato, cheese and their sauce. So that is what I got on it, it tasted so FRESH! I was HOOKED. Cali Fries was their sauce with cheese and sauteed onions, it was good but too much onions kinda made me sick of it.. My problem was that the cook (a female) was too busy interacting with her friends that it took 25 minutes to get our order. I had to inquire about it as my boyfriend had to leave to work. I was definitely not impressed when she SAT DOWN with her friends to chat rather that staying in the kitchen to do the job. That would be my take away from that. Hands down my favourite burger place. I've been to multiple locations and decided to come to this one. I went to cash in my Rewards Card (Buy 7, Get The 8th FREE). With the Rewards Card, you are restricted to Combo 1: Fresh Burger Combo. It comes with 4oz of fresh ground 100% Canadian angus beef, served with their signature fresh burger sauce, cheese, tomato (opted out) & lettuce. Fries and a drink were included in my free meal. The total would have came out to $12.37. Additional toppings are $1 extra, however regular onions & pickles are free of charge. Here are my thoughts on why Fresh Burger is the best in the city. Both their Canadian angus & certified Canadian angus beef are juicy, tender, & fresh. They put the fresh in Fresh Burger, forreal. The meat is not frozen, you can see the cooks flatten the patty for every burger. The patties don't come out soaked in oil, as I've experienced with past burger bars. The soft and lightly toasted brioche bun is worth noting. My devoted Prime Burger is my personal pick. The certified angus is of higher grade. The marbled cut constructs the burger into a more flavourful bite. Right amount of salt, soft but carries a thin crust, and the ratio between meat and fat is perfect. When the patty enters your mouth and melts on your tongue, you can almost taste the freshness it has to offer. Their signature sauce gives it a subtle lift of sweet & creaminess - I should ask for extra sauce next time. The fries are decent, it's not oily. It has a good outer crisp and a soft inside but ordinary in terms of flavour. The fries add a good combination to satisfy an appetite. You have an option to upgrade to "Cali Fries", topped with caramelized onions, melted cheese, and Fresh Burger sauce. I'd say it's good but repetitive. The caramelized onions make it a bit too sweet and the cheese hardens after leaving it out. If you are looking to try something new, Cali Fires might be an interesting option. As I was scrolling through Instagram, I saw on a friend's story that she had Fresh Burger...so of course, I had to message her (it's all about the food!!) with her reviews of it, I decided on Monday this week, that I wasn't going to cook and order this instead. Had to move the cars from the plaza next door to our parking garage...and as I was walking to get my car, I placed my order for pick up -- 1x6oz burger combo and 1x4oz burger combo. Stating the burger in the combo phrase is pretty useless as Fresh Burger only offers burgers and fries! One would think that a place that specializes only in burgers would be pricier than places like Wendy's, A & W, etc, but really it was less than a $ 4.00 difference!! Pick up was super easy! While they could pronounce my name, the order was correct and ready in no time at all. Took our supper home and was surprised by the amount of fries given. I was full from that alone but I was not going to let the burger go to waste! The burgers come with the standard lettuce, tomato, cheese and their sauce. They have a few (and I mean a few) at an up charge. The standard toppings were perfect. Oh...and the drink? While not a fan of Pepsi products, it came with a canned drink (much better than the fountain drinks normally offered!!) I am definitely going to getting their burgers again. Outstanding and truly FRESH burgers!! I ordered the double fresh burger with no tomatoes and with mushrooms. I was not disappointed, its huuugeee. There's plenty of fresh lettuce leaves and mushroom in every bite (making the dollar for an extra topping super worth it)! The patty itself is well seasoned (not too salty) and juicy in all its greatness! Cheese is melty and coats the burger in a good proportion! Try it!!! Highly recommended! I've also tried the cali fries later that night, which is basically fries topped with sauteed onions and melted cheese. Honestly not too big a fan of this and not worth the upgrade. :( read more

I had the 4 oz burger that comes with lettuce, tomato, cheese and Fresh burger sauce.The burger patty was well seasoned and the lettuce and tomato could not have been fresher. I upgraded the fries to the poutine and the taste of the poutine was out of this world. I was born and grew up and Quebec so I know a good poutine! Simply delicious. I wish I was hungrier to have been able to get the large poutine. The restaurant has ample seating so no worries there. The lady and gentleman who were working there today were very pleasant and anxious to know that everything was to my liking! I will definitely be back! I wish there was one closer to where I live. The cook was the cashier, he didn't wash his hands after touching the money from the counter to preparing my food. Burger was alright, it wasn't stacked correctly, everyone knows the order of a burger If you have ever cooked in a kitchen before so I had to take it all apart and reconstruct it correctly (it completely ruins the flavour if it isn't done) the fries were undercooked and completely plain, salt your fries guys. Never offered a tray so was given a paper bag to eat out of at the table, gross. Offer trays so that you don't waste paper this way and fill our landfills. Also just so everyone knows and I hope the owner reads this, It costs the restaurant 4 cents to refill drinks I'll never be back because of the tacky sign stating I can't refill my fountain drink only offered in one size. Tried Fresh Burger for the first time today and absolutely loved it. Their Cali fries were a dream-cheesy, saucey, and well-balanced. The burgers were fresh, juicy, and delicious. However, what made our experience exceptional were Yin and Siam's customer service. They greeted us upon arrival, introduced us to their menu, and promptly served us our food. I visit fresh b yesterday for a take out. The burger was good. I ordered everything a la carte. I don't want the soda the fries were good. But so stingy. It look like I ordered small fries from McDonald's in the seventies. Very disappointing. I also ordered a side order of bacon not on my burger. It was only a dollar it was at the bottom of the bag. If I was the owner of this franchise I would be embarrassed to sell what they sold me three little pieces of over cooked bacon. Fancy burger joints have been popping up in the last decade and Fresh Burger is a good contrast to these places. I really like their focus on keeping it simple, which I imagine lets them keep their costs low and hence their prices low. I don't crave burgers usually but their very reasonable prices, and the texture of the patty puts this on the radar for me. You won't find any crazy out of the world toppings. Their menu basically has 1 thing: beef burgers. You basically just choose the meat portion. I love the simplicity and not being pretentious. Let's face it, burgers are not an upscale food. Just came in today with the family for a late lunch. It turns out that this is a brand new location and it's bright and clean. Had the Double Primeburger with jalapenos, mushroom, and bacon. The burger came out bigger than I had expected. The bacon was crispy and had a real smokey taste. The lettuce stayed crispy down to the last bite. All in all, the burger was great and very fresh. They recommended that I try something called Cheeseburger Cali Fries which turned out to be a big hit with the kids. Overall, a good family experience here and we plan to be back again soon. read more

From it's nondescript purple sign in a generic plaza, you would never guess your next great burger meal is inside. The burgers are awesome, smash style patties with crispy edges, reminiscent of shake shack and packaged in an 'in n out' style paper envelope. Fresh gratis items like lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion and pickles dress up these juicy burgers. Added extras include bacon, mushrooms and different cheeses, making your burger incredibly customizable. I got the double fresh burger with bacon combo to go and I devoured it in the parking lot. The fresh cut fries are perfect. 5 guys who?? This place is way better. The only tiny complaint I have is the bun was nothing special and started to disintegrate halfway through. But I think that's more a testament to the hardiness and juiciness of the patties, so I can forgive that. Besides, the meat is the star of the show not the buns!
