Great tasting water. The alkaline water is worth the extra cost. They all have a prepay card that saves you money. Friendly service!

Outdoor machine after hours only takes $1 bills nothing else. It also eats $1 bills and doesn't register it so I had to pay essentially paid extra to fill. I called and left a voicemail on the number and did not receive any call back or nothing. Useless. During open hours they don't take card unless it's $5 purchase or more, so I bought a bottle water not even named brand and it was $3.00 for it almost as much to fill my 5 gallon bottle. They're crooks trying to squeeze any dollar out of you. read more

Been coming here for atleast 8 years, water quality is always 100% amazing however the young guy who works there is very cold and unwelcoming. He has no pleasent customer service skills at all, ever! The older gentleman, now he is a true gem! He's nice, welcoming and always helpful. . I started coming here when water was $4.50, I pay almost $15 now and its only because the older man is worth it. At no point was I was unkind. Not sure what you're trying to imply with your comments. But since you want to talk about kindness, perhaps you should give the gentleman I encountered a lesson on kindness since he was unwilling to assist me and didn't bother to greet me when I entered or say goodbye when I left. (I would assume a basic hello and goodbye would align with your kindness model that you believe the world needs.) If my encounter in the store wasn't bad enough, here you come with the slick comments and then have the audacity to ask me to remove the review.... The only response you should have given was "Our apologies for your experience; we definitely don't want customers to have that type of experience. Are you able to come in later this week so myself or the owner can answer your questions and help you decide on what product is best for you." Furthermore, as for your comment of "regarding the glass bottles... that's why we recommend the BPA...." Stop it! Stop pretending like this is what happened. None of that was ever said! There were no recommendations or explanations at all by the employee that sat glued to his chair and engrossed in his computer screen. The gentleman said, "No... just those plastic ones." I looked up and noticed there were some BPA plastics containers and thought that could possibly be an option. So I then said, "so how does it work? Do You just get a jug and this dispenser here?" He said, "yeah." Frustrated with his lack of assistance, I turned around and noticed an entire section of glass dispensers. I said to the gentleman, "aren't those glass?" He said, "yeah they're just bulky." Immediate fan! I was a little nervous because I hadn't seen a ton of recent reviews (hence why I'm actually leaving a review) AND from previous experience I've known these kind of smaller water places to be snotty and overpriced. This place was great. Not huge but they have every kind of water jug and size and every kind of size they have versions that have a dispenser attached to it. I recently moved and based on how I want my place set up, I decided to go from a big dispenser that you put 3-5 gallon jugs in into a dispenser that sits on a bar level/style counter. Ordered one on amazon that leaked from the spout immediately and a magical leak somewhere in the back that I couldn't really pinpoint. This place had multiple options with multiple gallon options. Went in looking for probably a 2 gallon one, found 3 gallon ones that really worked for me. Bought 2 of them and no leaks at all thus far. They have a water container cleaning machine so when you walk in you can clean your jugs before refilling them. I didn't think it'd work for my rectangular shaped dispenser but worked perfectly. I asked if the oddly shaped dispenser would fit into their after hours water dispensing machine, they were happy to let me take it out before buying it and make sure it fit. Filling water: They have a bunch of faucets for either RO or Alkaline water dispensing. MUCH quicker than a vending machine and you could probably fill 3-5 jugs at the same time if you really wanted. They have carts to put your jugs on and take them to the car. While filling up, one of the employees said "put more water in, fill it up to the top" which I think is very caring. It probably costs them next to nothing but I feel like I got my moneys worth. A win. Water Variety: They offer Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Alkaline water (Alka) with the alka being double the price. I tried the alka water and it's actually REALLY good. If you're trying to drink more water I'd give this stuff a go at least once. If curious, or you're a water snob the TDS was about 5 for the RO and 15 for the alka. I ended up buying a cheap tester during my recent water journey. My faucet water is 360 TDS. I think both the RO and alka taste great with the alka tasting better. Cons: Parking: The place they're located at was very busy and I had to park a little further than I would have liked. It was the weekend and the time of day may have been a factor. I think the carts they offer are a game changer for someone smaller than I am. Price: I went from a place in SD where I could get water for $0.25-$0.35, so the increase to $0.70 is a little rough. The alka water they offer is more expensive at $1.50 a gallon and annoyingly is very tasty. If you're used to paying similar prices then this won't apply to you and you should go here immediately. TLDR: This place is really great with an excellent selection of everything water related. The alka water is quite good but pricey. If on the fence go here and check it out. I recommend it. Ahhh... the Fresh Alka Water store. Where the water flows like, well, water. It's kind of hard to knock this place as there really isn't too much to it. The walls are lined with all kind of water contraptions, some large, some small, and as you look at them as your 5 gallon jugs are being filled it makes you ask yourself, "does anyone ever buy these things?" I guess they must. Anyhow, this place is a great option over those junky machines that sit out front of CVS, Vons, and Ralphs that a homeless person or college student has almost certainly pee'd all over while wandering drunk around College Area. Hadn't thought of that, have you? Now that I've planted that image in your head I think Fresh Alka Water has just earned another customer! read more

I've been twice and it's now officially my water store! The first time I went, I purchased bottles and got my water with ease. The second visit was even better than the first. The older male employee was so kind. I appreciate a place I can get water that tastes great and I don't feel bad. There's a parking lot in front. So parking isn't an issue. They also have carts that you can put your bottle on and take out to your vehicle. Very accommodating. read more

It's a $1 per gallon for "high pH water" or alkaline water. For that price I expect alkaline water. I bought a pH reagent to test it out and the results were appalling. I tested it two different times because I was in such shock. I wanted to ensure there was nothing wrong with the reagent so I also tested essentia water which is known to have a high pH. The pictures speak for themselves. Stay away. It's a scam. Your honestly better off purchasing water outside your local 7'11. Note that at a pH level of 5.5 frog eggs and tadpoles die. This water is at a 5. Basic water should be at a 7. This is extremely acidic. Don't put this in your body. If you're really in the market for alkaline water I'd recommend spending the 6 - 10$ on a pH reagent like this. Test it out for yourself. Don't trust marketing. Or you may fall victim to a placebo affect. read more

Excellent service still! Have been coming here consistently since they opened and customer service and quality hasn't changed. Parking is plentiful in mornings to beat lunch and rush hour crowds. Purchased a few bottles here and they are still lasting to this day, five years and strong. So people complaining about their bottles cracking need to be gentle with their stuff. I've never even had a crack on my iPhone, ever, so that's says a lot. And don't leave them out in the sun or in your car because that for sure will age your bottles faster and harder. This store is super clean, welcoming and efficient! I love buying my water here it taste super crisp and fresh as well filtered water should. During my first visit I purchased their bottom loading water dispenser and the owner was so kind as to offer to deliver it. They also are very flexible with payment methods just be aware that it is cheaper to buy purchase with cash. This location is close to the 8 and 15 freeways so it's not too bad of a commute. I love this family-owned and operated water store. Steve is a prince and I would never want to go anywhere else again after having discovered this store. He is so helpful and kind. The store is always immaculate and his wife and son are very courteous and helpful as well. I live in La Mesa and there is another water store just a couple of blocks from my home which I had previously used, but never got any assistance unless I begged for it. So, no more for that place. I pay $0.05 more per gallon at Fresh Alka Water (just for the regular filtered water), and it is worth it. I am always greeted with a warm smile and help unloading my empties and loading my newly-filled bottles. And the water is delicious! read more
