I've been going to this store for my water for a couple of years now. I always get exceptional customer service on all visits! Staff is super helpful. Their alkaline water is the best and prices are fair and reasonable. Much better quality than those coin operated machines!!! read more

Went early Saturday morning to refill my 3 gallon glass bottle Let me say 1/2 of San Diego also went to get water The owners took it all in stride. They refilled everyone's water so the line goes quickly. They only take cash which I forgot. I had no cash. They were very flexible and said just pay next time. I didn't I went and got cash and came back and paid them. But I love a business owner that trusts their clients. Parking is lot parking, but a shared with multiple businesses read more

I started coming here for alkaline water maybe Nov 2024 I used to have ready fresh nestle water delivery to my home but the prices had gone up alot and I did not realize I was also renting the water dispenser! So after being with them for years I decide to stop my delivery and start getting my own water from here I bought a 5gallon BPA free container and just recently they increase the price of alkaline which is still cheaper than other places Used to be 5$ for 5 gallons but now it's 6.25 for 5gallons still very affordable I love their alkaline here and I love the fact that they are so helpful and so fast I can be in and out there in less than 5mins Cash only tho so bring cash read more

We have bought water from this store for many years. The owners are hardworking and reliable. Even with necessary price increases, the cost is still excellent. Cheaper than a water kiosk!!! read more

Absolutely the best water in San Diego hands-down the customer service amazing the water even better thank you so much

I normally go to another water store, but my normal water spot changed owners and changed there hours. I needed to look for another spot. I found Vinh Hao on Yelp and decided to give them a try. When I showed up to the water store, they gave great customer service by offering to fill the water for me and help carry to the car. I only drink Alkaline water, and when I got home and started to drink the water, I noticed it had a funny smell and taste. I thought maybe my water bottle I use was dirty, so I washed my bottle and it still had a foul smell. Then the following day my kids and wife all complained about the water saying it was disgusting. So I knew it wasn't just me. I gave them 2 stars only because of the customer service. Otherwise the quality of the water was terrible. Great service but a horrible product. I have had tap water that was better. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I have tried other filtered drinking water places, but this filtered water tastes amazing! Fast, friendly, and no nonsense customer service. And I am supporting a local pop and mom shop. What's not to love? I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good water place. read more

This is a simple store run by a simple dude. He's got the standard filtered water as well as the premium alkaline water. They also sell various jugs and containers for water as well as water jug stands etc. Shop local and support small business! read more

I been buying Alkaline water for years now at this place . Is a family own business . Owner always helping everyone. You can pick regular bottle drinking water and bring your own gallons and or containers. They also sell a good variety of plastic bottles all sizes. I usually buy alkaline water. One gallon is .75 cents as opposed to buying a bottle for $1.50+ in most grocery stores. Is a great deal!! read more

Clean, fast and friendly. Happy to have found an alkaline water store in the neighborhood!

This has been the best place to go for water refills so far. The guy who helped me refills the water right away as soon as I came. They have the price tag on the store which is $1 per galons. I got 2.5 galons but he only charged 70 cents which was incredible. I would highly recommend this place. read more

This place is clean, friendly, and fast. I've been coming here for the past year. Most recently, I arrived 5 minutes before closing. There was only one person working at that time and luckily no one else in line. I told him I was happy I made it in time and he said it's not a problem because he usually ends up staying after closing anyways. He further explains that many times he has already shut off the machines and someone will come in and he doesn't hesitate to turn them back on for his customers. I thought that was a good indication he takes his work seriously. The water stations are ALWAYS clean, the water (alkaline and regular) always taste refreshing, and the only few times I wasn't offered to help load the jugs of water were when they have been busy. read more

Wow, they have alkaline water for $0.75 per gallon! I buy it in LA for $2-2.5 per gallon. That's definitely a plus. The guy who works there didn't know anything about water PH levels, but he said he works there only on weekends and his brother knows everything. Unfortunately they don't accept credit cards, but they'll transfer you to ATM in T-mobile store in the same plaza, and T-mobile guys will tell you there's no ATM so you should go to liquor store across the street. Just bring cash with you. read more

I like the fact they have a water prepaid plan so I can just go in, fill up, & roll on out of there. The pricing is definitely a lot better than the other water stores I've been to and even the individual water filling spots around the city. The water tastes good & I'll continue to pay, fill up, & go! read more

Sure, it's great. I'm going now to get our biweekly supply of good water, cheap price. And who was that lady complaining about a sandwich. giving Vinh Hao one star. They don't sell sandwiches! read more

I'm a college student and with the hard tap water in SD, I had to find a place that sold filtered water. I'm so glad I was able to find this place! It reduces my use of plastic which is great and the owner is always super nice when I bring my container to refill water. It's quick and easy and the water tastes great! read more

I walked in and the guys were very helpful with my questions and filled my water for me and helped me get it to my car. I am a very happy water customer who plans to use this place for now on. I live in Serra Mesa and there is no place like this in my area other than Windmill Water. Worth the few extra miles. read more

Very Very bad customer service : owner got mad for somebody or something and began yelling at me while i am in the row waiting for my turn to get water. It's too bad for this behavior from the owner: yelling at customer for no reason( this case is about the cart the I am using while getting in line- he blamed me for hogging the cart which i have been using in the past- simply using the store cart to carry my 20 water bottle containers to carry them to store). when entering store, i asked him why he had yelling at me for no reason, his answer was : " you do not want my service, don't you?". I just calmly replied to him that i just asked you the main reason why!!!". he ended this conversation by letting me filled all my 20 gallons of water by myself without any help from him. I am a long term customer for this store( at least 10 years). Too bad he just lost a customer. I did not even forget to thank him for his business. read more

This is the best water in town. Believe me, I've been to them all! The owner is friendly, kind, responsible and helpful, always. PpFree parking is directly in front of the store w/ ramp. I'm hooked on alkaline water and this IS the best price! They don' t just stand there and watch a disabled 64 yr old woman struggle. They help, santitize, wipe down and cart yr water. Thank you so much, you are a God- send for me. read more

Do not trust these guys. I have been drinking filtered water for years . I just moved to area from ob so now I go in there and ask questions about filter replacement and dates and test results which all should be posted on board . And he got mad at me and said of coarse we put dates on our filter. This info should be posted on board in the store . No wonder the water is cheap . You can get it out of your hose . read more

OMG, I'm so glad that somebody reviewed this place already because I do not know the address. I feel like I could just build a little house right in the middle of this plaza and just live there forever. There is K's right there, Pho Pasteur, Mien Trung, Sushi Diner, the Hawaiin Joint around the corner, my tailor and of course, the all important water store. I agree with Betsy that water tastes like water...until you drink some stank, nasty tap water or some of that real thick water, or Arrowhead water (which I'm pretty sure is just bottled tap water), or that water that tastes like it has grass mixed in. Anyway, Vinh Hao specializes in not that kind of water and they do a damn good job. You can find a few of their locations around SD, but I don't know if they are actually related. The guys are always super nice and help you bring your water out for you. They are fast and very efficient. Why wait like a 'schbag at one of those stupid over priced water machines when you could get this fresh, filtered water for .25/gallon. P.S. My friends parents own a different water store and she warned me that it is important to change the filters on a regular basis, which a lot of the people who own those machines never do. So you might be paying for tap water! read more

Very helpful owner, the water is awesome, you could taste the sweetness in the water. The prices awesome if you join their membership, it would be like a lot cheaper than $0.25 per gallon, I paid $50 and I get 300 gallons these freshwater. They also have different Clan packages that you can choose from, like $20 package $30 package and $40 packages as well read more

Summer's a retard, this is a water store and they don't serve food. Cheap water and greet service- they'll carry it outta your car. And they've got alkaline water!! read more

Really good place to pick up water. It's cheap, the guys help you load the heavy bottles to the car, and the water tastes great. The people that work there don't smile or make small talk but I don't mind as I just like going to quickly get my water and leave. read more

Charlie, the store owner, is awesome! He's always pleasant, informative and friendly..best priced alkaline water in Southern California hands down! $3.75 to fill my 5 gallon. If you haven't tried alkaline, do it! It's amazing and you really notice a difference. Thank you Charlie:) read more

When I used to work for a local (and pretty well established) water softening and water purification company here in San Diego I stopped by this place one day. I wanted to compare this place's water against our filtered water. I knew ours would be better, but I wanted to know by what huge margin. Well, as it turned out, according to our most experienced tech who actually builds R.O. (reverse osmosis) systems the water from Vinh Hao tested the same as ours....wow, needless to say I've been buying my water here ever since. For the quality of this water you cannot beat the price. To put it in perspective, I can buy the equivalent of 3 cases of 1 liter bottled water here for the price of a single 1 liter case of Kirkland/Costco water (including CRV). Both are treated by reverse osmosis. read more

The water here is great quality. Fresh tasting and very clean. They are fast and very efficient. The only thing is they take cash only. No credit card. read more
