Woke up needing a burger so by the time they opened at 11am, we were parked outside to get our order in. I had the 4oz freshburger combo with all the toppings. I like that everything was made fresh to order (even the fries), so it was piping hot when picked up. The Freshburger had a decent amount of fresh toppings on it to the ratio of meat. I liked that the lettuce was crisp and the tomato slice was thick enough to be juicy. A great burger. Fries were crisp and hot, just the way I like it. It is hard to find a good burger these days and I've tried Fresh Burger a couple of times before writing this review. The 'Fresh burger' is thin and lacks flavour in short tasted very bland. The poutine is disappointing as the gravy wasn't hot enough either. Based on the prices, it was overall not worth it considering it cost almost 20$ for a combo with poutine and drink. The first time I ordered from here I wasn't very impressed and decided not to return. However, as the night was getting late after years of my last visit, we were going to drive by and I thought why not. The burger joint was opened until 8pm and I could order online. Upon arrival, all the food was ready to go and in their paper bags before the scheduled time. This was pretty nice. I go to five guys more often and they are almost always late on their orders so this was a nice change. We ordered the 4oz and the 6oz fresh burger. The 4oz was definitely more of my size. The 6oz is a hefty patty. Although all the contents otherwise was the same, I felt like the 4oz had the same good flavour without too much meat. The sauce by the way is more like a mac sauce if you were wondering. The fries were your typical crispy fries that were fresh cut. Solid 4.5 stars for this new burger joint... With all the buzz of craft burger joints I had my reservations after a few let downs... There is plenty of temporary parking out front along with a larger parking lot just west of the shop (2 min walk). As I stepped in, did the customary hand sanitation and proceeded to make my order with Tom... how glutinous do I feel was running through my mind... I took it safe and settled for the combo 1 experience. Asked what topping I would like and if I was ok with onions and pickles (which is totally A-OK in my books) Was provided the fountain drink cup and was told to enjoy another selection with the fountain machine. Decisions... especially on a Monday.. As I finalized my drink fill up, my order was ready and the cheerful crew all waved as I made my exit. The Food: Amazing taste and texture**.. Having to enjoy the food in the car, I could only imagine how the food could be any better. The burger patty was moist and flavourful (read: not eating cardboard) and the toppings fresh and complimented the burger very well. The fries... not being a big fry person, I truly enjoyed the fries. They are freshly cut, and fried to yummy perfection (nice crunch on the outside with a very fluffy inside) topped with a little salt, you taste the natural sweetness of the potato and no need for ketchup. The Cali fries are topped with caramelized onions and lots of cheese. They are sorta sweet and savoury, good to try if you're in the mood for that! I think I prefer the poutine or just the fries on their own. The man who helped me with my order and seemed to be coaching the other staff was really nice, and the food was made to order in record time! The prices are not bad either. Went on a Friday night for their grand opening BOGO promotion. BOY WERE THEY BUSY! Line was 20 deep with 8 others waiting inside. Ordered 6 Prime Burger combos on their online website at 7pm and didn't get my order until 9pm! Long wait , but Tom and his team took care of us! The burger was great and Cali fries were very good. It was missing the caramelized onions though! Burgers come with cheese, tomatoes, lettuce as well as onions and pickles upon request, as well as all the other fixings like bacon for extra. Tried their new location during their Grand Opening BOGO Free Deal. It was pretty busy, as I'm sure you can imagine. They forgot to include our gravies for the fries and upon complaining about it, they generously offered to give us two free combos the next time we visit to make up for it. We went back a second time recently and the customer service was fantastic. The burger patties and toppings are fresh. This is NOT a greasy burger. The gravy for the fries tasted like it could be veggie gravy - I prefer beef gravy, but still goes well with the fries. I like that you can place an order online in advance. I still prefer Burger's Priest (because the grease adds so much more flavour to the patty and the bacon is crispier), but Fresh Burger is a great alternative if you can't find a Burger's Priest near you. I think I also prefer Fresh Burger over Five Guys. The location may be a bit tad difficult to find - it's across from the ING Direct / Tangerine building. This establishment is the newest location. It was very clean, new staff in training were very courteous and friendly. You have your choice of freshly made, never frozen beef in 4,6, or double patty 8 oz. The burger was made to order, traditional toppings and not sure if there is a surcharge on gourmet toppings. The burger sauce was a great addition, they used brioche buns... I'm giving it 2 stars because it is covid and I know it's not business as usual but you can see that there's some things that can't be blamed on covid. First off the wait was absolutely atrocious. Overall not bad, service is pleasant, was not busy. Hard to find, but thank goodness for gps and the grand opening sign on steeles, otherwise even with gps, you might not find it. Unfortunately, they forgot the tomatoes in one of the burgers and both was not cooked through. So bad discovery when eating it, had to microwave it to cook the center.
