I am so blown away by our experience with Fresh Air AC and Heating. Our air stopped working and called them at 6pm and shared we were extra concerned about having our AC fixed to ensure our house stayed cool for our baby. Jorge came out to give us an estimate on our AC which needed to be replaced. He was on time for the appointment, friendly and THOROUGH! I mention this because so many other AC companies barely looked at our equipment and didn't want to explain what they thought we needed and why. The very next morning I received his very detailed quote, everything was clearly spelled out. The quote was slightly higher than another and we ended up (foolishly) going with another company. We shortly regretted it when the lowest bidding company disappeared after the install and now we are left wondering if the thermostat is running correctly. This review is for customer service from Fresh Air AC and Heating as I haven't actually had them come out to check out my mini split a/c problem yet. I'm trying to DIY it with the manufacturer's online tutorials and troubleshooting but if that fails, I'll be calling Fresh Air AC and Heating based on their reviews and the customer service I have received already. I provided a description of my issue(s) via the Yelp contact form for the company. Despite not having yet hired them, they have been really responsive and helpful with suggestions/info so far. Other companies have simply responded that they "don't offer that service" despite being listed as a/c repair contractors. I'm being kind of a cheap-o trying to DIY it but a/c repairs are $$$ and I haven't won the Lottery (yet.) I'm handy and a serial DIYer but a/c systems are not my forte so it is probably inevitable that I'll have to call in the experts. If so, Fresh Air AC and Heating is #1 on the list of those I'd call. If you're looking for an a/c repair company and customer service is important to you, I strongly recommend that you give Fresh Air a try. I will update as my situation moves forward. read more

Our AC started making strange noises and a couple days later stopped working altogether. We knew it was an old unit from when we purchased the house a few years ago, but the sudden issue during one of the hottest weeks in Whittier was a major inconvenience. Jorge was amazing! We all know it's been HOT AF and not the ideal time for your AC unit to crap out. So it's Saturday morning and we notice that the exhaust fan is constantly going AND it's a nice 88 degrees in the house. Problem. I ducked out and let the partner deal with this. He called 8 repair places before finding Fresh Air. It was either a no can do or they left us hanging. Jorge responded to us and gave us a same day appointment. Overall, we're really happy having Fresh Air AC and Heating perform our first yearly check-up of our heater. We wanted to go with someone more local to us, and who also had good reviews and wasn't as expensive as maybe another company on Yelp with hundreds of reviews for our yearly maintenance. They might get more popular and raise their prices, but for now, they are very reasonable and we plan to use them again for yearly check-ups to our AC and furnace. Everything checked out fine with our furnace, but we also wanted them to assist with our filter framing since it wasn't fitting properly. Rather than just charge us to reframe the vent, he made a more "do-it-yourself" recommendation, which I appreciated. Anyway, service was great overall and we plan to use them again. read more

Old AC/heating system from 2012 when I move in and most likely older than that, then 2016 did an update, but it wasn't a fully update. Whenever I turn it on, I feel there is some weird noise, so I had recommended by my plumber. All week, it's been over 105 degrees, and of course, it's Murpy's Law that my air conditioner was destined to break now. To make matters worse, it was Sunday, and I immedaitely told my wife there was little chance we would have anyone over to fix it before Monday. The temperature slowly climbed in my house until I got on Yelp and wondered if I could miraculously get a technician over on a Sunday during the hottest heat wave of the year. I called Fresh Air AC and Heating and Jorge immediately picked up. I explained my situation and several hours later, he was at my door. After thoroughly diagnosing my system and hooking it up to what looked like a blood pressure kit, he explained that a deep cleaning of my condenser would probably fix everything and make my whole system run stronger. He took everything apart and cleaned it, and when the system came back on, the condenser ran so smooth and quiet like I never heard it before. He could have totally taken advantage of my situation and charged me an arm and a leg, but he was honest and got my air conditioner working better than before...on a Sunday...during the hottest heat wave of the year. We called George and he was able to send one of his guys (Jonathan) out to our house about an hour later. We needed some parts for our 45 year old system, but the unit was too old to find the replacement parts for it. George and his crew ended up installing a beautiful, made in the USA, air conditioner and furnace. They rebuilt the platform (the original wood was rotted), installed the new a/c and furnace, new condenser, a new UV Air Filtration to eliminate inside/outside odors, and removed the old system. They did all of this in one day and only a couple of days after meeting with them. Every time we called George, he answered his phone. He was easy to work with, listened to our needs and concerns, and his prices were very fair.
